Guest shokka9 Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 the page pool also depends on user usage of the ROM. I am running 18mb, not had any issues with video (movie-avi) playback, no issues with opening large apps (Opera etc). My system is very quick...i am also running 21806. You need to remember that if you leave apps open, this will eat resources and ultimately freeze the Omnia. If you close everything down that is NOT in use, the 18mb (and even 20mb) page pool size will not cause any issues. However if you tend to leave apps running in the background and then try to open large file/app etc, it will crash. You just need to keep on top of it. Also the battery driver issue: Personally i havent had a drain like some of you have mentioned? But most people report the same issue, that if you go thru 2-3 battery charges, then the issue disappears. I have requested kabkab make a 5% version, personally i think it will work better and be more accurate. He said he will look into it, i also mentioned the drain issue to him, but it doesnt affect everybody, so i dont know how he can look into it and resolve it. Sector.....chat to you later bro :D.....keep up the very good work and dont forget your studies!!! ;)

Guest cobrica Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 Watch your language please. == It is hard to investigate the error as it happens to randomly although i have some ideas but i have to check it out. Anyway i will make 2 versions in next rom, one with and one without the battery. Although the pagepool size will be equal for everyone. cheers PS. my experience also with the driver. i had a bit faster draining problems at the beginning but i gave it some time to adjust, and hey it is stable now. Make thet will be 18mb cause it is fast and no problems with any programs..

Guest shokka9 Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 (edited) Many Thanks Shokka9... so let me get this straight install this and I can proceed to flashing higher roms? It wont make any difference bro....you can install whatever ROMs you like...most of the newer one dont come with the phone part. So whatever phone part you currently have, it will remain after flashing. This will obviously update your phone part to DXID1, but it doesnt mean anything really. You can use the newer ROMs without issue. If you not on a newer ROM, download Pako's i900EXE_cutor from the sticky threads here... Download whatever ROM you want (sector's 21806). Run Pako i900EXE_cutor, disassemble sectors ROM. Re-assemble sectors ROM and add the DXID1 phone part. The exe that you will get afterwards is your new ROM... Use it and you will have everything updated in one go. Good luck Edited June 10, 2009 by shokka9
