Hi,

Im new to all this. I have just installed the latest ROM and it is great. however i have a problem with the keyboard. I cannot get the finger keyboard to work, it just shows the samsung keyboard. Also, the predictive text bar does not show up when i am typing using T9 after the device is unlocked. Is there any fixes for this?

Hello all,

just a question: what app are you using to let TomTom work?

Hi Mike,

I use GPSgate. It is not free but is pretty cheap. They have a trial, but I found you must get/use a key first to get full effect. Set for com3 in and virtual com6 out. Then set TomTom6 for com6 in. It is a little bit of a pain to remember to run GPSgate first. but TT6 came with my Omnia so it is worth it. Also TT6 maps are from April 08 with no updates to come. :D

I've found a problem but I'm not sure if WinMo6,5 is the problem or the PDA version "DXID" on 6.1 base.

Never the less i want to describe it.

When u chose the theme "Black Gloss" and u are using der Samsung Dialer u can't type numbers, because a black screen ,behind the "black" digits u r typing in, causes that u can't see what u r typing.

When u use the "Classic Blue" theme the screen behind the numbers u r typing is blue. In this case u can see the black digits on the blue screen...

So there should be a fix that the digits u r typing are white... in this case u would see the digits perfect...

I hope someone can help me find a solution for this...

(P.S. sry I'm german and the english is not always perfect ^^)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin\Dialer\Portrait\Text]

"textColor"=dword:00FFFFFF

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin\Dialer\Landscape\Text]

"textColor"=dword:00FFFFFF

this will make the digits white.. 00ffffff is base from html color code

Another problem i found is that after a restart or just after hours(maybe a day) the function of the rotation (the motion sensor) and the camera works no more. If u use the motion sensor manually it works fine. The problem just apperas with settings on automatically.

The camera doesn't work even if u try it per system---> camera or directly over the cam button on the right.

I've found out that alway when this problem appears the taskmanager in the upper right corner(symbol beside the battery) where u can quit programms and see ur RAM isn't there anymore.

After a restart it's all fine again but that's not how it should be. Maybe u guys can fix it

Hi Guys

Im currently on DXID1_v21806_vT1L_18mb - and i think its a great rom, best ive used yet.Is perfect for spbmobileshell3!

No crashes, bugs etc. apart from when switching keyboards it keeps defaulting to samsung keyboard - quite annoying but ok.

The question i have is...would there be any benefits for me upgrading to the latest Rom? Is there anything worth upgrading to?

thanks cd78

Offtopic: Omnia Pro / Louvre

So exactly after 1 Year Samsung is re-releasing the i900 with new AMOLED-Screen, QWERTY-Keyboard and some minimal-differences. Of course, same price as the Omnia when it launched in middle of 2008...

@grop: I've heard that the "Screen" of the white Pro which you have posted is possibly a fake. The Interface wont look like this but thats of course a rumor.

Just hold the hide icon on FingerKeyboard and it'll get you back to the standard keyboard.

Nice one, that worked straight away :D

read info on FIRST PAGE !

Some other remarks:

-To enable honeycomb go to Settings and disable Large Start Menu.

-To see the full screen caller the phone must be locked.

-Check down for coloring, tips and tricks. Soon i will add cab repository.

pls remove the photos from post or resize them !

Some guys here who can fix problems like these i posted on the previous site...???

The thing with the rotation, the taskmanager and the camera is for sure a prob of the winmo6.5.

This thread is for finding bugs not for talking about new phones isn't it guys?!

Phone is muting whilst in-call...

Under power settings, the lcd screen is set to turn off after 10 secs connected (prevents ears, cheeks etc from touching buttons...). Using U1alite, when this option kicks in the fone also mutes... only way to unmute is to press front or power buttons. Can solve the problem by turning off the power settings option, but then you get the problem of ears / cheeks etc pressing buttons! Anybody know if there is another setting buried somewhere such that I can keep the 10 second lcd off but prevent the phone from muting?

Thx

This thread is more focused on windows mobile 6.5 than on the new omnia i think so it's better to talk about the new omnia in a new topic.

Maybe i am wrong but i thought it why not post it?

Any new info on a newer rom incoming or can i flash my phone with this(read: current) one?
