it happen only when phone is locked. but when the phone is not locked, the ugly Samsung pop up show caller ID

BUT.... I think you should seriously consider including the BT fix (wakeup problem or not) so at least there is ONE clean Rom with all the fixes. Bear in mind that older winmo devices always required the power switch to wake up so we shouldnt find that odd behaviour. And, if one does not use the BT for voice activated calling, the wakeup issue does not surface. So for those who do use BT will be happy with it despite the issue, and those who do not, wont even notice.

This + the TMC fix that BeamRider is working on should round off all the fixes or missing functions (ie voip) that the unit needs.

Actually 2 "Bare" Roms, one based on 6.1 and the experimental 6.5. That way all parties are set.

Any idea on how to customize the task bar/start menu icon as grigoris_a taskbar prog doesn't work: the task bar turns out to be all black except the word "start", although the "X" still works to close programs, even though you can't actually see it!

My battery life improved significantly after i disabled 3G. I do not use GPRS of any sort, thus disabling 3G doesn't make a difference to be. In fact, in Singapore, the coverage for 2G network is better than 3G.

Search the forums on how to disable 3G.

A Challenge to All Cooks --

Are our cooks up to the challenge of making a Rom (using this great WM 6.5 rom as start) where 3G works for US? (I have AT&T-US) B)

Many threads on other sites think the Qualcomm chip has all the frequencies needed. Just firmware (rom) needed. - See example below- a post from Mobileroar.com

As to the first question - I think our cooks are the best anywhere, and can do it if this can be done!

Hi sector,

I like your rom, I have always liked to upgrade whenever a new update comes from you, thank you. Yesterday i flashed your F2. At the very beginning I had troubles with the CallerID stuff (in the lock mode). Then i read here that with a couple of hardresets and softresets it works, and in fact it did B).

The problem I am left with is the same problem I have had since i firstly flashed the DXIA5 (27.02.2009). My problem then was with the password protected wifi connection, it used to connect but no access to internet. I didn't bother a lot since i had also a free hot spot (not protected with password) and i used to connect via that one (which allowed me to get access to the internet).

Now with this rom (F2) I have problems with wifi (pass-protected), wifi (not pass-protected), activesync cable connection internet. In all cases i can connect, but i have no access to internet. A message pops up saying "The connection has been ended. To change our connection settings, tap Settings".

I think it's a matter of connection configuration in my ppc. I wanted to create a new connection in the connections settings, and since in this one I don't have a connection named "The Internet" I wanted to name my new connection so, but a message popped up saying that this name already exists (but i don't see it).

I would be very glad if you could help me, as my ppc without internet is somehow boring :(

21140 is older than what we use. 21140 < 21189 (21193 later)

Oh, if only I could.....

There are some suggestions that roms from Omnia HD might have a clue, or another Samsung model that supports the right North or South America frequencies that uses the same chip might hold the secret. Other than that, I am completely loss with this. It won't be an easy one, or it would have been done by now with all the chatter on other sites wishing for a solutiuon.

But I have hope you guys can do it if you choose to take it on (this tape will self destruct in one minute, Mr. Phelps! B) ).

I confirm that the batery is draining really very fast. didn't manage to have a day

So i pulled of the rom.

thanks Qbus, Sector and Khuanchai for the hard work, but there is still a lot to do

i'm impressed with the pdaviet 21169 / PV20B, little slower in the start menu/browsing application,

but, really impressive work on the display, and on integration of youtube, with really very good video.

This version is older than these ones, why not to improve and to work on the basis of what is already good.

It's a lot of efforts spent.

just give it a try and you will understand what i mean.

must say that i check the roms 1-2 days before releasing them and i have no issues with battery so far.

it is ok to make a "bad" comment thats how we can fix some things or make improvements.

other users might have also ideas on how to solve this B).

I have the same problem issue.I had connect to Wi-Fi, but still can't to active with the IE / Opera or Skyfire Browser ! B)

Actually battery life is improved in the 21189 w/BT fix compared to the 20271 w/BT fix both from Khuanchai.
