Seriously though, you need an XP machine to upgrade your firmware with custom ROMs... and maybe time to read up a bit on the process - good luck.

Hi Guys,

I noticed in this rom some of the old windows panels have a different font than I have seen on other roms.

Is there an easy way to change the windows font back to what was there in the past???

Sector edited the cprs to reflect the new font. If you want to change back to the original font, open up all of your cprs and change the font back to tahoma. You can use notepad and select replace all, type in the first box the font name sector used in the cprs and then in the second text box type in tahoma and select replace all.

I have an issue with honeycomb, all buttons are ok, all menu on the screen are ok but the start menù freeze and i have to soft-reset the phone. Anyone have the same issue ? someone have solved the problem ?

Thanks. The font itself doesn't bother me, but the vertical spacing is almost double the old standard.

It even shows up on the dialpad I'm using and looks not so good with the letters on the buttons. The small letters actually run into/behind the large numbers (as in 'abc2'), so I guess the horzonial spacing is off too.

One more thing - I've searched device for cprs with no hits. So how do I get to it, I guess in the flash file???

Update- I searched and found a xda thread on the reg changes for a font change and another post on how to check system font with tweaks2k2. All show system font as tahoma. But it just doesn't look right. Any help?

Now the handelgotD font is a bit larger and in the dialer skin all alphabets dont get as much space on a button to appear fully. You can think of keeping the samsung dialer intact, only changing the colors not the font, or making the font size smaller.

i will keep the original fonts. :D

it was just to see if you like it more but it looks like it affects also other apps not only titanium.

fantastic rom, very impressed. i still have speed issues on this rom, however very much improved from previous. switched back to Khuanchai's rom. Sector will u make an ultra lite?

no i will keep the lite rom.

i have loaded more panels than Khuanchai that's why it is less speedy. i dont want to strip it down :D. i like putting some spice to my roms.

it is better to have different tastes from roms from diff chefs.

we talk with Khuanchai and it is useless if we make similar roms...

just flash with the rom it fits ur needs from any chef.

Another thing i want to add is that im not having any issues with synchronizing my contacts etc.

One problem i have saw now it is that IE doenst show reload and stop icons. i hope i will find the solution to the update.

it seems like this build misses some things, even xip.

bro, you must get back to the original omnia dialer to videocall...

just do like this (it works!):

-Install a registry editor (like Resco registry or Regedit)

-Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ Security\ Phone\ Skin\

-Select the file named "Enabled" and open it

-Select value: "Data" and put 1 as the DWORD (cancelling 0)

-Do a Soft Reset and that's it.

use advance configuration then enable the phone skin.. this will also enable video call and the default phone dialing pad.

Anyone else having issues with ActiveSync with the latest and greatest from sector... I think it's W lite now.
