You can do it by replacing the StartMenu_Hexagon_Active.png to circle............ located in your device's Windows folder....

How come I don't have either of these files in \windows folder???

Has anyone figured out how to make SMS-Chat (Vito) the default for SMS in WM 6.5?  Especially when you click on the notifications plugin, or does anyone know how we can edit the plugin to grab from SMS-Chat and open SMS-Chat?

well i have built it but it has some bugs.

dont know if u would like me to upload it.

one bug that exists not only in my rom is that when u click an icon in Settings or in Programs it get distorted.

i can live with it, dont know if u can though ;).

not a big deal.

I would probably say wait, as you tend to release your roms mostly perfect.  Also the issue with the icons, do they stay distorted as long as you are in that menu or even after exit and re-enter settings or programs?  Or do you have to soft-reset to make icons return to normal.  Depending on answer, I think people would feel differently about that bug.  Thanks as always sector!  Glad to see you back buddy, many are waiting for your roms as we don't wanna use others lol.  We're spoiled here!

no the problem is permanent. whatever u do.

there might be more bugs that i cannot find right now...

im thinking to skip this build to be honest. it is very bad release. i can upload a working 23001 if u want.

sector.. don't you think that building a rom with high pp size (18mb) will be very good for overall speed of the device ??

I used one rom before with a pp in this range, and to tell you the truth I felt that it was the best rom in terms of speed, reponse, scrolling.

Did u hard reset.... lots of error comes if u don't... and lots of newbies (looking at ur number of posts=5, no hard feelings please) don't read or don't HARD reset....

I'm having the same problem, endless cycle of reboots after the message ""preconfiguration It is necessary to restart the device for changes to take effect"". I followed the

instructions on doing a hard reset after the flashing but still no luck. I've tried to reflash but I can't it just says it is downloading but stays in 0% after like 10 hours of waitng.

Can someone help?

dont really know. diff SYS and COMTREE. i guess MS is improving their build despite 23003.

18mb it is too much. we are not so rich in ram ;). im sticking with 12mb or 14mb.

Hey sector, could you talk to kuanchai and see maybe where the difference is here and see why we aren't able to default SMS-Chat as is possible on kuanchai.  I really don't wanna use his roms as I am a fanboy of yours.  Wonder if maybe something different is done differently during building the rom. I know I have questioned you about this previously and have said it won't work... wonder what the deal is

Just attempted it again, still not working. Wonder what the difference between the 2 roms are nixxss? But you are sure you are able to make SMS-Chat the default for SMS? Because what I really am wanting to do and I will include a screenshot is when a new text message is displayed on the notification plugin, I want to be able to select that and have it open up SMS-Chat.

EDIT:  Screenshot now included...  So what I have highlighted is the notification panel that normally displays missed calls, voicemail, email, and text.  When selecting that, is when I want SMS-Chat to open instead of MS default SMS program.

You know what else is weird about changing those registry settings, it doesn't affect anything.  You could put a bunch of random jibberish in there and SMS will still continue to function.  What I had in there before changing it was tmail.exe which I have no clue what the hell that is for. Do you have any thoughts sector?

Sector is it possible to provide the titanium notifications in cab file? the one with 4 icons and 0 counters, I tried to download in other sites and I'm having problems with the email icon (X button icon).

About the modified honeycomb for better smooth scrolling, is it possible to apply it without flashing to new rom?

The taskmanager tweak also can be done without new flash?

Sorry for asking but I cant flash rom that much.

i just installed sms-chat.. and when i get a new message i get this popup.. i don't have the full version as i was just trying it, but its awesome! i luv it..

I've been using khuanchai's roms and sectors.. i find it hard to choose.. sectors look sooo good and have EVERYTHING u would need, however they are a bit sluggish.. Khuanchai's are really fast and responsive, but missing components.. and they don't look as good as they are mostly lite versions and ultralite.. i can't get them to look as good as sectors.. i've tried.. also i can't get video streaming to work on sectors, but found the missing app that made it work on khuanchai's.. so using his, i can view the news broadcasts which r free on my network.
