hey guys..i am a total newb...i downloaded the 23064 (Titanium Lite) - Released on 11/10/2009

Version Hades with Neo Titanium unzipped it. I turned my cell phone off, plugged it in, and started the omnia. But the program says pda device not found. i am using windows 7...

Sector : it works, all defaut items appear on today screen.

can i set today weather city manually in M2D ?!

because Google location don't work in my country ! and always show my city is williamsville (im in Asia) !! but when i use gps and find my location in Google map and update weather in today page ,show my city properly ! but i cant use gps every time for update weather

Hi hellboy,

I can only discuss in details the first issue. As to the second, I have a lot of apps added on. I was still on 23047-UL for several weeks until today. I noticed no growing problems. As to the third, I use SPB3 with the UL version, not M2D or Titanium at all.

Your 75/78 numbers are in place of normal 129/127 numbers. This would indicate to me that the left to right alignment is correct, but the 3rd and 4th crossmarks at the left bottom and right bottom end up being too low on the screen. This can be tested using the keyboard with the very small letters. When you touch a letter (using stylus) a different letter highlights. Can you do this test???

PS- my numbers using the manual alignment app are: 514,509 180,887 174,146 862,141 834,892

and on another device: 519,503 177,881 182,129 847,127 849,872

So you can see they are different but closer than yours.

So I am thinking that unless your device was really screwed up at the factory screen install, the 75/78 is just wrong.

Ok here's the thing, i'm quite sure that the part of the screen, that is on the same place as the processor has partly ruined sensitivity, therefore, i can't say much if align is wrong here (will replace the screen with warranty sooner than later), but if i press hard enough, it's quite precise, then the sides, with stylus, u can't get it wrong (not much pressure needed and didn't make a mistake), and with finger, only for typing messages, i need nails, otherwise i can do with just my finger cushion, so i think (since my align was off from the first time i aligned my screen after buying omnia) that it's a hardware issue, cause i always had problems with getting it right, it works on Khuanchai roms, i can align the screen even if the middle is a bit ruined, but when it comes to sector ROMs, i just can't align the screen to make it work good (i guess i could try putting numbers manuals, but with 1 cm off align, it would take about an hour to get it right), i really tried like 30 times in row (middle really hard to get pass on, sides, just a gentle touch needed, but align screen keeps repeating- it's the same with Khuanchai ROM but i get pass align screen in 2,3 attempts). Well anyway, now i already made my phone as it was but with better build and m2d 2.0, so i guess i'm good till i'll put an official ROM on and get the screen replaced with a newer one. About the align, i just think my screen has a different align than yours, what would put your screen 1 cm off where u press, makes mine work and same goes if we turn the situation around.

I got myself an Omnia since they are a bargin right now from my carrier here in Sweden. And since I used wm 6.5 on my diamond and kinda liked it I thought I have to have it my Omnia aswell and of course use Sectors latest creation;)

Ok I have really tried to do my homework here, I've read through the "How to flash Omnia thread" like a 100 times now to get it right but I just wanna check some things with you guys first! I'm using vmware since I have win 7, my first problem was that the activesync connection was a bit dodgy, this was fixed by unchecking the "andvanced network functionality" this does not interfere with the flashing procedure does it?

According to vmware the phone is listed as Samsung MITs USB Sync, is this correct aswell?

In addition here is my PDA info i900CSHJ6/CSHJ2, and it is locked btw, does it need to be unlocked? (saw the unlock thread).

Am I good to go or is there something else I need to do?

By replacing the screen I think you mean the digitizer and not the real LCD screen below the digitizer. You can get the digitizer on ebay real cheap now. And it is very easy to install with instructions pinned at beginning of the major topic here. I have done a couple and its not too hard if you take your time and follow the instructions mentioned.

Yes sorry, i meant digitizer, although i don't know which one causes both or one of the two problems, i'm quite sure it's the digitizer that has bad sensitivity on middle, while i think the strange align comes from the actual LCD screen below, that's why i am seriously considering to repair it while it's still under warranty (although i think i have 2 years of warranty, so after december it's gonna be 1 year since i bought my omnia).

Been testing the Titanium Light rom for a few hours now and here are my thoughts so far:

1.Did crashed in the beginning right after I hit "next" on the time regio, date etc. screen! Restarted it and the next time it was ok! Guess it got overwhelmed figuring my net settings and asking me if I want to set date\time autamatically at the same time :)

2.After some time holding the start button pressed did not opened anymore showcase ;)

3.The sms "reply" bug in non threaded mode!!! is still present for my dissappointment. I am still not shore what does the "sms fix" exactly fix!?

Otherwise a stable, fast rom with very good touch sensitivity! Now for things that are non "cooker" dependent I think the different options in the menus are too largely spaced and are making me scroll needlesly too often! Same goes for File Explorer! For example before to get my email i just hit "opt" and send\receive. Now I have to scroll all the way down to get to that option! Dont get me wrong guys but this is not user friendly! Other than that brilliant rom and we all know thanks to who :(

PS: Am downing 23064 M2D now and some time tomorrow I will probably share some impressions!

PS2: God this upper left corner looks empty and bizarre especially in spb!

Just go to programs and on IMselector chose Samsung Keyboard and restart the phone.

I'm guessing you already used executor and are using udsl for the flashing? Keep restarting your omnia with the stylus everytime it fails and let the program be. It'll work, it just takes a few tries :)

Apart from TouchFlo restart itself issue, I found that the battery drain much faster than previous Sector's ROM. Not sure if it is in my Omnia or not ? Does anybody experience the battery drainage issue ... thanks!

no experience of battery drain... maybe u need to recalibrate your battery...

reply sms does not work in 23064 neo version. have to bring up the keypad and rapidly press the keys before the reply screen comes up. very annoying, and wondering if can be solved, or it's an issue with MS...

nope, doesnt work. i think another guy posted the same problem as me. all the sms fix does is to enable going into the inbox when it was not possible before.
