Hi sector,

Is phone part DXIA5 out yet? If so it might be good to include in next Rom so we can all update, and then forget it for a while after that, as you have done with DXIA2 (for quicker flashes I think).

Two days for any PDA type device (if you use your Omnia as such) is very reasonable. I am use to charging PDA devices every night.

Ron...

just couse you are used to it does not mean its normal !!! And if I use it as a PDA it hardly lasts the day B)

Nooooooo, sector please dont go down the M2D route... there are so many ROMs that have it and its nice to have a clean(ish) 6.5 ROM ...

I've tried M2D and I like it but I kept going back to the Omnia Touch Wiz interface... but now I've got Titanium (customized) and SPB Mobile Shell I am very happy.

Anyone got any news on Mobile Shell 3????

dude you got to remember this is a smartphone with GPS, WiFi etc ...

its not a nokia 6100 phone that can just text ...

2 days is pretty darn good for a smart phone.

Haven't forgotten that B) Still the excuse that this device is "so much more" does not compensate for the fact that the developers of all PDA phones are helpless with the battery life problems! And should just admit that instead of filling our heads with noncense and insulting our inteligence!

I still have H1, didn't upgrade to H2.

Waiting for H3;

it's a bit boring to install all the software and the configurations needed for everything i use to be always upgrading the rom. So i'm waiting for this new "bombastic" B) piece of work of "Lord" Sector :(

Agree with the opinion posted above, please do not include M2D, there are a few otions to customize today, leave for each one to choose the best for his/her Omnia.

About the rest, almost everything important was included in H1 and H2, minor changes needed.

Keep the goooooood work!

Thanks - new life to my omnia since i read Modaco forum.

P.S. - Please leave this thread clean. Only talk about the work we all apreciate and leave all the rest for a new topic....

From the number of rebuttals to your comments, there seem to be many here who accept that battery life (vs size) hasn't kept up with PDA function availability and usage. It's a fact of life for heavy PDA/phone users. I think the manufacturers are aware every PDA guy is a closet Tim Allen and wants "more power". :( (footnote: reference to US TV show 'Tool Time' for those who don't know.)

And so we can say we are staying on topic - I think the cooked roms have better battery life than the official Samsung roms. Why is this? I don't know. Maybe some background apps are gone.

Sorry i just had to do it....

Neither am I but I at least pretend to know a period.  B)

Btw the battery lasts long enough for a smartphone. I guess you'll just have to wait for people to design ultra high capacity uranium powered battery packs.

Great rom and keep up the good work (i'm waiting a little for it to come out of beta).

I think you guys misunderstand my point. "Vibrate on connect" means when you make outgoing call the phone should vibrate when it's connected like the function on HTC diamond (the same with Inetsoft)

@Sector: Can you please help me explain this in details? Thanks much

I think you have to do it just like me...

Start for the one you want in bottom and press and hold ---> choose move to top - it gets that shortcut in position 1, repeat for all the others till u get them in the order u want....

It was the only way i found to change the order, not fast but it works.

Hi guys. Just a quick question: H2 has just the pda part, right?

Hi guys. Just a quick question: H2 has just the pda part, right?

Most of the latest cooked roms do not update the phone part. There are a couple of little parts/files that are also updated. New boot-loader, CC-something, etc.

The phone part will stay as you have before flashing. Check out Settings/System/Version before and after flashing. For a lot of us, we will have DXIA2 phone left over, but it will be what you had before flashing.
