ok i think i found the offset for timebomb and replaced it.

i will make the rom now and check if it is working B)

i hope it is removed

yes, please make it now. a new SYS/XIP will come out in a week or two, by that time we may find the solution.

i know some people like Samsung keyboard & want it to be cooked in. but i find Finger KB is lot finger friendly & if there's the SS KB in there, FingerKB's word suggestion won't work. to be fair, can you leave them all out or make it uninstallable?

the phone rebooted at least 50 times until i turned off cause the noise was making me crazy, i downloaded the samsung modem but still doing the same thing, from where can i download the samsung modem driver, since the one form the samsung site is not working aparently

good luck. make sure u have active sync installed too!! and that u are using windows xp.

try nixxss Samsung driver, restart your XP machine & reflash your phone again.

ROM Flashing 101 (or 'A Guide To Not Making The Same Stupid Mistake As Me')

When flashing your Omnia, please make sure you do not confuse the USB lead with the power cable (which looks the same.)

This will avoid hours of frustrating hard resets while you try to work out why the ROM installer does not recognise your phone.......

No it isn't honeycomb.

It just Largestart menu, I've tried it. B)

This problem make me mad, I don't know why it closes honecomb, I can't set that program to the whitelist? ( menu disabled )

I agree with hlay, FingerKB is far better than Samsung Keyboard. I would rather loose SS KB to go for word suggestion or XT9 feature if available for FingerKB.

talking about keyboards.. i found the easiest.. (they are all so god damn hard to use) being the samsung one.. has anyone found a really easy one to use? i think that's the thing now that i hate about the touch screens.. everything else is falling into place with sectors roms and other prgms.. however the keyboard is still the hardest part.. i find it very hard to type sms's and most of the time just give up cos its just too slow or hard..

so i will upload in a while the new rom. it has the timebomb inside because after removing it cant get BT or WiFi work. till we find a better fix.

it shouldnt be a problem as it expires on September 2009 and a new release will come before that.

Sector with all do respect to you and the great work you are doing, how long do you think these new builds of wm 6.5 will still come out couse I am growing tired of all the time flashing my phone! I know that there's never gonna be the perfect rom but are the updates in these new builds essential and really worth the flashing? And is there a place where we can check what is new in each build? I am sorry if I am not asking the right questions about the right things but I am a bit lost with all these builds and stuff B) Thank You

if u have a look at the write up of each rom there are explanations on what has changed or what was removed.. also by reading the forum you'll see people giving suggestions as to what should be added and or removed.. sector uses this as a guide and tries to please everyone.

haha good question :(.

well the latest release will be Windows Mobile 7 and it's gonna be released on 2010. I guess we will getting updates for 6.5 till i dont really know when.

of course no one force you to flash the phone. if u want to flash it's up to you actually. you can always get better and sometimes bad things with a newer SYS core.

you can always check the 2nd post for more updates.
