Thanks sector for your great ROM! :excl: Yesterday I flashed version 21500 J1.

I have one problem: I am unable to configure a connection to an exchange server over the internet.

Normally, that has to be done by configuring a server-source in activesync (when not connected to a PC running activesync USB otherwise the add server-source option will be greyed out).

If I add a server source, I follow the setup screens and when I click "finish" on the last screen (the one where you select the content you want to sync, like email, contacts,...) Activesync returns to its initial setup screen without creating the server source. The 'Welcome to windows' e-mail message shows up in my e-mail inbox.

I hard resetted a few times and tried again, searched for similar problems, but it did not help.

My previous ROM was the WM6.5 v2_21198 from shokka9, I had a working exchange connection with that ROM.

Anyone using this ROM and syncing over the internet with an exchange server?

Or you may have some ideas to try to figure out whats wrong?

Solved: I have got it working correctly. Tried a non SSL connection first.

Hi nice and good working ROM

But the today screen area are sensitive in device lock position before backlight turn down.

Are there a way to turn off today area sensivity

hey master dude.. you havent replied to my connection issue..would you mind telling me why automatic configuration on connection is not there..dont wanna configure my proxy manually.. i even change operator settings and adapters to internet.. thanks thanks..

I dont know fritz... Was it there before on previous roms? Maybe u need to configuire it.

21198 was also working here. I dont know if MS made some changes and now it is not working... It is not up to me to fix this, im sorry. Some guy here said that it was working. Maybe u need to check it again. Im sorry

version 21500 J1 works well for me with Exchange Server

Hi Polle1,

Are you using an internet connection (through a configured server-source) or a PC USB connection (using the local exchange profile of the PC?)?

Yes i am using a internet work Exchange profile server.

I was using Shokka Win 6,5 beta before, but changed to Sector & Khuanchai Windows Mobile 6.5 because Exchange server dident work

with Shokka9 ROM

just to add, my WM6.5 ROMs are virtually identical to sectors :excl:. SO what works for me, should work for him (and vice versa)..

I have some questions..

1. When somebody is calling you can you accept call with "YES" button on mobile(i mean like on standart phones)

2. When you reciving calls and is your cell phone lock still sometime writes unknown number..

3. When you recive call and your phone is locked you have some butons like Speaker On,Volume,Mute,Unlock,Hold and End Call but seems that this buttons dont works..

BTW. rom is very cool and i like it,its speeder and more touch friendly but have some bugs still :excl:. I hope you will fix all them :excl:

Found out that if i replaced 'StartMenu_BackGround_Screen_240x400' and '400x240'.png with my own pic things lighten up!!!! After doing this i found out that this isn't the solution. When i choose a different theme or background... the start menu BG doesn't change with it....

So i was wondering if someone knows which file Khuanchai is using in his rom or maybe which file he hasn't. Otherwise i will have to switch rom..... again!!! and again.... and again....... and again :excl:

Hi Sector, thanks to you for your fantastic work and effort! I can't imagine using a rom with no finger mouse for the life of me. Well, I couldn't before your I1 release, it just did the trick! Still waiting for a working finger mouse, but now I can use your fantastic rom with no mouse because the annoyance of no mouse is more than compensated by the usefulness of the rom.

After enjoying the smoothness of tarils rom instead of the g5 rom. i am gonna try this one! (Sector J1) Hopefully i wont be disappointed!

This does not really fix the problem, but it a work around while someone finds a better solution..

I think the reason the back ground is not darkened, it is because of its tranparency( I think) settings(setted when we select a image for our today screen background).

So the only "fix" that I can offer is

1) choose the picture you want for your start menu as wallpaper.

2) when the setting popup up,set its tranparency settings to 0% so it appears like it normally should

3) accept it.

4) after this, there will be 2 files created stwater_240_400.png and stwater_400_240.png in the windows folder

5) to make the the background for start menu, make copies of the above 2 files and rename them to StartMenu_BackGround_Screen_240x400.png and StartMenu_BackGround_Screen_400x240.png respectively

6) now you can change back your today screen background by setting it again as in steps 1 to 3.

i will darken the picture on next rom 21613. it is simple.

dude, i found these in another forum, i'm not sure if they're in sector's J1

There are included. you dont have to install again or u will mess up the cooked ones

I think 21613 (WVGA) is out. Don´t know its fake or not? Take a look please. :excl:

it seems real but xip is incomplete. we need to find a working xip with Khuanchai.

no. the name of picture is StartMenu_Selection.png , i just forgot to darken it. i will make it on next release or u make it :excl: it is not hard.
