Guest sztupy Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Now this seems a bit unbelievable but.... I can't seem to find the option that causes BT to go missing!!! For some reason re-running with the same config file, BT is still there! This is a very strange one... Anyway, I will be uploading a new version shortly. usually it's the IRDA that removes BT. But sometimes removing Office did remove BT too.
Guest wlogan Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Hi Stevenh, Where is your boot image ? I can only find the pda bin ...Thanks.
Guest gianton Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 (edited) OK BT is back but I can't make a call with my BT headset via Cyberon Voice Dial. I tried MS Voice Command as well but no luck either... am I doing something wrong? :( It was working with Khuanchai's latest ROM and Cyberon Voice Dial! Edited March 9, 2009 by gianton
Guest gianton Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Hi Stevenh, Where is your boot image ? I can only find the pda bin ...Thanks. Here it is http://rapidshare.com/files/207305304/eboot.rar
Guest wlogan Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Here it is http://rapidshare.com/files/207305304/eboot.rar Thanks gianton, I thought he had a specific one starting to test it thanks
Guest gianton Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Thanks gianton, I thought he had a specific one starting to test it thanks It is a specific one from his first ROM. Use only this one.
Guest Stevenh Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Thanks gianton, I forgot to upload the bootimage in v2 and i deleted v1... I've attached the files to the first post now. For the voice dial thing, I used MS Voice Command, tried it just there, had to reset a few times before it would properly register my headset though... For some reason, the CSC isn't getting updated properly, not sure why have to investigate that tomorrow so the full fat version is going to be late... To update to other gps xtra, either copy the program from IA2 or from the CSC image. Thanks for testing Steven
Guest bobobird Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 (edited) Thanks Stevenh - u da man.... One other thing you might need to replace is the GPS Xtras from an older rom. The one in IA5 has again been "abridged" and does not have the wifi tab. About v2 - updated using gp in bootimage and went all the way except at the end when it stuck at Open Com 3 Success and didnt go any further. Mouse does work but I havent tested the BT yet. Guest phewie Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 any possibility in providing the link to download for phone part DXIA5 or DXIA2 ?
Guest shokka9 Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 i can upload for you DXIA2 (which is what is with the ROM DXIA5). If somebody beats me to it, then it saves me a job, but i can upload tonight when i get in. If that helps phewie??

Sure thing shokka =) this will help me confirm 100% whether its the phone rom giving me the issues ... =)
Guest shokka9 Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 i think it will be. If i actually think about it B); the BUIB1 is Vodafone (i dont think they operate over there), so it may be conflicting with something else. Within the PDA side, there is the correct IMEI.pfg which is correct. But when using alongside BUIB1, it does something wrong?? I may rebuild the ROMs, or update them?? Not sure. I use Vodafone, so i know for Europe (mainly UK) the users will benefit from the IB1 phone part. Catch you later phewie. :(
Guest Stevenh Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Hi phewie, what issue are you having with the phone part? Gianton, did you manage to get the voice command stuff working? Bobobird, for the gps xtra I actually replace the oemapps version with the one in csc, this has the wlan bits. For some reason the CSC isn't having any effect so I need to debug it tonight and see if it's something related to the XIP or SYS... I feel another 20-30 builds tonight B) but hopefully will be able to find the reason for the fingermouse issue at same time... fingers crossed.... Shokka, thanks for replying for me while I'm away :( currently at work just now so can't really do much. Stzupy, lastnikita and shokka, I'll post a new XIP tonight which you should be able to use to do update. Maybe someone can work on the 20954 issue while I work on this one? Thanks Steven
Guest gianton Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Unfortunately couldn't pair my BT headset as I did with Khuanchai's latest. Back to QB06M till it's working. Maybe you should try and include CyberonVoiceSpeedDial in your next build, it's a better app. Thanks anyway for your effort m8!!!

Thanks Steven Hmmm ... basically I was using shokka9 version 14 rom and everything was working fine until one day when I updated to his version 15 rom and it seems that my last digit of my 17 digit IMEI number changed from 1 to 2 and my GPS software failed to register as it is tied to the IMEI number. I tested a few roms that having no problems: Qbus, Xray, t2008. Roms that are having this problem are: Shokka's, ur this rom which I used the recommended BUIB1 phone part and the sector/qbus wm 6.5 beta rom. so I suspect that this BUIB1 is giving me the problems ... so I wanna try using ur PDA DXIA5 with a DXIA2 phone part and see if it is giving this issue to give me the final conclusion on what is the problem ... =)

I've been having a few problems with my Jabra BT135 headset as well, will try my Samsung one later when I get home. Basically I've found that after installing MS VC, need to do a soft reset, best not to pair headset just yet... after reset pair headset and see if it works, if not turn of headset and reset pda and try headset again when reset complete. It seemed that sometimes my headset would just refuse to send the voice command to the phone, it's as if it doesn't know it's connected but if a call comes in it routes to headset ok. After turning off headset for 5secs and turning back on, voice command working fine... I've got a list of things I'm going to try tonight, hopefully will find out the reason for this as I remember the bluetooth vc was easier on IA5 even with wakeup fix so it may be something to do with the new OS... Steven

Do you have an app that could capture IMEI number? I remember with my old phones there was a special command to enter with keypad to get that information.... Steven

Guest Stevenh Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 nope just key in *#06# Cool, seems to be the same as my old phones :( Just checked and the last digit of my IMEI is 2 as well, will check again tonight with IA5 firmware and compare.

I am now doing a "double" flash to test see if its the BUIB1 problem ... using Qbus version 06 rom (DXIA5/DXIA2) then flash ur dxia5 firmware this should not overright the phone part right? lets see if it goes well... shall update it hee hee =)
Guest phewie Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 (edited) ok its confirmed ... i flashed ur pda rom on top of the qbus rom and my imei last digit remained at 1 ... think its the BUIB1 giving the problems ... haa ... waiting for ur next version of pda rom to flash =) Oh ya for ur info "share pix" is not working Shokka think you need not upload the version DXIA2 phone part anymore ... if possible i heard that the new DXIA5 phone part is out haa haa ... or is it possible to rescript the BUIB1 ?
