Guest Pete2
Hello folks. As the title says - would it be possible to repackage the latest vodafone rom and flash it via grandprix so that it would give the same info as if flashed using the official updater. The reason I'm asking is that I'd like the ability to get my uk omnia back to vodafone branded rom if i had to send it back for warranty repair. I nearly bricked it when I tried flashing the official vodafone rom and was only able to resurrect my omnia by flashing Lufeigs light rom (using the grandprix installer). Since then I've not had the courage to try anything different.
Guest goodbrand
there is a thread on here that explains how to get round the incorrect software version which is how you would get back to an old vodafone ROM if you required doing so... Just have a look here http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-r...rsion-tutorial/ B) Edited March 16, 2009 by goodbrand

Guest Pete2
Thanks for the replies folks. The option suggested by Carlos0371 didn't work for me and I didn't want to get into hex editing as suggested in the incorrect version fix. I solved it in the end (followed advice from vennerr93 strangely in the vista solution thread) http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-r...vista-solution/ Thanks for the suggestions tho.
