Guest jackljane Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) Hi Master K! I like your ROM very much, compare to others, yours is very very fast. One thing only that when i tap messages or new messages i have to wait for 4 to 5 seconds. Is there any way when can speed up? Thanks. Awaiting Well I know a way to speed things up a bit. This not really a fix but rather defix. Well sorta. I normal ROM when you open a program and press the X it just put the program to sleep in the background. Accessing text afterward would only mean waking the poutlook from sleep. With HTC Task Manager, installed in most Khuanchai ROM, when you press the X it completely close the app. When you try accessing text it would start the app from strorage and it would be slower. So, Exclude the app you use often from being killed by HTC Task Manager. Follow this step. 1. Run all your fav apps. Follow these steps. a. Press start. b. Locate your app in start menu. c. Run the app. (DON'T PRESS X YET) d. Repeat step a for all your fav apps. 2. Open HTC Task Manager. a. Press Start >> Settings >> System >> Task Manager b. In Running Programs Tab, Long Click your app to get The Menu c. Select Add Exclusive. Repeat for app that you want to exclude. 3. Your Exclusive tab should contain a list of app you want to keep in memory when you press X. HTC Task Manager will no longer kill these app. Below is a list of app that I never kill and alway ready for me to call for them. :D Works like a charm for me. Well when I need to run big app like Garmin, I will go to Task Manager and kill some of the process manually to give more room for my Garmin. I can also use SK Tools to free RAM for big apps. Hope this help those people who want to see lightning speed in their fav apps. Edited June 16, 2009 by jackljane
Guest jackljane Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Hello, dear friends. I am learning to cook as well. :D It will be a while before you see my dishes served for your appetite. ;) I would sample and look around all the cooked ROM in here and in some other Forum to make sure my ROM would be unique so that we can have variety instead of more or less the same ROM. One thing for sure it will be cutting edge. It might not be stable but would always be latest. Hmmm. In the mean time Khuanchai's is my fav ROM. Masters, please accept me as your deciple.
Guest forelli Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 i had followed ur instruction.. but facebook and office not shown up on today screen... http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-general...e-6-5-goodies/# post #2 also how to change main background wallpaper? i had try to change but wallpaper only change on the menu(on main today not change) hi monyozt, assuming you are using khaunchai rom, 1. go to Tools>Chome Editor, then look on the lower right part of the screen "Available panels/plugins, go to office, select it and it will ask if you want to enable this panel. Normally after installation it shows up, but you may have to disable some panels first. I installed the Notifications panel, so no need for Email, Voicemail, Text and Missed Calls panels. 2. Which backgroud do you want to change? For the today screen, any PNG will do the trick. For the honey comb, you have to replace some files in the Windows directory: StartMenu_Background_Screen_240*400 (portrait) and StartMenu_Background_Screen_400*240 (landscape). Use Resco explorer to overwrite the files after having made a copy of them! hope this helps forelli

Good luck, Khuanchai one thing i noticed on the 21812 build is the touch response is very poor. even i used native omnia keyboard... in the previous build even applications runs on the background.. keyboard response is seemless.. anyone got same problem? i tried also sectors 21812 and i got the same problem.. :D now i went back to previous build... and this gives me better keyboard touch performance.. but majority of the new build work perfect... thanks khuanchai..

Guest jackljane Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 It works good...but i think that if you don´t close the aplications the battery will drain very fast ...or not?¿?... Good question. Maybe we can test together. IMHO Any batt drain would be minimal because this is the way default WinMo does it. HTC Task Manager is the one Killing the app when we press X. At most I only have 4 resident app running all the time and I have 2 days batt life. Anybody can try this and confirm. If you just recently flash your Omnia, You must to fully drain the bat at least once. After fully charge again you would feel the different. Otherwise batt life might need time to stablised with the new rom.
Guest markkohfm Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 if activesync is left on with a few other apps, my phone gets really hot after a while and the battery drains like crazy

Guest conqueror Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) Hard Work, Great ROM. I'm realizing that your Roms have a common issues which may need your attention: 1- Disabling of Zoomer, which is important for some people and you may leave it optional. 2- Smart Card is not working. 3- Internet Explorer is not reading Arabic sites. 4- Launching Messages (SMS), replying or forwarding has a remarkable delay. Those notes doesn't mean your Roms have no other advantages. Edited June 17, 2009 by conqueror

Guest HugoQueiriga Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 Anyone get their videos not being recognised by the player if you record more than 1 minute? Unable to open any video even on pc with VLC , Quicktime, and so on. Had a great moment recorded but no video now lol ANy idea what is wrong?
Guest kc57 Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 I have recently flashed with this ROM and found it excellent. The BT Voicedial is fantastic when driving. I am still playing with the various functions and reinstalling my varoius apps to ensure comatability. The only issue I have found is when trying to modify the Titanium Tabs. I use the CHome Editor and follow the instriuctions to Add Panel. I get an error message saying "an error occurred on sub_main_writecpr. could not find file \Windoes\240x240.txt. Continue When I then try to add an App Page I get further errors such as An error occurred on sub_main_addpicture. DirectoryNotFoundException I will probably reflas again to ensure it works with no other appas on but any advice would be appreciated. Kev
