Guest gianton Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 Excuse me but Cyberon is only for voice dialing no? My problem is in phonebook. My hands free don't recognize voice commands from the phone. If i want to dial using voice command i have to record one by one the numbers in hands free. Sorry my bad m8... have you installed MS Voice command then?

Guest Khuanchai Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 Friends, Thanks for using my ROM. It's my feeling that most of us like this final UL ROM. ;) At least, nobody hates it so far. :D Sorry having little time to post answers but I read every comment for sure. I always collect your suggestions to improve the coming ROM. Also thanks to those who help answer some questions. In fact, I have very little time to test all functions and many of you know more than I do. :D For the gray background and message boxes, I found that my default pureblack2 theme is not going well with this new ROM build. You may want to try the classic blue theme and tell us the problem is solved or not. Otherwise, I'll make sure to correct this in the next version. Khuanchai
Guest ronaldb3 Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 Thank you for your advise. I think u r a nice guy. One more question for u. My phone can not use 3g. I do not know why. I am in Western Canada. The phone provider is Rogers. I have to set up a new network under "connection" tab. What I can see is "gprs" no 3G. How about your phone? Is it caused by phone's system? Any ideas please. Thanks. Ken Hi kheung, Short answer on 3G - North America (US and Canada and some SA countries) have different frequency for 3G than most of the rest of the world. The Omnia does not have the right freq for NA, only the other one. Many of us are disappointed in this and hope some of the cooks will one day be able to get this into a rom (maybe from the i900L or i908 or i910 or something else). But that will only work if the quam comm chip will work. Some think yes, some say no on hardware ever working for NA. If you want to know a lot more about this 3G problem, there are a couple of very long, older threads on Modaco you can seach for 'Omnia 3G' for that have much more details on this. Ron...

Khuanchai Hi master KC, sorry for that but I will complain: the Notification panel can't, won't does'nt want to be installed in your last Ultralite, namely 21815, this is the only problem for me, so, because I do like to have 1 panel and take 4 off (Voicemail, text, missed call and email), I flashed back to 21812 where they're cooked, although they disappear when installing the fix (non WM& theme), the cab installation works and they do appear, unlike in 21815. Except that, I had 21815 for a day and it was working very good. Thanks again forelli

Khuanchai For super touch sensitiveness... specially on keyboards..'ve got this on sectors thread.. and works super ok.. As pointed out by Rob V in the iphone 3GS vs Omnia II thread, the sensitivity of our omnia's touch screen can be tremendously improved by changing the registry setting at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH. Changing the "downup" value to 150. There's a misconception of using a high value but this will only make the screen less responsive. The default in sector's rom is 750 and I've tried 150 ... honestly, the difference is WOW. thanks to the guy posted this.. forgot his name.. thanks bud... Edited June 24, 2009 by fritzprezz

Guest acccc Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 Hi again, I've done a little research and found that 6.5 doesn't support haptic feedback, does anybody know of any registry tweaks to get it working again? I don't want to sound stupid I hope I haven't missed a menu option or anything but I've gone through all the menus to no avail. Thanks in advance for any help.
Guest teddyking Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) Where can i find .cab for Black Dial Pad just like in 21234 ? (WM Pad not Samsung one) Thanks Edited June 24, 2009 by teddyking
Guest rickyeo Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) 'poutlook.exe' in the /windows directory does not function in the latest UL 21815 rom. And the new gray background causes the page selection tabs to be all the same colour, can't tell which tab is highlighted. Otherwise its brilliantly tight n fast Edited June 24, 2009 by rickyeo
Guest ob3l1x Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 gray backgroud is really only in pureblack theme .... if you select blue theme background is white like before ;-)

Guest jackljane Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 This is easy. You must go to the default app settings in the registry. Use registry editor (recommend PHM or Resco Explorer) \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCLOCK 1. rename key 1 to 1_bak (you might need it back later) 2. create new key name 1 and value "\Program Files\GAlarm\galarm.exe" with the quotes (use the actual path to you exe file) Se my sample with spbtime.exe You can do the same with any other softlinks. Just backup one dir. You will see a whole bunch of keys that start with ":" if you go to this key and do step 1 and 2 above you can change a lot of default app to your liking. It doesn´t work woth me....: Buddy, 1. You seriously need a pair of glasses. :D Can't you see the different between your resco screen and my my resco screen. 2. Maybe I mislead you by saying you need to add newkey instead you need to add new string value. (nowadays instruction need to be precise) name = 1 value = "\Program Files\Your App Path\Your_App_name.exe" 3. YOU MUST REPLACE the value with the exact path to the app you want to run as default :MSCLOCK. In my example I use GAlarm.... EXAMPLE and I don't use GAlarm so I don't know the actual path. You must figure this out.... In my own device I use spbtime.exe if you want to use spbtime install spbtime and follow the value string.... If you use some other clock application find out the path to the exe... 4. Finally your resco screen should have 1 and 1_bak in same screen. Good luck.. I hope I am clear enough this time. :/

Guest kheung Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 1. Read Post#1 Fully (hint: mini how-to #10) 2. Finger mouse has never worked in WM6.5 3. Have u used BT before ?? Connect ur bt earpice with the phone as select wireless Stereo. 4. Go search fro reStart 5. Heard of TaskManager? 6. Sorry, can't help u on that. Thank you for ur advice.
Guest kheung Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 It doesn´t work woth me....: You do not need to creat a new folder for 1. You just add a new key called 1 and its value is the path that you want to add the Galarm. btw, can u tell me how to get the taskbar. Your screen shot show the taskbar or menu bar on the top to the icon being colourful that is very nice.

Hi Ron, Thank you for your advice. I have the same explanation to you. I think the Omnia chipset is designed to be used in Asia and Europe, not NA so I bought a wrong phone. So only we can do is to use Edge but it is very slow in my phone. This is a hardware problem. I do not think the cookers can solve this problem. btw, do u know how to set up the network connection so the Opera mobile can work with wifi. Thanks again.
Guest kheung Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 Hi can u tell me how to use bt to listen the music? What kind of software or set up that we have to do? Please adivse. Thanks.

Hi kheung, DO you have a bt headset? As long as your bt headset is connected as wireless stereo, that's all you need. ALL sounds (phone rings, phone conversations, songs) will be passed to you headset. WHat is your problem exactly or have you even tried it already? What ROM are u using, what headset are you using which is giving you problems?
