Guest tingchung_chin Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 I'm still around. Just having nothing new to share. <_< New ROM build 23016 has been posted for a while but nothing really changed from previous 23xxx. New 219xx builds are not quite compatible with Omnia so I have to skip them. The only interesting ROM for me now is a hybrid of 21928/23016 that you will have normal GUI from 23016 but with 21928 start menu shell. hmm... sound interesting, hybrid ROM had been well established in kingmobile, but i never used before. if you are going to release it, i'll give it a try :) ;) ;)

Many Chesf in Kingmobile have done before. I'm waiting great news from you! :)

Guest zymmer Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 Hi, I'm now running your 23001 3-in-1 ROM and i think is amazing, the best ROM i have tested recently. 21928 3-in-1 ROM was unstable, M2D keep closing and i think the ROM suffered from the auto-kill issue. I also tried sector 23009 M2D and Shokka v17 version and both of them suffered from the same auto-killing problem when memory usage is between 50-60MB (unable to state the exact point when the auto-kill feature pop-ups). My theory is that this "RAM saving" feature was introduced after 23001 and is not well calibrated for Omnia, maybe porting XIP/SYS requires to adapt this feature to the specific amount of memory of Omnia.... After testing the 3 big Cookers ROMs i think your 23001 ROM is the most solid and fluid, but have this request/comment/suggestions: - BT Fix is working (thanks!!!) but is not stable. I use Parrot car kit and first time used i can hear Voice dial beep through car speakers, music is muted and i can say the voice tag, perfect, but after that, beep is never routed again through car speakers (nevertheless the 'not recognized' beep does) and music is randomly muted, what makes voice recognition a pain....Any advice on this?. This is in my opinion the only point left for your ROM to be 100% perfect. - Keep kinetic scrolling there forever, going back to the Omnia standard scroll is a pain (always ends in FTouchSL installed ;)) - I like the pure black theme but including last DJKoaSkin.tsk theme would be nice also. This is a minor, since i can easily install it afterwards <_< - Switch from Favorite Hacks to Advanced Config 3.3...easier for everyone to understand what exactly does each hack :) ANYWAY YOU DESERVE THE REST, so just keep flying around here and offer us a big present in the shape of a final ROM when Microsoft guys finally reach a stable, final, solid ROM (23999 i guess ;) ). Thanks for your hard work man!!!! Regards, Zymmer
