a very fast testing and review:-

1. Scrolling everything work fine and fast.

2. Install google map and try to lock GPS, LOCKED in less than 20seconds (i think KC had remove the old/new log value in registry and this is why i can't find any value inside there, good work!)

3.Wifi no problem like usual, IE connection also no problem (no Icon problem).

4.SRS WOW inside! Great and i dun need to insyall myself yahoooo...

5.Sync with cable and bluetooth work fine as usual.

6.All software installed works! (Google map, clean temp, Windows Msg, MDict, GarminXT, Samsung Clock, Samsung Panel with Chinese wordings, Showcase TaskBar, FavPeople, CLaucher, CHome, Finger Keyboard)

but there is 1 bug, i'm not sure, cos i used to have this is all my M2D problem, but totally not causing any issue :)

Update: Omnia ROM (UltraLite+M2DLite) base DXIF1 build 23016/21928 with BT-audio fix (2 August 2009)

From your request, this is a transition ROM for test only waiting for the official Omnia ROM to come.

Brief specifications:

- ROM base DXIF1 (exactly ID1)

- SYS/XIP from ROM build 23016 (with normal GUI)

- Shell from ROM build 21928 (new start menu icons moving)

- UltraLite ROM

- Manila2D Lite (use M2DC to enable music and photo tabs if needed, Audiomanager/PhotoAlbum/GoogleMaps/Youtube/Opera are not built in)

- SRS WOW HD built-in

- 6MB page pool

Downloading now and will test it. Small request to ask, is it possible to remove Samsung Task Switcher and include HTC Task Manager in a future release (It's really easire to use Task Manager).

thanks! never used to be a fan of m2d until 2 days ago with the m2d ultra lite for gianton. and I must say it is so much better than titanium. takes up less ram and doesn't rely on mortscript. thank you so much khuanchai.

only issue now is to wait for phonealarm to have a standalone app! takes such a freaking long time. am using pzptools in the meanwhile.

Hi Khuanchai, thank you so much for the rom. Would be great if task switcher was NOT(thanks gianton) cooked in. I use wktask and think it is the best.

Not sure we can remove Titanium. It's in fact the main change for WM 6.5 and occupy a little space. You can just ignore its presence by using M2D or other shell programs.

Hi,

To disable Samsung Task Switcher just create a 1 byte (1 letter) text file (using pocket word) file and call it TaskSwitcher.exe. Then go to windows folder and overwrite the original TaskSwitcher.exe with this fake file and you are done, if you sweep up taskswitcher is not appearing and no error message appears....

I know is not a perfect solution but acceptable workaround for me, since this taskswitcher is conflicting with SPB Mobile Shell (changing layout), Inesoft Phone 5 caller id screen and others....

Would be nice if someone can test to open enough memory hungry applications to reach a 90% of memory usage, just to know if this build is free from auto-kill problem....

Either cook HTC Task Manager in or just don't add any Task Manager and we can install what we like more. I am using Showcase atm and find it better.

As for M2D please don't add anything... we can install latest builds of any app later i.e. Opera 9.7b1 works better for me etc.

That's a bug of SRS WOW HD. Check the threads of SRS WOW HD to find the registry hack to solve it.

no no no )) imho, TaskSwitcher that launches with gesture is very useful feature. but if is possible to install it and make appeare by gesture, I think TS can be removed. the thiner is ROM, the more space is left for user to customize it

Answering by slide with Spam alert is annoying cause everytime Task Switcher appears. Better is to install fav task manager after wards.
