[ROM] Omnia WM 6.5.1 ROM base DXIF1 build 23081 with BT-audio fix (1 November 2009)

Using rom UL 23034, have the following findings so far...

1. Installing Touch Response gets rid of the 'slow typing' and double tapping delay. yay!

2. File explorer works.

3. Resco Explorer works, but the toolbar below is cut off somewhat by the thicker 23034 bottom bar.

4. Touchpal 4.0 works

5. Titanium text gets crushed/slimmer sometimes.

6. Bottom of lock screen gets jarbled sometimes.

7. Kinetic scrolling in wm6.5 start menu is gone from this rom???

8. Everything else seems on par with previous roms.

Same for me typing is awesome now.

Probelm now, the lockscreen is not full screen or gets scrumbled at the bottom, also if calls arrive, very annoying.

Hey all After using the latest ROM for a few days I am impressed with the new UI. After fixing up the typing issues with Touch Response (thanks versatylstylz) I installed the new M2D2. Sector has managed to clear up most of the bugs and I am happy to say that it works great. Any chance of incorporating it into your new ROMs KC? It is nice to have the multiple appointments on the home screen. Also is there a way to remove the battery icon and time from the taskbar? I am currently using bati and the time is already displayed so they are both kind of wasted.

As Khuanchai is a busy man, what I think best is for him to release ONLY UL ROMs in all future builds.

We can then easily install our favourite shell (Pointui, M2D, MS3 etc.) and save KC a big time from his free one. :angry: :D

just a follow up, touch response fixed the slow keyboard problem perfectly with khuanchai's "Omnia ROM base DXIF1 build 23034 with BT-audio fix" as well. seems to be quick fix for any 23034. now we can all enjoy texting again on the "new" windows 6.5! :angry:

I can type well on this Khuan last ROM.

Just install Touch Response, (I've installed 0.3.2) and leave it with default settings and it's ok.

G'day people!

Just wondering if there are any other music lovers out there having issues with windows media player performance...

The delay in moving from one track to the next is significant, and playback can stutter a lot.

Is there any way to fix this problem. Perhaps a registry tweak to increase WMPs priority on CPU resources? I know coreplayer has this option and it really helps improve performance, but then there is the backlight problem and lack of CHome plugins...

Any info would be great!

thank god its not just me, thats been happeining to me 5 or 6 builds back and no one ever reported it. well, had to stop using wmp in the end, nitrogen is quite good, give it a try

I don't necessarily disagree with this but he does release ROM's with M2D, so if he is gonna do it with M2D I would just like to see it with Ver 2 that's all. :angry:

Use the other theme under settings/home, also i want to say that the wallpaper is in landcape mode so there is a line on half of the screen, but i can't find the wallpaper to correct that...

I am having a few issues.

First is that recently the phone has started to feel very sluggish, and secondly it's sending out at least 2 texts. So if I send somebody a text they will receive it twice which will soon become very expensive.

Is the latest ROM better? Should I look at alternatives to 3-in-1? Would a different size PP help?

I dont no what sluggish means, but about 2 text messages, get favourite settings and enable the option ''message sent''. As far as i know since i called my network providers, none the less only one message gets charged, so it's a phone issue (at least they told me so, so it's more annoying for your friends than it is for u), but with that message sent notification, you get to know, when u can press X after u pressed send button, cause this is when the message actually proceeded and is going to the person you sent it to. If u interrupt this by pressing X and leaving the application, you get this kind of error or that only 2-3 words out of all come to the person you sent it to.

At least for that part, it's not ROM's fault, no new ROM will help u solve it. But otherwise, i suggest u to download the newest build 23034, change ''click'' to 4000 and ''updown'' to 50 in the registry, get TouchResponse_v0.3.2 and u have a great looking ROM with great speed and responsiveness, i don't need stylus and i only use fingernails when i type my messages.

Sluggish - it's just slow to respond, crashes a lot. That kind of stuff. For example I'll click something and it will think about it before actually doing it.

The phone never used to do it with 6.1 but I will try the latest build.

Should I use 3-in-1 again or is there a faster alternative?

Do you mean the start menu and ok/close buttons at the bottom? That's a feature of the newer builds (I believe around 23017 the ok/close button was moved down, while the start button was moved there as of 23031).

Yes those buttons, and I know that they are new in the newer 230xx builds, but arent they supposed to be inside a round button or something? The one on this rom is just plain text/image on a transparent background like the older versions, without the round buttons.

I prefer the one in Khuancai's rom much more, therefore im asking where can i get it or is it built-in in the newer builds?

Ah, I see. That's part of the "as-plain-as-possible-looking" PureBlack2 theme that's part of Khuanchai's ROM.

The round buttons are actually bitmaps that are part of the theme, they can look different on every theme. I believe that when the bitmaps are left out, one ends up with just plain text. Or so. I'm no expert on creating WM6.5 themes.
