OK guys...I need a little help here.

Firstly...i want to say thanks to Khuanchai, you do awesome work man! thank you for everything. You have made my omnia 100 times better than the way it was originally. Thanks to everyone else on this forum, loads of answers to questions that have been boggling my mind have from you guys. for that, i am eternally grateful.

So back to my question, Presently I am using master KC's UltraLite_21820 with 12MB pagepool ROM, yes i know is it an oldie, but is works and is extremely stable. Recently I installed successfully a number of different GPS softwares to try them out with my phone.

However, I couldnt get any to work. I took great care to try each out individually so there are no conflicting issues, however, all of them said: no gps data found? Any idea folks? I played alot with the COM settings but to no avail. I am sorry if this was covered elsewhere, but after hours of searching and my eyes now hurting, im begging for help.

oh...one quick question, from what ive read, the UL_IF1_23016-21928 6 MB pagepool ROM seems to be the best so far. do you guys agree to this. If so i may think of flashing to that in the future.

Cheers. :D

Windows Mobile 6.5 23041 Changes

The buttons on the bottom bar are now more ovalish than the roundish buttons, which were found in previous builds of Windows Mobile 6.5.

- Hardware buttons for volume and camera are now working.

- The status bar on the top has iPhone-like slide effect now. You will now have to slide it to get into the magnified status bar.

- More speedy and responsive.

- Numerous other bug fixes

Early indications are that the sms bug and general lag has been fixed from what I can see

Friends,

I'm sorry to say that my Omnia suddenly dies. I'll send it to service tomorrow. I won't be able to make any new ROM or bug-fixed version for a while. Don't know if it can be fixed and when I can get it back. :D

Khuanchai

Really bad news m8! Hope you get it back soon in great shape!

That will be great if KC gets his phone fixed soon. Then we can try 23041. I'm looking forward to it.

May be you can try FlexMail 4 ?

I use it for my mail accounts

btw it also can be used as default client for SMS

I am using v4.01, but probably you can try 4.1 and tell what do you think.

FlexMail 4 is a full-featured award-winning (2004/2005/2006/2007/2008) Email application that works with your device's built-in Messaging client to provide the best Exchange and IMAP connectivity available on Windows Mobile! Use FlexMail to improve your ActiveSync or SMS messaging with our multiple signature support, multiple folder searches, and cross-account email copies and moves. Use FlexMail to connect with the best IMAP feature-set on Windows Mobile with easy to configure yet powerful folder settings. Set each folder to download differently, notify of new messages, and get email using PUSH use IMAP IDLE.

FlexMail 4.1 is a major upgrade and offers many huge changes including:

* NEW SMS Conversation View

* NEW SMS sending via direct SMS API or MAPI (depending on your device one may work better than the other)

* NEW Option to hide folders in the folder tree

* NEW Phone/URL/email underlining for all messages

* NEW Option to show Wide HTML emails and switch between text/HTML right from the message view

* NEW Configurable font size in the Today plugin

* NEW Major internal structural changes to provide for better reliability and robustness.

Hmmm...Thats the same thing thats happening to me...so i cant use any GPS programs, I wonder if its something built into master KC's ROMS. If so, I hope it can be fixed. People using these ROMS....can you use your GPS, if so, what program are you using?

Any news on your broken I900?

Enjoy :)

Still waiting to hear from Samsung Service. :)

I am trying to build a new ROM based on the newest 23041 build. This is the UltraLite version with 6 MB pagepool. I have no device to test. Anyone wants to help? :)

Link removed because of error.

Please test for:

1. Does it boot normally?

2. Check the GUI.

3. Test the SMS/Mail function.

4. Test GPS function.

5. Test BT Voice dialing.

6. Anything else.

Please post screenshots for friends.

Thank you very much.
