short of doing a search :) ... a time bomb is what developers put into software to give a 'use by date' in other words at a certain date the program stops working... does not effect daily use... that is until it stops working :)

Thanks :)

I wonder till when is this time limit on the new Khuanchai Rom.

No I am not short of search but searching for words like time bomb can be dangerous.

Friends,

I am sorry to tell that the first testing ROM build 23409 posted yesterday has a time bomb. I forgot to remove it but can do that later. Please report any bug that I may miss and I will make another ROM without time bomb.

Sorry again for that. :)

Khuanchai

Oopps! Khuanchai,

Bad new. I found it the best rom with no major issue.

Can you please release new without TBomb so that we can have some testing fun over weekend.

Hi Khuanchai,

Glad to see that you got your phone back. I simply love your Rom's.

Only issues I have is:

Only one black skin

The keyboard you use is not like the new ones used by other Chefs

Clicking on the battery icon does not work

Your Rom is the only bluetooth fix that works with my car radio

Keep it up :)

I downloaded the new ROM last night and just finished flashing it. Sorry to hear that it's timebombed, but as long as a fixed version appears before the timebomb goes off, there should be no problem.

The Classic Blue skin's background image is still way too large, the yellow part is not visible at all in portrait mode. Also, switching skins still does not work right for me. The start menu and lock screen backgrounds are always wrong. It seems as if they're applied on the next skin change, so that I always end up having the previously selected skin's background, unless I soft-reset.

I noticed another thing which is slightly irritating. It seems that the pop-up window that appears when tapping on the battery indicator etc. only shows up when I'm on the Home screen. This behaviour is present on DDDRKO's 23041 ROM, too, so it may be a new "feature".

Apart from that, everything seems fine. Exchange ActiveSync works, which is important for me. WiFi works. Everything seems rather fast and looks better from version to version. Great work!

KC, when i execute "Clean Temp" or Garmin XT, there is a empty space in between the program and taskbar, it had been in prior build till 2303x till 23409, is this something to do with latest WM6.5.1 not support QVGA screen?

hi amahfouz,

I've had success with SD cards from digital cameras in the past, but haven't tried one from a winmo phone before. I ususally use GetDataBack from runtime.org, which has had good results even from accidental formats. There are also decent free recovery programs out there, like Recuva (www.recuva.com) make sure you read the documentation first (http://docs.piriform.com/recuva) and you may need to do a deep scan if the normal one doesnt work (http://docs.piriform.com/recuva/using-recuva/wizard-mode/the-deep-scan-option)

I can't confirm at this stage if it will work with a winmo file system, but it's worth a try... Let us know how u get on :)

Hi,

thi Rom is very good but I have a problem with GPS. I don't have a signal and when i try dwonload the file across Enhanced GPS system show me an error "XTRA data download Fail" nevertheless that I have a connection with internet.

Do you have this same problem? How to fix it?

Thx

Sebastian

Hi,

In this moment GPS works fine. I must put information to the registry for the XTRA:

\HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver

and

CurrentLogFile: \GPSID_log.txt

OldLogFile: \GPSID_log.bak

and soft reset. After this operation, XTRA is downloading file and map works fine.

Hi this is my first experience with the cusotm built rom, as I could no longer live without properly functioning bt audio . I installed it yesterday and everything seems to be working fine including Enhanced GPS. I would like to use Cyberon Voice commander instead of built in Cyberon voice dial. Is there a way to rerout bt headset action button to activate Cyberon VC? I can use Cyberon VC with my bt headset (samsung wep700) after pushing assigned button on the omnia. Thanks for the great job!

Upgraded from 23001 and have to say, I like the improvements for the latest build!

However, installed SPB Mobile Shell right away, since I'm can't get used to the Titanium layout, and am still waiting for a good port of the Manila2D v2...

Anyone using TouchResponse with this ROM btw? Does it improve responsitivity significantly here?
