Friends,

I have tried several new ROMs but so far not very impressed. Build 21857 has a classic WM 6.5 GUI but there is no significant improvement over the 21851. Build 23052 has new WM 6.5.1 GUI but still quite similar to the 23409. Although I have no problem with phone settings and GPS in the 23052 but I see no hurry to change our ROM to this build. I may wait to see an official ROM coming next month. Any idea?

My suggestions to those new users:

- most stable classical WM 6.1 ROM is build 21001

- most stable classical WM 6.5 ROM is build 21851

- most stable transition WM 6.5 ROM is hybrid 23028/23016

- most stable new WM 6.5.1 ROM is: none (probably you can try 23409)

+1

Hi Kuanchai,

Tx for all the work, my omnia works much better then the original 6.1! I am now changing from your 23001 rom to your new rom. I have one question: is M2D lite installed? and if not, do you know where to download the cab?

Hey thanks KC, was wondering how long it would take you, didn't think it would be this fast though.

One question, is there anyway you could cook in the teglic keyboard from DDDRKO's ROM.

I tried it out yesterday and it is the best soft keyboard I have used so far.

I think I am gonna go back to DDDRKO's ROM for now just for the KB. But I would def be back to yours if it had it.

Thanks again for the great ROM's mate :)

My plan is if you can easily install anything by a CAB, then I won't add it to the ROM. However, if it has to be in the ROM in order to work, then please provide me the link. Sorry having no time to search.

Whta you should do is add IM selection in the rom and anybody can choose the input method and it will keep settings even when you soft reset. Everybody have a favourite keyboard method and I don't think you should cook everything in the rom ( I use FingerKeyboard). But at least with IM selection I can set my prefered keyboard method

So far the touch responce and speed are very good. Its good that you are able to access the taskbar again.

I am having the following problems:

I use Rock and Republic theme and when you go to messaging the menu button DOES NOT EXIST. If you tap on it (next to the x button) the menu will pop up.

Second, for some reason wifi settings don't work. I connect to my wifi router but can't access the internet.

Feedback is welcome on that.

Great work Khuanchai

Is there a chance you can build an all black applications version (radio, calculator....)

thanx for your great work

Yeah that makes sense but so far nobody has made a cab for it.

Someone has asked DDDRKO to create a cab and he says he will if he gets time but atm it is cooked in his ROM.

Guess I will have to be patient :)

Wifi works fine.

Is there a way somebody can upload a black theme with the lower taskbar being as is with blue theme (as shown in the pictures from Khuanchai)

thanx

Will there be another M2D rom soon - or should i just use the latest and install it on that? (unless there will be a M2D one in the next few days ?)

Thanks again for all the work

I'm having this problem ever since i started using custom ROMs, it doesn't happen with every wifi, but with my home one, it does.

Please provide me the link. Also for those who request some programs. I will consider all requests but not guarantee to add all of them to the ROM.

Plug the cable in the pc and use the pc activesync to configure your internet connection... change on from "Auto" to "My Internet"

Installed the rom 23,053, is stable, fast, letters and icons are bigger, therefore easier to be used, and much more beautiful, I like more than 21001 (the letters and icons are small). Congratulations Khuanchai.

There's something called SIPChange from the first page and it does exactly the same thing. So IM Selection is not needed to be in the rom.

Fanks master Khuan for your cool ROM's. They are more stable and fast then ROM's of overs rombuilders (IMHO).

Find some bug in 23409 and 23053 too.

When I use standard winmo alarm: it is starting (when alarm time is reached) and play melody which is cheked in alarm settings and in same time is plaing melody of reminders (sounds&notification-reminders). When I switch off sound in alarm settings (sound-none), only the sound of reminders plaing while alarm starting (when alarm time is reached). How I can fix it? Some changes in registry?

I have been trying 21851 with BT-audio fix (6 September 2009) since last night. 21851 is definitely better than 23409, 23004, 23041, 23034 in terms of stability, speed, touch response and memory management. 21851 does not have new finger friendly big menu interface. You can not freely change the items in start menu but you can send any item to the top of menu.

...

I think this will be a reference ROM so that other ROMs will be compared to this one.

Friends,

I have tried several new ROMs but so far not very impressed. Build 21857 has a classic WM 6.5 GUI but there is no significant improvement over the 21851. Dear Khuanchai,

Thank you very much for your hard work again. This ROM seems much better than the ones I have tried.

I have been trying 23053 nearly for a day. For now, I can easily say that:

My new reference ROM is "Omnia ROM base DXIF1 build 23053 with BT-audio fix (6 September 2009)"

I think we can say:

- most stable new WM 6.5.1 ROM is: build 23053 (at least for now)

Dear Khuanchai,

Could you please also add your "suggestions to those new users list" to the first topic. If updated regularly, I think this list will be a great guide to everyone.

Regards

mmaster12:

i'm using 23053 and i don't have this alarm problem:

- when i choose a melody, only this latter is played

- if i set "none", it also comes on the alarm screen (with the green and red buttons), but no sound are played

Khuanchai:

your 23053 rom is great and fast! i think i will stick to yours

Good ROM. Only problem so far: can't replace the taskbar, since the zoomed icons are lost.
