Guest Khuanchai Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Dear Khuanchai, Thank you very much for your hard work again. This ROM seems much better than the ones I have tried. I have been trying 23053 nearly for a day. For now, I can easily say that: My new reference ROM is "Omnia ROM base DXIF1 build 23053 with BT-audio fix (6 September 2009)" I think we can say: - most stable new WM 6.5.1 ROM is: build 23053 (at least for now) Dear Khuanchai, Could you please also add your "suggestions to those new users list" to the first topic. If updated regularly, I think this list will be a great guide to everyone. Regards Thank you. Actually I have added a new section "Stable versions (suggested for new users):" at the top of the first topic: Stable versions (suggested for new users): - Classical WM 6.5 GUI: build 21851 - Transitional WM 6.5.1 GUI: hybrid builds 21928/23016 - New WM 6.5.1 GUI: Build 23053

Guest lonely2k5 Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Khuanchai great ROMs i have a question tho... well i tried about 100 roms till now... you ROMs are great but from my experience all roms with ID1 base are faster and more responsive than IF1 what are the differences between IF1 and ID1 ? i would really like to see your rom with ID1 base as i think it would be faster... maybe i'm wrong but from my tests it's this difference (i try it always hard resetted and blank to see the speed) just one more thing...great ROMs :)
Guest gentoo52 Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Hey guys! Yesterday I tried to flash my Omnia under Windows 7 with GrandPrix, and studpid as I am :), I tried again and again, even there were CRC errors several times. When I tried to flash it on another PC (i just then realized that my mothers's still has XP on it...), the phone immediately after switching on (doesn't matter whether plugged into the USB port or not) displays a symbol of a phone, a connection with a yellow warning sign, and a PC. Charging still works, but that's about the only thing. Did anything like that ever happen to any of you? Do you have any recommendations? Do I need to send it to Samsung? Thanks very much! gentoo :D
Guest lonely2k5 Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 no problem... you flashed it with rom without PHONE part...so phone part is missing...flash with phone part only or rom with phone part... all roms here are without phone part you didn't bricked your phone so calm down now :)
Guest gentoo52 Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 THANK! You! You just saved me days of waiting for Samsung Supports answer :D I will try that now! I can only say, I LOVE the support here! no problem... you flashed it with rom without PHONE part...so phone part is missing...flash with phone part only or rom with phone part... all roms here are without phone part you didn't bricked your phone so calm down now :)
Guest gentoo52 Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 ahm, yeah.. sorry.. i forgot to say: the problem is, that the PC doesn't recognize the Omnia anymore. It detects an "unknown device" and if I point to the correct drivers folder, it says it doesn't is the right driver... any ideas? THANK! You! You just saved me days of waiting for Samsung Supports answer :) I will try that now! I can only say, I LOVE the support here!
Guest PayAndCry Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 (edited) Do I need a csc file to flash? €: Okay don´t need one. €2: where can I get the big Icons again in the honeycomb? Edited September 21, 2009 by PayAndCry
Guest stradigm Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 With 23053 the applications are closed automatically after some time. I have installed Showcase to fix the screen issues with the new GUI in some programs. Does anyone have an experience with this issue?
Guest ChongHian Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Update: Omnia ROM base DXIF1 build 23053 with BT-audio fix (20 September 2009) I decided to distribute this new build because it has quite a few changes that worth to try. ROM spec: - WM 6.5 build 23053 - Omnia OEM DXIF1 - UltraLite ROM Note: PureBlack2 theme doesn't completely work. Please select Classic Blue theme (or any theme you installed) and soft reset to get full effects. Screenshots: Download here. Enjoy the beautiful Sunday! Bless any kind souls to add some mirror links to Master KC's 23053. Thanks!
Guest plguzman Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Windows Live Messenger new message alert doesn't work when the phone is in standby. :)
Guest bryanyap2008 Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Hey guys im new here. Was wondering if its possible if u post the most stable build for windows mobile 6.5 on another file hosting site. Im having problems with rapidshare. Tried to download a file for hours but it still failed to work. Im still new to the whole process of upgrading to 6.5. Sorry for any trouble caused. Thanks. The ROMs here have the time bombs removed right? Cuz i downloaded an old version on bitorrent and installed it but it did not work once i set the date, it said that the beta was over. Would appreciate any advice given. Oh yeah, the ROMs here are the only things i need to flash right? Heard from other threads that some ppl have problems cuz they did not install the phone part or smth like that.
Guest mtsouk Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 is there a black theme that works with this rom the way the classic blue does? (round buttons etc....) thanx
Guest RoSoMaK Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Can someone give this rom on another server than the Rapid? downloading this file from my 3h Thx
Guest tolgapaksoy Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Just flashed to 23053, and it's very nice. Stable, didn't have any problems with it. The only thing that bugs me is the 'lock-button' at start menu. It's the exact same icon as the start button itself. Why doesn't it say "Lock" or something?
