[ROM] Omnia WM 6.5.1 ROM base DXIF1 build 23081 with BT-audio fix (1 November 2009)

Sorry I checked and there is no easy way to edit registry for omniawidget. I think it was hard-coded to use SS applications. However, there are ways if you really want.

1. Install Tclock CAB to use world clock.

2. Install smplayer CAB to use smplayer

Adding more widgets cannot currently be done except a new ROM flash. This new ROM (with original IA5 omniawidget) will certainly have much less free storage memory, I expect almost 40 MB less. So you have to choose a complete solution with less free storage memory or use Titanium or M2D widgets instead. Note that although I have removed some omniawidgets, there is still some redundancy existed.

ic chief...no worries.. titanium is better than touchwiz, i hope samsung should improve their touchwiz... since CHome configurator is built up.. i can customize my panels much better than touchwiz.. well just need to tweak some registry in order to do that but its okay.. anyway.. it's all about customization..

sorry off topic:

i've noticed that winmo development (rom cooking) is so close to opensource like Linux (correct me if im wrong).. since you guys can cooked roms and maybe someday that newbies like us will have a possibility to customized winmo based on the configurator like titanium cuztomizer, chome configurator for example.. No need to edit registry as this is hard using finger nails or stylus.

Good news! I found the way to solve this problem. However, can't be done by a CAB but needs a new ROM flash. So I'll wait for a new ROM build coming out. B)

Hi Khuanachai,

Please help me sort out these problems, or at least point me in the direction of someone who can, i have posted this twice since the release of this ROM and have been ignored B) This is such a great ROM, I would hate to have to take steps back just becuase i cant use the internet.

I have tried installing opera 9.5 beta, and i still cant type into it. I can type into Skyfire, but atm its still too buggy for my liking compared to Opera.

I am using the Samsing phonepad fro the cab on the first post.

Please assist me !

Couple of quick things,

Just updated to your new ROM, went to change my 'buttons' settings and i could find task manager or task switcher, how do i get these back?

Also, when i load opera, i cant type anything into the pages using the samsung inputs. I can enter addresses into opera and into its search bar, but not into google/facebook etc. How do i fix that?

Last thing, on your last ROM there was the samsung sound changer, this is also gone, back to windows default, can i get it back?

Other than that, this ROM runs much faster on my omnia, the menus and touchflo scroll smoothly, which is great!

only main issue i have is no sound at time with incoming calls / emails

unknown caller < but we know about this

Just for info i flashed 6.5 onto my kaiser last night and there was no caller id ssues with incoming calls and locked screen ? so should we think that this ai just an issue with the porting ?

ah thanks, but i use the phonepad, this is my first winmo device and so im used to typing on a phonepad. Its just much faster for me!

Tu es bien d'accord, il y a un probleme sur le site sfr, mais je ne sais pas si ca vient de la ROM.

Je pense que sa vient de la Rom car j'ai mit une Rom en Anglais avec WM6.5

là le site sfr s'affiche correctement et en plus tu peux voir les videos en passant pas Windows Media player.

mais je voudrai que ça fonctionne avec cette Rom (Omnia 4-in-1/3-in-1 (M2D plus) build 21198/21202/21028 with BT-audio fix) elle est vraiment bien faite.

can u give instructions to change the SET key back to same as 21198 where it opens the comm manager etc as the SET linked to alarm is already done by the time on today screen

Thank you for your work! Installed 21198 lite ROM, it detects my Israel Orange sim card, and downloaded settings for gprs and wap! I flashed a many many roms before, and it's first time I see an Israel settings included.

This ROM have a hebrew support inside! I can read and write hebrew, but with one big problem, hebrew is left-to-right =( it can be fixed?

P.S. Never seen these features in the custom roms! Thanks!!

thanks to frizprezz's guide on how to customiz Titanium today........ however, i've found a way to do that(from other forum)without installing the buggy weather panel.

here is how........ a bit long, but works perfect on my phone. (21198 3 in 1)

1. install CHome Config Cab

2. open up a registry editor(i use SKTool)

3. fowllow the screen shots below:

4. u'll notice that in the screenshots, there r 3 different XML registries. they r the things u need to edit, all u need to do is just add CLinks at same spot in all 3 strings. for example, i added CLink just b4 the CClock, dont forget add " ; " to seperate each names. then softreset........now step one is finished.

5. disable the Titanium today, open up CHome Config from ur device, find CLinks and tap show on the bottom right soft key, then highlight it from the list, then menu>panel>customize. then menu>page>new>click yes>menu again>template>application launcher>select whatever program u want to add>ok, u can add as much as u want, i added 14 of them. when u finished, tap done, then exit, it'll ask u to save the change, at this point u dont have to reset ur phone. check ur titanium today and play with it. let me know if u have any further Qs.

Edit: the pic r bit out of order, sorry about that. but i think u guys will figure it out if u tweak ur phoe a lot in the past :(

im sorry im kinda new (with the omnia anyway... was absent 2 years using symbian)... but what explains the unknown caller issue??

EDIT: just read

13. Unknown Caller ID bug: There is a bug when you lock the screen and press power off button. It will show unknown caller ID on incoming call. If you really need to see correct caller ID on lockscreen, you have to set your phone to "Lock on waken up". (Settings>Personal>Buttons>Wake up). Press power off or leave your phone to sleep by itself and you will get correct caller ID on incoming calls. Do not lock the screen before power off.

plus, sometimes i can't seem to answer the phone, it just locks itself when the caller screen comes up... with the sliders for answering or hanging up

ANyone noticed the battery seems to drain very quickly with this rom? I flashed from taril's to this one this morning and already, after just a few calls, no browsing (as i can't get o2 gprs working on this one yet :excl: ) i've lost 60% already

i think you need to do a hard reset or reflash the ROM

To change Left softkey:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CHome]

"SK1URL"=":MSCONTACTS"

"SK1TEXT"="Contacts"

change to what you want.

To change Right softkey for each Panel:

This is the example for Clock panel.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CHome\CClock]

"SK2URL"=":MSCLOCK;AppRunToHandleNotification"

"SK2TEXT"="Set"

Please be careful when you edit the registry. It can make error if you misspell or put wrong name.

same behavior here... sometimes 1 out of 5 maybe? no sound in calls
