Maybe the next 4-in-1 version Khuanchai will include the latest widget and latest phone part IB2.

ANyone noticed the battery seems to drain very quickly with this rom? I flashed from taril's to this one this morning and already, after just a few calls, no browsing (as i can't get o2 gprs working on this one yet :excl: ) i've lost 60% already

on taril's i'd get about 2 days out of 60%

?

me and my friend using this rom do have the battery drain issue.

battery drain very fast. as both of us like this rom and want to keep using it. the only temporary solution for us is to disable HSDPA at the moment. Start->Settings->HSDPA->disable it

this make us stay using 3G instead of 3.5G but the battery life is longer a lot.

hope anyone can give us the best solution.

cheers.

There is another rumour that Microsoft will release a new version in between WM6.5 and WM7 that includes FOTA (firmware Over The Air) trials

New Windows Mobile operating system rumoured

James Ridler

Published on Apr 8, 2009

Rumours suggest that Microsoft will release a Windows Mobile update before Windows 7 is launched

A website has gained information regarding a Windows Mobile firmware update between version 6.5 and 7.

Softpedia has reported that there will be an interim update between 6.5 and 7, although it's not clear whether the firmware will be a complete reworking of the system, or additional service packs to patch bugs in the firmware.

The ability to send out extra updates like the rumoured 6.x update is one facilitated by the success of Firmware Over the Air trials. Microsoft is now confident that it can get updates to customers faster than PC-based updating processes.

The new Windows 6.5 OS is due to be released in the third quarter of this year, and is billed as being an useful update to the currently existing 6.1 OS.

Maybe this is what sector has mentioned or maybe not but the new build is out

version 21500 is out! expect update soon

To change Left softkey:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CHome]

"SK1URL"=":MSCONTACTS"

"SK1TEXT"="Contacts"

change to what you want.

To change Right softkey for each Panel:

This is the example for Clock panel.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CHome\CClock]

"SK2URL"=":MSCLOCK;AppRunToHandleNotification"

"SK2TEXT"="Set"

Please be careful when you edit the registry. It can make error if you misspell or put wrong name.

Khuanchai you are great!!!!... new to playing with settings so thanks... found & changed SET to Comms... looked BUT did not see a dedicated string pointing to CommManger ... in "SK2URL"= ": what comand line do i insert here so the Right Softkey maps to either CommManager or the one in 21198

Any great improvements on 21202 that you could mention... like worth flashing from 21202? as 21202 besides the flaky email/text voice notification works well

hi Khuanchai, is it ok to make the Left Menu of the Settings tab of M2D to point to Start->Settings instead on Start->Settings->Connections?

also, i would like to know how to make the "Communication" button of the settings page to launch windows buildin wireless manager rather than the HTC Communication manager?

cheers,

Original task manager and task switcher were removed so you won't see them there. However, the build-in HTC task manager is a mixture of both programs. You just tap the square icon at the right upper corner and you will see task manager.

I haven't tested all functions and need all of you to help. :excl:

However, my initial impression is quite fast and stable. No time-bomb. Importantly, the 4-in-1 version will come with a full-function TouchWiz.

I'm thinking that Titanium may have some conflicts with M2D since this bug occurs particularly with M2D. It's more reliable on Titanium and Omniawidget. Friends said that it doesn't happen with kaiser non-M2D ROM.

It's hard-coded so cannot make changes.
