OUCH!

Just installed this new ROM ...

And after setting it up ... putting in stuff ... I change theme ... and it hangs when I enter the peoples tab ...

Tryed to reset, remove batteri .... but end up in the peoples tab ... hung ... Have to hard reset to get the device working ...

I have tried two differnt themes (and original) ... and only original works ... the others hang ... wierd ???

Can it be that I have pictures taken with the camera in the peoples tab ... and something messes up ?

I am not on m2d at the moment but never had that problem.

the choice to do a hard reset is yours.

but maby its the way to go.

you can always ask around in similar threads.

i am gonna see if there is a solution also so if i find 1 i will let you know :lol:

I havent done anything like that (i wish i could :lol: ).

Everything works fine here...i am using the M2D verison. File explorer or anything else hasnt crashed on me.

After I reflashed, the problem seemed to appear again, so I debugged this issue a bit more.

Apparently now I realized it's due to some software I installed (WKTASK v1.2.0.2). I used this application before on a previous WM 6.5 ROM, and that worked just fine.

Because I love the WKTASK functionality (easy application-switching in the taskbar, gesture-based launcher), I'll be experimenting some more with this problem. :D

Also, regarding the automatic unload of applications: in the Advanced Config tool I found the option HTC Task Manager-->'Auto Kill'. This is enabled by default and is described as "Defines whether HTC Task Manager will automatically close applications to free up memory". I'm not sure whether this option is/can be used by the Omnia, but disabling this didn't seem to fix the issue.

I've also found out wktask was giving me problems! The start menu would stop to open, and sometimes wktask worked wierdly...

I guess there needs to be a 6.5 upgrade to it.

If you find any replacement software please share! I currently use LVMTopbat for now for battery monitoring.

I will not be releaseing any more ROMs for a long while, probably ever....??? I really dont have the time these days, i will not be disappearing though. I will still be active around here and everywhere, so i wont be gone. But no more ROMs.

Of course i will make my own ROMs, so i can keep upto date :(.

I will update all my threads, so you all know the situation. I still need to update WM6.1 with ID1, so that will happen (when i can).

Its been good and worth it, :D i have learnt a lot and can take it further when i get a new phone (HTC). Thanks to all you guys who made it worth it.

If anyone really needs a ROM from me...PM me for a personalised ROM (donation based ofc :D), but i doubt it :lol:

Will be back tomorrow to update the threads....:D

21231 is nice, but uses a lot of memory :D, thanks sector :lol: for gifts :D

By browsing the forum (I know if this is the appropriate term!) I realized that many people wanted to have an automatic installation program files. Cab.

It is true that force Flash to test the new ROM's our Cuistos, it had to do something to facilitate the resettlement of configs!

So I looked at the topic! And I created this : (There are already applications of this kind, but some are difficult to use)

You can use the 'silent', ie without directly viewing the installation, so no confirmation ! If you do not select silent mode you will see the programs install one after the other but by checking on 'ok' for each product.

To use: '

After the launch, appointments on the Settings tab.

Then click on 'Scan all files'.

Select the parent folder of your cab.

The list of subfolders appears.

Simply click the Search's cab.

You can move items with a long click on it.

Create your own list of items by removing and saving the list.

Choice to install in silent mode or normal for each package.

Multiwindow deletion when you make a list.

Compatibility landscape mode (WVGA, VGA)

Adding logs in advanced mode, log files tracks, available directly purgeables.

Adding a progress bar when the search for cabs is enabled.

Disabling suspend (Features not good) and the decrease in brightness (backlight) in battery mode.

Support languages English french

Possibility to add packages to another list.

I running 21231, M2D & Titanium, memory is not good, but sector has same issue. 21231 takes up more space. Cant really remove much more.

Using like 40mb from 120mb, leaving 80mb free. Still ok, but prefer more free.

I have one question...

@ i900DXID1 - 21215 m2d ROM

1. when i take photos, file names are: SNC0xxx.jpg

2. omnia randomly (seems so) makes and changes photo folders: 10xSSCAM

3. @ "Photos and Videos" album now and then looses path to favorite folder, and for this reason shows no (last/preview) pictures...

The question is:

How can i change filenames for pictures, e.g. date&time stamp, and have them stored in just one folder - e.g. 100SSCAM ?

M2DC hanged and i reseted the phone.

Now it won't launch touch flo.

In M2DC i didn't change anything...

In windows startup folder i didn't find anything lookalike for starting touchflo

any ideas, before i completely reinstall phone (rom, appz, customization...require a lot of time) ?

Well hard reset (*2767*3855#) maybe spares few minutes of flashing, but erases everything else...

So I need to reinstall all appz , garmin, cracking, copying files, restoring from backup some data, making customization, etc...

Though everithing else is lost I decidet to fresh flash it again, those 10 minutes are minor matter in comparison of all listed above...

Or am I stupid or what :)

I dont use activesync to install my apps

All my progs are on my SPA storage card (I always download the latest cab, release and new good prgs)

I use only CAB files and wit active sync ya need .exe or SetupCE.exe to install a cab

sometimes after flash I dont need same apps (new version, no more utility,etc...)

And THE LAST REASON, ACTIVESYNC let some keys in registery wit some WM apps and I hate that

So I prefer keep my apps on me (if I need to make a hard reset for exemple or if I install new rom from another PC than mine)

This is the first time I've flashed a cooked rom, used the latest build 6.5 with M2D & Titanium, flashed it yesterday no problems at all, I feel like I have a new phone and just as you say this could be the end of your roms.

Just to say a BIG THANK YOU, for all the obvious hard work you've put in on these roms, it's a shame samsung can't make their phone work as good.
