Nothing I tried got hebrew working in opera like in 21215... (I'm now on the 21815). Any ideas? Thanks! --summoner
Guest meabigbaldguy Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 Taril is back you know, not cooking, but helping out around here and there... Good to hear you loving the ROM! It seems that "the master" is back, my friend, and still cooking. Another member has apparently found a link in another forum with an IDI update. Now the masses are herding again.

Guest stevke Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 Hi, I want to try this ROM on my Omnia. Last time I tried a non-AU (Mobilkom Austria) ROM I was not able to connect to the internet afterwards. Do you think this was a problem with the ROM I tried or is this a general problem? Are there some guys from Austria which are using this ROM with A1 (Mobilkom Austria)? TIA regards, Stefan

I use Tmobile in Germany and any custom ROM that I've tried has always automatically detected my network settings from my SIM card. It should work for you but you may have to go and manually set your connection settings in the ROM.

I give ya m2d for da mom M2D : 1 2 3 4 Hi All, Thanks for all the support! My report so far: 1. 21215v7 was the best wm6.5 rom I had - Only 1 bug I found (the name of the bluetooth headset profile is messed up :D. 2. In 21820 I had some usability bugs! 2.1 Opera displayed hebrew backwards 2.2 Titanium today screen is slow 2.3 M2D closes and reopens causing apps to close (maybe memory issue) 2.4 scrolling of display is slow in general 2.5 I saw higher battery usage 2.6 I had problems answering a call with the hardware buttons (device ignores the ANSWER button) 2.7 CMultihome plugin didn't work as expected. For now I'm back on 21215 (Got it from shokka's mediafire dir). I recommend this rom very much! --summoner
Guest dark_spice Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 (edited) Great ROM! I just installed this. Can someone HELP me how to adjust weather settings? I want it to display weather from Manila, Philippines. Plus I can't use Wifi connection. Was able to connect but can't browse. Any help would do! Thanks! Edited June 29, 2009 by dark_spice
Guest meabigbaldguy Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Thank you for your response. Is it possible to backup the connections, to restore them easily? The best thing to do is back up the entire phone. I personally use Sprite Backup... which would allow you to create an backup file of all files, programs, settings, registry settings. Should something bad happen you simply need to flash the back up image and it will restore your phone to that particular state. The only thing that you may need to do is check over your Active Sync partnership because it may double it sometimes. It's a really good program and I use it when I change to a new ROM - yes it works quite good for this as well.
Guest shokka9 Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 hope you guys are ok.... Been busy this weekend with my kids, life and love!! :D All good. Good works Masta92 and friends ;) Thanks
Guest meabigbaldguy Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Hey Shokka! Spent some time with my wife and son as well, but managed to squeeze a few posts in here and there. A couple of things... Earlier, I told you that the music player in M2D was only playing a bit of the song before it would crap out. The funny thing is that it did this for about three days, and then it suddenly started working. :D I did absolutely nothing to change anything on that, but it's good anyway! ;) Also, perhaps you can provide some insight on this small theme issue that I'm having. I've read other posts and topics on loading up new M2D themes, and that has gone well. However, after loading up the new theme, and re-launching TouchFlow, the bottom half of the screen is black. Above the black space, everything looks normal - widgets, calendar, clock, etc. When I revert back to the default theme, everything goes back to full screen. I've tried this with a theme from MobileMatt and Knobibrot - both give the same result. It almost seems like the landscape mode view is what loads onto the portrait mode view. Any ideas?
Guest shokka9 Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 try a theme from the M2D theme thread here in ROM Discussion....started by sector. Are they defo i900/Omnia themes? also, M2D does not work in landscape. If you are trying to use in landscape it will never work properly. We now have Camera Album working in landscape, but M2D, not yet. Hope that helps.
Guest StierOle Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Hallo @Shokka9, dont know if you are interested in Manila V3.1 Omnia its unfortunately only for spanish ROMS but perhaps you can make it work for us. ??? The two that I've tried were at least listed as omnia themes, but you never know. I'm not trying to use M2D in landscape, but I was using the example to describe what my issue looks like, because in landscape, there is that black void on the right hand side of the screen.
Guest shokka9 Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 coolio. They should work...the one in the thread i mentioned all work on Omnia.
Guest dark_spice Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 (edited) Guys, I need some inputs. What's the best SMS and Alarm apps to go with this great ROM, specifically on TITANIUM? Thanks! Edited June 30, 2009 by dark_spice
Guest Menifestozz Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 Perhaps I can answer... 1. Samsung Dialer... though I'm not 100% sure on this one. Some one else sure? 2. Samsung Clock... I'm absolutely positive because I'm doing this exact same thing. I prefer the Samsung alarm and it works well on this. From his kitchen, I used CABs from IA5 and IDI. Thanks. I have download the samsung clock from shokka9 kitchen. Cabs from ID1 firmware Samsung Clock - http://www.mediafire.com/?g5w4ykzlvm4 How about the the original samsung contacts where by I can select view "All/phone/sim" contacts.??? Thanks for the reply.
Guest Unisoldrew Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 Hi. Wondered if anyone could help. I've also installed the orignal Samsung clock and the dialer - however neither seem to be used as default (even after a soft reset) Does anyone know how to make this happen? Thanks.

Yesterday, I finally got around to loading up an M2D theme from Sector's Themes thread; however, none of the files there were .m2dct. At least none of the ones that I've selected to download. Instead they unzipped to folders containing many files. Are you able to tell me where and how to go about installing these files so that I can apply the themes?

This should help you with the dialer, but I'm not sure about the clock. I'm only using the Samsung clock because prefer its alarm over the Windows alarm.Samsung_Dialer_Enabler.cab

You need to open M2DC, go to add theme, navigate to the zip file then click add. The theme should appear in the list. Then click apply, and voila, the theme should be there... Good luck
