Hi folk, maybe will repeat the question asked before and sorry if for my spam here. But ho to make 3G cals I mean video call. When I try it like select some contact and try to videocall, this button for it is like watermarked and useless.

you need to enable the original dialer (and loose 10mb of RAM in the process). Using a regeditor goto:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin, "Enabled"=dword:0, you should change to 1 and reboot...

Well, my 3G works fine, try the operator trick....sometimes it happens and you need to just reset the operator again.

There are NO issues with SHKv20 Connectivity!!

Because the Samsung Dialpad was disabled in this ROM, so the WM Dialpad becomes your default Dialpad, which does not support Video Call.

I don't think we need to trouble the chef all the time.

Firstly Old WinMo dialer save 6mb of RAM....thats 6 mb!!!

Also to get video calls, you have to be getting 3G signal, or the video call button will always be greyed..

I have SHKV18 rom installed on my omnia i900 with i900XXHJ1 phone version.

Is port splitter still needed with Shokka's roms when using TomTom GPS?

If so is this always going to be an issue due to the architecture of the hardware on the i900?

Just flash to SHKv6 or v7. After that, flash to this SHKv20 will do.

If you don't mind keeping your old Phone part, then just flash directly with this SHKv20.

i900XXHJ2...which country are you in? Not sure if DXID1 phone will work in your country.

Your Phone part is XXHJ2 which is old, but to be honest, it isnt hugely important!!

Flash to SHKv20 and dont worry bout the phone part. If you can receive calls etc and your phones reception (signal) is good then it will be fine.

However, it is recommended to update the phone part, as you will get better battery performance also. :D

There is a thread here with the DXID1 phone part, look for it, download it. Then look for a guide so you can dissassemble then reassemble my ROM with the phone part....

I have read the guide, downloaded all required files and installed Mercurial-1.1.1. After that i followed all steps mentioned in the guide but it seems it isnt making an omnia-eng folder.

I tought if i get this program running i could open the i900DXID1_SHKv20_M2D.exe then edit the file by putting in DXID1_phone.bin. After that make it an .exe again and voila. But like i stated above i cant get the program running, tried windows vista and xp but i get the same result.

Now i dont know if this is the right procedure, maybe i am way off? lol :D

Shokka9, you also said you maybe could do it for me? or show me the procedure? If u have time for it offcourse... or else i am force to bribe u with cookies and beer ;) :angry:

allright now you dragged me into this, i realised i also have te XXHJ2 old phone part ;) btw Unicombo you should get the omnia-eng folder from the website mentioned in that post as the download from that program doesn't work anymore ;)

u need:

1. Phone part

2. ROM without phone part

3. Pako i900_EXE tool from his thread here :angry:

Download pako's tool.

extract any rars, so you have phone.bin & i900IDDX1_SHKV20.exe

Open pako tool

1. Dissassemble my ROM, choose Dissassemble ROM tab, locate .exe file and run it.

2. For ease, copy phone.bin to folder where the dissassembled parts were...

3. Assemble ROM with pako tool, goto assemeble EXE tab; locate all the parts....

hi, please note that Anycoll i908e is not from Samsung. It's China banded phone designed to look like Omnia i900. Therefore, you will not be able to use any of the ROM here.

really? why wouldnt this new ROM work on this cell?

any risk in trying?

hi friend u can using pako i900 EXE tool Disassemble build rom exe and Phone exe .download ( Grandprix_1.6.4_XP )and open .select csc_pda_eboot_phone.bin .power off phone connect cable and then power on your phone .run it.... ;) sorry my bad english ...hope you understand

I have been using your rom's Shokka for a while now and I do like em very much and lately I flashed my i900 with your latest rom 23034 and it's really cool and fast but what really bugs me the big black green progress bar and I wonder how can I get back to the old progress bar from your earlier version Shokka v17 also I want to ask you a question on how I can get to know my phone part after flashing because it got erased due to my attempts to flash my i900 many times with different roms and I can't remember what it was so is there any way to figure it out?

Thanks for this your new rom again Shokka....i am using v20 and i like it a lot!

I only have one problem.....when i hold the side button to see which applications are running.....i get this message "Error opening upthe shortcut or locating the target filename"

Is there anyway for this newbe to sort this out?

as for me...before this i have JVHK1..phn part.. :angry: correct me if its wrongly typed again...then i flashed to official DXIA5...from the thread "incorrect sofware version..easy solution"...somewhere..cant remember...then i've become a flash addict... ;)

to make my story short...

i've flashed my phn part to DXID1...using master's Khuanchai Phone Part only...in his thread...have a look over there...thn flash away to this awesome master shokka's Rom...

hi, please note that Anycoll i908e is not from Samsung. It's China banded phone designed to look like Omnia i900. Therefore, you will not be able to use any of the ROM here.

based on what information that u r telling ppl that Anycall I908E is NOT from Samsung? im hopping u do the research b4 u post anything like that. Anycall I908E IS from Samsung, its just different names in different markets.......plz don not mislead ppl here with wrong info.

try the top right corner where is the last minute digit: if it´s 12:00, press the last "0" and you'll see the task manager, when you want to close it, tap at the opposite side: left corner, in the taskbar and the task manager will disappear. Now that you know about the 'invisible' task manager, practice and you'll feel like David Copperfield :D
