*** ShokkA9 WM6.5 G-ROMs *** THE END ***

I hope you guys can help me. A few days ago I decided to flash my omnia to shokka's v21 rom, without any problems. I loved it, but I wanted to go back to my old official samsung ROM (Dutch) XKHJ3. I downloaded the official dutch ROM XKHJ3 again and tried to flash it back.

When the download was finished, I started the XP ROM upgrade with samsung modem driver and active sync. The first time its said: Incorrect software version. So I changed the version with a registry editor and the updater with HxD. Finally he said: Press ok to reset. I was very pleased, but when my phone restarted the only thing I could see was the samsung logo. Nothing happend. With a soft reset wm6.5 came alive luckely :)

After a few times, I found a clean DXIA5 ROM without the region checker. I was hoping to flash the original ROM XKHJ3/XKHJ3 from DXIA5. But again it failed, even when I changed the registry and updater.

What I've tried:

1. I900 registry -> from DXIA5 to XKHH4 (an older dutch ROM).

The Updater -> Defailt XKHJ3

2. I900 registry -> DXIA2

The updater -> I900DX

3. I900 Registry -> XKHH1 (also an older dutch ROM)

The Updater -> Defailt XKHJ3

I even changed the region to singapore and philipines. Its driving me nuts! Can someone tell me how I can flash my phone back with XKHJ3 Original?? Is there maybe a XKHJ3 version without the region code?

I hope the story is clear enought, because my english isn't that well. Thx in advanced!

1 ) Remove your SIM & Memory cards from your device.

2 ) Hard-Reset your device.

3 ) Install only your registry editor.

4 ) Edit your registry to XKHH4 (the first older Dutch ROM).

5 ) Soft-Reset your device.

6 ) Flash to XKHJ3 as normal.

Please post your result.

I'm a noob, I don't know how to make a cab. I only know how to take cab. :)

Firstly, thanx Shokka9 for what can be best described as a "work of art". I've jumped on board you WM6.5 roms since about v16 (I think that was the last "last rom" you were going to make :)), but this one has a real finished feel. Even simple little things like how the radio buttons are pixelated. I'm also yet to have a Titanium plugin that didn't work (had a few in v20). Vice nice bro, my hat's off to you.

Two little things, though. When I composed an email, there is no "send" button, and no send function in the menu. I found an odd work around, by saving it to "Drafts" and then moving it to the "Outbox", but that is less than ideal. Also (at the risk of sounding anal) the robot in the slider on Smart Lock, is a nice touch, but it would have been better if it carried through when it actually sides. If you can let me know the location of the slider image, I'll knock up a quick fix, for myself personally, and share it with you guys.

Again, thanx for all your tireless effort with your roms. I hope your enjoying some of teh reclaimed time you've got now (and I hope your family is gratefull for the loss we have all endured :)).

I tried again with your advice above, but I still get an Incorrect Version. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong?

OK i have to go away...and 4 now i post only the registry Key modify by me to make ur TaskBar invisible...i remember to u that u make backup of old registry key because u cant go down one time u copy this file...u have to do all whit an regitry editor and u have to import this key in....HKCU\Software\HTC....and this file modify only 2 value...LauncherDown and LauncherUp...but if u dont know what do u do ......dont do....eehhehe

Good question. After some research on the internet I found two possible combo's. I thought I had something like this:

PDA: XKHH4/XKHH4

Phone: XXHH9

Shokka, I really like this ROM design .. so i wanna back it up for future update.. can you tell me (a link/cab maybe..?) what theme are you using for the titanium ? and other things if possible..

I want to thank you Shokka for this ROM. it is awesome. i have been using it for almost a week now. it is stable, fast and the touch response is great.I have sorted out all of my little issues, all caused by me not knowing how to configure it properly. I have worked it out and set the phone up how i like it :):D

I now prefer using my omnia over an iphone. It is amazing how much difference WM6.5 makes!!

thanks mate, quite annoyed i never backed it up before lol, prefer the tabs/buttons on that one but the white BG of the clock digits on the original HTC look so going to have a mess with them

I almost thought I bricked my phone with this methode. But with a soft reset wm6.1 came back alive, because Grand prix stopped and my phone suddenly showed a black screen :S. But I was able to flash the dutch ROM XKHJ3 on my phone from another forum the guy gave. I really recommend this trick to everybody who has problems flashing his (or her :)) phone back!

can someone help me. i cant work out how to get the colour start button logo to work with my phone. im using the WM7 black theme, with the touchflow "item" instead of windows default. I have attached a screenshot of my phone.

i tried copying/pasting the image files like Shokka said in a previous post, but it didnt work.

Also, when i go to advanced configuration to edit the touchflow panel (to remove unused buttons or change the date format) it comes up with "an error occured while loading TouchFLOW 3D configuration". it then brings me to the edit screen, but after the soft reset, nothing has changed. please keep in mind i havnt actually installed a full version of touchflow, i am just using what is included in this ROM.
