THANKS A LOT Hi crosis001, Yes you can upgrade to DXAI5. If your using Windows XP it's piece a cake to upgrade, incase you want to upgrade using Vista then you'll have to go thru couple of steps. I've upgraded my Omnia from DDHH3 to DXIA5 using Vista and also have upgrade from Win 6.1 to Win 6.5 with Custom ROM and all thanks and appreciation goes out to people @ MODACO and especially to Khuanchai, QBUS and Sector and jigsaw and niteshkumar over @ samsung-omnia.org and also Samsung for this amazing cellphone. I can assist you if u'd like.
Guest mnegutu Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 I've upgraded my i900 from the Vodafone ROM (which i hated, too much branding and too slow) and flashed it with DXIA5. Used granprix under vista ultimate, but managed to brick it the first time so it would hang on the omnia logo screen, but eventually i managed to fix it. I recommend XP, it's a snap to do it with the samsung official software. And about the headset: mine's the same. It rings through the loudspeaker as well as through the headset but i think that's pretty much standard on lots of phones (in my experience: Sony Ericsson, Nokia N series phones, and i think my HTC Elf also).
