Guest Koofteh Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 Hi dddrko, Many thanks for a great 21851, all my third party progs are working well and practically no bugs. I look forward to 23045 although I suspect that with the inclusion of the new GUI eg. bottom soft keys and new top bar without the 'OK' button it will render a lot of third party progs uninstallable. At least that has been my experience with previous releases, but I can't wait to test. Please keep up the good work dddrko I really like your ROMs, Thanks again. :) What's 21851 like? Any new changes since 23017 or even 23009?
Guest 2001 Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 What's 21851 like? Any new changes since 23017 or even 23009? I find 21851 to be very fast, stable and compatible with all my 6.1 third party programs. It has not got the soft keys at the bottom of the screen. It is also very customisable with things like Krazy gradd's bar and JML Today etc. :)

Because someone said that build only has 'classic menus and classic skins' so I don't want to flash from 23017 to find out this one has less new stuff - a screenshot of the home screen really would be very useful DDRKO, since you provide so many good ROMs and they're all clean it's a bit confusing. I'm really curious to where 21851 came from... is it the next one up from 23017 or just an older but more stable build? Sorry that I keep repeating my question but I'm really at a loss as to where this new build came from and what it contains over 23009 and 23017 which seem like the last common builds of WM6.5 with the classic/old interface.

Hi pal, The build 21851 is an old build with old titanium and no new interface ( start on top like wm 6.1 ) but it's very stable and almost every wm 6.1 program that i've tested works flawlessy, so if u want new fancy interface stick with your current rom 23017 but if u need a super stable build go for 21851.... 23xxx is the new build branch with neo titanium and start menu on the bottom :) I hope that i've cleared your doubt :) @dddrko Wow superfast i've just read the news on redmondpie and bang u are ready for a new release :) good work as always. If u agree i continue upload your rom on rapidshare and share the link here so every people can download it :) Cheers

There's some 23xxx builds with the Start Menu on top, and Neo Titanium is a mod and not from Microsoft so it shouldn't be part of any clean WM6.5 ROM. I guess I'll just wait for DDDRKO to give us some insight into what 21851 contains. I basically wanted to know if 23017 or 21851 was older.

I basically wanted to know if 23017 or 21851 was older. 21851 is newer than 23017, but comes from different branch. 21851 is few days old MW 6.5 release (btw. there's even newer 21854, I will try update that soon), stable and simple release. No big menus, .NET is version 2, no start menu on bottom, no moving icons, no taskbar zoomer etc. Such WM 6.5 MS will officially release at 6.10. 23xxx builds are WM 6.5.1, with a lot of UI changes, but you'll face a lot of problems with older applications on them. 23045 is latest and the best of them, I'm running it almost 24 hours now, and it is working (and looks) great. I planed to post it today if I found time. The decision is on you. Have in mind that WM 6.5.1 is in beta phase, so if you need all-working and stable OS use WM 6.5 (218xx) releases. But you'll miss the fun... One more thing: I build my roms to be CLEAN roms, not LITE roms. Everything MS include as part of the OS is in them with no (or minimum) changes. There's no 3rd party applications except Samsung's necesary files to run the phone. You'll have to install all the applications you need. Edited September 9, 2009 by dddrko

I just got confused by the change in the numbering of the builds I guess. 23017 was pretty good so 218xx should be great. :) I think I prefer the X button on top, but I like that the Shadowline theme adds the big finger friendly menu (like in the screenshot I posted) to the classic interface. Guest dave18 Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 hello dddrko / everyone : I switched to 21851 for a day --super rom , everything worked including my spb keyboard and time at top right corner. But having gotten used to the startmenu and X button at the bottom, I found the switch to the top rather confusing. So I switched back to 23409 and after a hard reset managed to get the omnia keyboard working for IE input. Excited about 23045-- at least the numbering system is back on track. hope the top taskbar works. thanks & best rgds , dave

It is lighter version of Teglic XT9 input that comes with Omnia. I have to fix T9 still not working... Edited September 9, 2009 by dddrko

Guest falcom Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 dear Sir DDDRKO im a newbie in winmo... i would like to upgrade my OS WM6.1 to a newer version.my concerns are i need 3rd party applications to work fine with the newer OS such as MAGICALL and etc... and also a more attractive UI is better... which verison would ypu recommend for me... also please tell me the pros and cons of your suggested versions and lastly can i have the link on where to download it and perhaps a brief instructions... sorry for the ignorance! thanks! more power! hope you'll reply!
Guest Daekin Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 falcom: if you really need compatibilty with many applicaitons, I think you can use version 21851. this is latest version that has still compatible GUI - no large buttons at the bottom, no large window controls etc. but it sill includes pretty Titanium homescreen and honeycomb start menu...I am using this version now and I am very satisfied...
Guest PayAndCry Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Hey DDDRKO, Will you release the 23047? I flashed the one from Sector but I want an untouched one. I don´t like the honeycomb style....
