Guest WoZZeR999 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 I did. It said that in my post? :excl: whoops, my mistake. Call it PDA.nb0.
Guest Foster318 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Actually, I'm almost there. It's kind of a jumble of a few different i900 kitchens. I'm trying to make everything I can into a package, so I can make a *Super Lite*, *Lite*, Standard, M2D, maybe a throttle launcher one, maybe a SPB one. And I could do all that from 1 folder. I'm going to take a look into 6.5 this weekend, but I'm not 100% sure if I can do it. You are awesome! Thanks for all your hard work, can't wait till these come out!
Guest Adrynalyne Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 whoops, my mistake. Call it PDA.nb0. Gotcha. Thanks a ton.
Guest blazingwolf Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 whoops, my mistake. Call it PDA.nb0. Umm, where is the nb0 at? I don't see it and it looks like everything is broken apart correctly.
Guest WoZZeR999 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Umm, where is the nb0 at? I don't see it and it looks like everything is broken apart correctly. The .nb0 is the first split from OSnbtools. Extractbin does another extraction on it. so if you do OSnbtools -sp image.img, you'll get image.img.bin.nb0. rename that file.

Worked like a charm :excl:
Guest WoZZeR999 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 (edited) Okay, I think Ive done enough testing for at least a semi-public release. This release is not for the faint of heart, it's basically a clean slate. If I have removed stuff that you want, you'll have to go find a cab for it, figure out how to put it back in (today2 needs secst.dll or something, there is also a today2 cab floating around somewhere). Things removed (maybe more, going off the top of my head now): Today Today 2 Samsung Widgits Connected Home Digital Frame FM Radio Main Menu (you'll want to re-assign this button, it will be task manager/switcher in later releases) Podcasts RSS Reader Ringtones (you'll want to find a new ringtone and set it, this release comes with none) Shozu VZAppzone link VZNav link Updated: CF 2.0 -> 3.5 Flash lite 2.1 -> 3.1 All EXE's optimized Added: Official Facebook app Latest google maps Java Total Commander Things you have to do yourself after installing: Enable GPS (if you don't know how to do this, you probably shouldn't be flashing) Internet seems to work most the time, but if it doesn't, the data number is #777 Disable the Today plug-in that is loaded --Probably more that I do not know about. Link: See my later threads for an updated version Instructions: Extract rar to UDML directory. Open UDML Click PDA FlashOS.bin will show up. Flash as normal. You are only flashing the PDA part of the ROM, so you can easily go back. You should be able to flash back to the original PDA img with UDML v2.3. Load the .img, uncheck eboot and CSC, and this will put you back to the Original CC20 rom. Please let me know of any problems you have with the rom, and I will try to fix them over the weekend. -WoZZeR Edited April 12, 2009 by WoZZeR999
Guest WoZZeR999 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 I've had a few downloads, anyone try it yet? I also don't know if it works with the old Eboot,CSC and Phone. I recommend updating your eboot and csc to the current firmware, then flash over the PDA with this.

I was actually considering flashing the PDA part with your image, while my phone is still old, original VZW firmware, which I couldnt update to new leaked ROM. Without knowing if it works with the original ROM this is kinda useless...not going to kill my 2nd Omnia in 1 day span.
Guest oraclegustavo Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 how much device memory did you have left after installing cooked rom?
Guest gayflag Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 The new leaked firmware seems to be a bit faster than the stock wares. I would however, like to see that vzappzone crap, and basically anything else that reminds me i use a verizon phone, gone; off my device. I pay for it, i should be able to use it how i want to.
Guest oraclegustavo Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 finished workin well how much device memory do you have free.
Guest WoZZeR999 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 (edited) There should be around 90-95 megs I think, maybe more. I actually haven't flashed the version I released, but I have a new one that I'm going to flash with. It includes the official youtube app, along with all refrences to VZnav and appzone gone (I hope). I'm leaving the visual voice mail in because I use it. I forgot to mention, all non US keyboards were removed as well. If there are any programs people would like to see cooked in, let me know. As long as it's good, and free (FOSS or legally free), I may cook it in. Edited April 10, 2009 by WoZZeR999
Guest nahyah Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Hi~ Loving the new ROM and GPS unlock. thanks very much for the cooked rom also. just a curiosity... wheres the wifi?

Guest WoZZeR999 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 I'm reflashing right now, but I'll take a look into the wifi. M2D is easy to do, I just have to click an extra button when I build it. Once I get this lite version stable, I'll start working on M2D. It will be based on how I like M2D, but it's easy to change by editing the XML files and stuff. If you have a current version of M2D you like, all you have to do it back up the correct files, and over write them in a cooked version.
Guest cheifkeiff Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Yeah, I'm gonna take a shot at 6.5 this weekend, it seems like it's gonna be a pain in the ass. As for voice nav software, I'm not going to include illegal software in the rom, so if you know of free voice nav software I can include that in. I will be flashing my ridiculously lite rom in about an hour, I'll let you know how that goes. 6.5 would be sick wish i could help but i will def donate to whoever could get it done!
Guest WoZZeR999 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 (edited) I'm gonna give 6.5 a shot over the weekend, but it's looking like it's gonna be a pain/out of my ability. Who knows though. I have a few 6.5 kitchens, so it will probably be a jumble of crap, and may or may not work. Latest version of my cooked has 91 megs free. I just keep adding stuff. But VZNav and VZAppZone icons are gone. Edit: Flashing with a untouched cooked rom (I did the whole extraction process, but didn't remove anything) to see if that fixes the wifi issue. If it does, then I have to figure out what file I deleted that deals with wifi. Edited April 10, 2009 by WoZZeR999

Yes yes please remove all this verizon s*** off any cooked roms. What they did to the phone was a disgrace and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. All of the verizon s*** is garbage anyway. None of it was useful. Their app store or whatever was a joke, vz navigator is a joke, the music app is a joke. Every thing about verizon is a joke. badword them. This is my first and last phone with this company.
Guest WoZZeR999 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Any Branded phone is going to come with stuff installed.
