Guest 3shirts Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 It seems kind of redundant to have such large pics for wallpaper only to have MS3 crop most of the pic out to use it. I've been playing around trying to get the sizing just right on my omnia, but it's hard to spend much time on it at work. If anyone knows the right size to make them so MS3 won't resize, it would sure save some time. :excl: The correct resolution is 960 x 748. Anything else will be scaled up/down until both dimensions are at least that size. The reason it does this is because of the way you can scroll 'off' the sides and the fact that you can increase the number of panes greatly (I have tested it with 10 panes on lifestyle home). If you have a picture you want to see all of, the only options would be to put a border round it so the total image (including that border) is 960 x 748.
Guest gem43228 Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Thanks for the reply 3shirts. I wasn't taking into account having more than 3 panes. But with 3 panes, a size of 550 x 400 fits nicely on the omnia, doesn't cut off any of the image, and reduces the file size. Now I have to play around with adding more panes.

Guest ronaldb3 Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 (edited) right click, save image as... Thanks OR. That worked. And for any lurkers out there: Then you copy the .jpg files to Omnia folder /Program Files/SPB Mobile Shell. And then they show up when you go to Change Background for Lifestyle screen. Ron...
