Just wondering: how long do you people plan on keeipng your Omnias?

Personally I only change to another phone when the previous one is completely broken.. My first phone lasted 3 years, the second one 4 years and now I have an Omnia.. Hopefully it'll last at least as long!

I'll get a free upgrade in about 2 years when my contract runs out, but for now, I'm loving the Omnia...first smartphone I've had, and keep finding new things to do with it :D

If OmniaHD gets WinMo, I`ll definately not eat for a month but I`ll buy it  But for now - OMNIA :D

Agree I will be jumping ship if a WinMo Omnia HD comes out!

But even if it doesn't I will be board by August and will be looking at the Toshiba G3 , HTC Super Star, the Omnia HD and fnally the third gen Iphone ( :D I know I will get slaughtered for that one!)

Maybe in 2-3 years, as I've understod it a tele company in Sweden is about to devolope 150MB/s connection for phones in all Sweden, so when really awesome phones with really awesome ability, like 100/10 LAN connection get's available with awesome features, preferably 10.2 megapixel camera and such gets released, i'll get it! :D

I'll keep it for as long as it will last .. I break or lose phones pretty easyly in general :D this is my first WinMo phone and I LOVE it !!!

It's also VERY solid, metal casing

I take good care of it, other phones would have already been scratched, not a single one on my omnia yet since december =) yay

also the specs it has will keep me quite satisfied for a long time to come

don't be fooled by the MP number. 6 megapixel or 10.2 simply doesn't matter for cellphone cameras: with 10.2, you'll only see the horrible noise levels of the tiny lenses better ;P

hmm.... i don't have much money....

but that's not the reason

i'm faithful guy...so...i think 5...4 years...or maybe more...

and i want to know the quality of samsung high end phone.

because i love this phone. hope samsung make it better with upgrading ROM or maybe replace hardware... :D

I believe there will be no more new rom because there are many new phones to be worked on. Omnia i900 is the very first all touch PDA phone for me coming from previously owned unlocked E880 (very small and fast phone) and the ATT D807 (only better with a speaker). And I loved how to tweak and hack wm 6.1 apps but got no more time to do so, plus it is probably at best (at least) with DXIA2 Qbus4 clean rom and SPB shell 3 (was happy with SPB shell 2). At least it can put iphone fan boy to shame when it comes to GPS, video, blah blah but I wish the UI is more user friendly in web browing enviroment like Opera (too jumpy scrolling), and better graphics resolution, bigger screen ~4", true smooth and good video recording, good pictures with flash or at night time, maybe a very slim slide keyboard (good for gaming), 3.5mm audio output jack, internal fm antenna, more ram, US 3G. So if the Omnia HD meets those needs then I get it in a heart beat.

Until It breaks or i can get an android phone with comparable or better specs and since im tied to Verizon (3g everywhere is nice no matter what anyone says they DO have the biggest network) I will probably never see the second one happen. but I will definitely be watching samsung from here on out since I love my omnia. the omnia HDs are okay but WHY DID THEY GET RID OF MY OPTICAL MOUSE!!!11!!ONE!

any who yeah unless I stumble on to a briefcase full of non sequential unmarked bills It will be some time before I will be switching. the only thing that might intice me is an android or next gen palm or a nearly identical omnia with a wider screen and a few extra hardware buttons...or a 3.5 headphone port....or....

yeah ill stop now i could spend hours describing my dream device.

ball tracking is way better and faster, optical is cool but no

Its been having a hard time lately, wifi gone, battery being a bit flakey.... and thats after 7 months :D

Must admit I was looking at the HTC Touch HD the other day on ebay, but its going for funny money...
