Hi I read you have the Telus Rom. Can you please send me a copy. This was a customer phone that we hastily updated without having all the facts. Hope you can help Thx.

if you are not going to use it as a phone or a gps receiver here is what you can do:

download the rom for i900 called i900dxhh1.exe

and flash it

first it runs but in the end it gives an error message. no problem it works.

but after this point you cant return to i910. or not yet for me

i am still working on a solution.

I think i found a way to get both working but still on it

when you open your phone, its beeping a lot. this is because it is trying to open the phone but it cant.

just open the flight mode on. and no beeps.

You can charge your phone. battery works.

Ok, i have the same problem than many others before.

I'm with telus, i flashed my Telus Omnia 1 phone. I wanted to install the system update CF03 on my phone that i found with the Samsung website.

The problem is like you allready know, it change with verizon drivers, the battery doesnt work nor the phone mode.

Now, looking for an original telus Rom, or any information if this as been fixed by TELUS or Samsung or even a Cooked rom for Telus Omnia for people like me

that didnt knew all the facts.

Any solution at this time ?

I'll be really happy if one of you can take the time to look for a solution.

I really hope there is a solution, this happened to a lots of people. I'm just looking for a way to get it like it was out of the box or (as close as possible).

I just got the phone a few month ago, so i hope i wont have to buy a new one for that mistake.

Samsung is VERY bad at the firmware checking. I have bricked a DVD-RW recorder few months ago because, just like you, happy to see an update that fixes some of the problems, downloaded a firmware for the player, flash it and sh*t! Even the model # matches, but because it was different region (US vs CA), there are slight different in the hardware and render the player completely useless. And the only way to 'repair' it, is to send it back to the shop so they can flash the correct firmware back on.

IMHO, those developer should get a big fat bonus because they failed to check if the version of new firmware is compatible before accepting it and samsung makes additional profit for 'fixing' it. (OK, maybe that's good in some cases, easier to flash custom firmware)

Anyway, feel bad for you, another victim f'ed up his/her device by trusting a firmware that's released on samsung website.

Care to share? We seriously need those ROM. For people to re-flash their phones and developers to get rid of some of the annoying 'features' (like alarm when battery is fully charge in the middle of the night!)
