Guest jxa4508 Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Hmm Looks like some Titan Folks have Build 21501.5.0.70 http://forum.ppcwarez.org/viewtopic.php?f=139&t=61585 Anyway we might be able to implement this into our system(I love those curvy tabs haha)
Guest lioryte Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 WoZZer just wanted to let you know on lite I have all systems green, including MS Voice, this was the W/E, I use the omnia for work, tomorrow I'll give it a wild Corp. Monday welcome with 26896 emails and 98746 text msg and 235 calls, we'll see how this baby operates under pressure. Again, thanks for fixing the Voice it's important to those who drive to work :D
Guest Chris H11 Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Chris - check this out http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-r...m-config-wm6-5/ Once I found this tutorial I was able to understand how to use CHome Editor. Having said that I'm still trying to figure out how to get the CHome Notifications panel to show up :-) Just enabling in the editor doesn't work. So close... Thanks, I'll check it out. :D
Guest charles2995 Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 (edited) wozzer this is fantastic. i think for the first time one of my friends will be able to pick up my phone and know how to use it without me having to tell them what to do haha however, it is a beta, and i think we should create one list with all the issues this firmware has so it will be more convenient for our favorite rom builder to fix them. ill get the ball rolling. 1) there is no direct tab on titanium to open opera or p.i.e or whatever browser pleases your fancy 2) no hexagonal shapes around the icons!! Edited May 4, 2009 by charles2995
Guest GlassEyedPete Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 woah so can you set it as a today plugin?? No, it's still not a today plug in. Once you go into mobile shell you have to select go to today for it to go back. Pressing the end key will not exit the shell. Anyway, this type of stuff is probably for another thread. MS 3 is free to try from the SPB site.

It's not a bug in the rom. You can put the hexagons in if you want them by looking into other forums. I would suggest checking out Qbus & Sector & Khuanchai's wm 6.5 research thread for more customization options. http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-r...esearch-thread/ Just to be clear...do not try to install one of sector's roms. I guess it got annoying? I dunno... cant wait for the second release.... its like crack for a geek
Guest WoZZeR999 Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 From what I understand, MS has 2 release groups. there's a 21215, which is actually later than 21501. the 200 series is probably more back end stuff, the 500 series more UI stuff. I'm not 100% sure on that though. I do plan on getting 21215 working though. Some of those build numbers look suspect though.
Guest Chapster Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 After reading the whole thread, there is one question that I haven't seen asked. How do you back up the phones 6.1 ROM in case you want to revert back from 6.5?
Guest GlassEyedPete Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 (edited) After reading the whole thread, there is one question that I haven't seen asked. How do you back up the phones 6.1 ROM in case you want to revert back from 6.5? use a program like spb backup to make a backup of your settings in 6.1 and save that backup file somewhere. install 6.5... If you don't like 6.5... install 6.1... and run the backup you made to restore your settings. If you're talking about ROM's, azintegra has posted both the original and leaked 6.1 roms in another thread on modaco. Edited May 4, 2009 by GlassEyedPete

How do you back up the phones 6.1 ROM in case you want to revert back from 6.5? Not that i really know what i'm talking about... but if its a Stock VZW phone, then you DON'T back that rom up. but if it's the Leaked [6.1] version that you found (and installed) to unlock the GPS, well then,,.... you already have a "backup" copy.

Thanks, I didn't keep up to date on the GPS topic. I'll do a search for that file. I like to have a back up plan in case I might need it. :D
Guest charles2995 Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 this isn't necessarily a 6.5 specific question, but have you noticed that if you set an image as the wallpaper on the portrait mode and then flip it to landscape on the home screen, the image is all messed up?
Guest Dblocker Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Just ran across this great Titanium theme customized by Sector that adds a cool settings panel for quickly changing wireless settings, add/remove programs, etc plus the notifications panel. There is a bug where the Weather panel doesn't show any text until you hover over it; then it works fine. Anyway it can be found at http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-r...esearch-thread/.

You have to use a larger picture as the background for that not to happen. Use something like 400x400 instead of 240x400.
Guest cmsmith3 Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Just flashed my i910 and all went well, I am playing around with it and found that my wifi isn't working, Should it or not with this rom? By the way I love it!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Guest modidlee Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 most of the time i can find what i need to know just by lurking or searching but this time its not working. i tried everything to get my city added to the touchflo weather and it just will NOT work!!! anybody else been able to add a custom city?
Guest Mikeeeeee Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Hey Guys, I Just flashed my phone with this rom and everything seems to be working great!!!! Awesome work. One question though! How do i enable the new taskbar or bottombar?. Similar to how it is in this Is there any way to get the more finger friendly file explorer working?
Guest kingmonty Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Will this work on the i900 as well? Or is it specific to the i910?
Guest PearlMikeJam Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Well I took the plunge and have been playing around with the ROM for the last day or so. I have had more issues with the original Verizon ROM than I had with this. My only issues have already been mentioned - BT Voice Commands do not work. I know Wozzer addressed this in another post, so I am anxiously awaiting an update because this is something I need. My only other issue is I have not been able to get the GPS to work with this ROM. I flashed the leaked ROM and got the GPS get 6 sats after about 5 minutes outside my house. For whatever reason, using the same GPS settings, I cannot get GoogleMaps to get any sats. I walked around my neighborhood last night and could not get anything. I will have to play with this some more. I thought I read that the battery increments were supposed to be 5% not 20% in these newer ROMs. I did not get that in the leaked ROM or in this. Did I misunderstand the battery increments? The other minor issues I have are personal preferences, mostly related to Mobile Shell 3. I need to change the soft key from Comm Manager to SPB Mobile Shell. I am not sure why the Mobile Shell install did not create that, but it did not. Some of the Mobiel Shell custom items for the Lifestyle screen do not work with 6.5. I really like the Professional Clock, but the version I used on the previous ROM will not work in 6.5 for whatever reason. Finally, some of the icons for new apps in 6.5 (MSN Weather) do not show in MS3. MS3 uses a generic icon for all those apps making it difficult to distinguish the apps without the text. Great work Wozzer!!! You have converted another to ROM flashing.

Great work Wozzer!!! You have converted another to ROM flashing. The battery increments were a software trick that is terribly inaccurate. The battery driver itself needs to be fixed, and that doesn't appear to have happened. Only Easy Settings will give the 5% increments, and I've found it to be up to 20% or more off from actual battery level.
Guest Mikeeeeee Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 FingerSuite works great! Thanks. One problem though is file explorer. If you look on other 6.5 devices. It's tons more finger friendly with the scrolling. Kinda like the Iphone. Is there any way to configure that?
Guest doitall76 Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 I was able to get everything up and running, and then finally noticed that my Wi-Fi is gone. Any suggestions? I look under Wireless Manager and I only have the Phone and Bluetooth. Doitall76
