ok, installed. but now when turning phone it won't go sideways! (landscpae or portrait.) has anyone else experienced this? i know the accelorometer still works because the shotgun app (way kool) still works :-? help pless

ok i am useing the lite rom (non m2d) version 2

well done im glad to see 6.5 for us!

love the honeycomb lol

my issues

1.the mort script prompt pops up every soft reset,

2. after sending a txt , then hit OK , phone freezes

3. phone freezes when get new txt

that is all i found so far, anyone else experianced these?

a side note when i flash it , it stays on the samsung page i believe for a while just haveing the bar moving back and forth

ok i fixed the problem, was spb backup restoring emails and texts, for some reason it didnt like that.

if anyone is willing to help, how to get the gps working?

i went into setting phone gps location on

that didnt get any locks,

also did the advance configer way and enagled AGPS

that didnt get any locks,

before i used baf's gps toggle and it worked like a charm!

im useing google maps

also if anyone knows how to make it lock when hit power button that would be cool (lock and sleep like s2u2) but useing the wm6.5 lock

omniafanatic - did you soft reset after making the reg changes? Also make sure you delete any favorite/favoriteorder entries. Rank is definitely how the icons are ordered.

dmcnado - to set the softkeys within wm6.5 the left one is universal and is set in HKLM\software\microsoft\chome. Change SK1TEXT and SK1URL to whatever you want. I've got it set to launch Tasks as I rely on my ToDo list in Outlook tasks. You can set the right softkey to be different for each panel, so for example I changed the CClock section to add SK2TEXT to Alarm and SK2URL to the samsung alarm clock app.

Thanks for the reg edit to change the softkeys within 6.5. It was driving me nuts because everytime I would change it using KeySwop or other similar programs, it would revert back! Now it is staying changed! Thanks, again.

for myself, (not with wozzer's rom but with the original leak from integra) I needed no settings changes other than turning the gps on in phone settings. What got it working for me was waiting maybe a half an hour outside with google maps pre-zoomed to my actual current location, and then having google use GPS.

dunno if you have done the sit out side and zoom in yourself thing yet, but it takes time and no roof.

Thanks this is great so far!

I'm wondering if anyone is going to make a kitchen for Omnia roms. They are great because they let you choose which programs to install and then it bakes them all into a custom rom for you. No need for the chefs to make different version for different programs and storage levels. Last time I used one was on my 6700 I think.......

ahh, the 6700... those were the good old days. The ppckitchen.org kitchen now supports around 10 devices. It would be great if we could get the omnia added. I'm not sure what the challenges are but maybe we could contact them and ask.

Would someone who flashed the 21222 M2D version be so kind as to post their \windows\HTChomesettings.xml file? I think I screwed mine up trying to fix the email and weather and now the phone locks up when M2D is running.

Try using GPS Toggle.. it helps get you the lock you need. Check this post..

Yeah. I ran into the same problems yesterday when I tried to configure it. I kept failing to get a signal, but it was because I was indoors. I went outside for 10 minutes or so while it attempted to get signal, and finally got one. Now it's pretty quick establishing a connection. :D

I would donate if it would help get the omnia on ppckitchen. I would be happy to assist anywhere in that project, if it was cookable in the kitchen I could finally make my own rom!

Hmm...M2D Problems...whats new haha just playin, this is the file out of the blue theme, let me know if it help you at all...

EDIT, I saw you requested out of the 21222 Build, don't think that XML I attached was from it, but I installed it using M2DC so I know it is an ok working XML...might help, might not, worth a shot...

continual freezing after the screen turns off, well the phone still works because i can recieve texts and calls, but i cant turn the screen on. i saw someone else had this problem but read now solution. will i be able to look forward to a cleaner version sooner? i know this is beta, but i really need functionality :/ everything besides that has been flawless.

hey, i rand umdl_omnia and my phone just displays "Do Not Disconnect.....OS Flash Image Update..." i'm not sure how long it is supposed to take to flash a new rom but i let this run for an entire day and nothing changed.

Any assistance would be great.

Disconnect and re-ran again, but try to switch USB ports, Mine hang up for over 1 hr because I was using a mac running parallels. I disconnected and re-ran on a dell OK, as long as you haven't seen the greenbars, the process hasn't started. It takes about 5 minutes. Maybe 10.

Also, use the USB ports closest to your motherboard (e.g. the ones in the back, if you have a laptop)

Yes you are right, but when comparing the GPS performance from original leaked ROM to this one it's a HUGH difference. I have no idea why but I'm happy when getting a lock in under a minute compared to w8ting 10+. How's your 6.5 project coming?

My GPS is as well... Inside, middle of the house, at my desk...locks right on to my location (within a few feet) in under a minute. Now I will say that it went a little crazy last night when I went to a party about 25 miles away and was using google maps to get me there...did fine going to, but coming back home, it was acting crazy and noticibly off (had me located off the road by several meters).

REALLY loving this rom...6.5m2d v2, but becomes a little more unstable each time I add more touchflow stuff.

Man I thought I was the only one experiencing these problems...like the freaking "." sometimes when I type. The battery icon and the keyboard and G-alarm not working properly...all these can be easily fixed. Theres a cab for the battery icon...the keyboard seem to be the choice of software by the user...G-alarm once it go through the initial stage is fine. I do have problem tho...

My java games were working before with the leaked rom using Jblend. Now that i flashed with this new 6.5 ROM with the Java built in...my games are not working anymore. Actually, it will run and open up but once I ENABLE SOUND and hit the check....it just shuts off and go back to the home page. For example, I have Rayman Raving Rabbit TV Party, when I open it and it asked if I wanna enable sound or not. I select yes and then hit the "check" button and Bam! shuts off and go to the home page. It does that with every games I have that require Java. Now I want to install Jblend cuz it seems to work with these games....how do I disable the Java thats already installed in the ROM and replace it with Jblend. OR at least disable it so I use Jblend or set Jblend as my default...maybe Registry?

Thanks, I am actually using parallels on my mac. Will this not work if I continue to use parallels?

Also i switched USB ports and nothing seems to change....the screen still says "Do Not Disconnect..." and "OS Flash Image Update..." followed by a row of green bars.

i found out what the issue with the freezing phone was. it wasnt a freeze like i thought, and so did other people. for some reason after the screen turning off when the phone wakes up it stays black for about 45- 70 seconds and than it will come to the lock screen, just what i had running not that it brings it up, and it will be EXTREMELY slow and unresponsive. i will slide to unlock and after two minutes it will register that i did it. it goes too slow to even function and requires a soft-reset. is there some setting i can play with the fix it after wake up? or will this just have to fixed in another update? please give me some feedback

It was mentioned earlier in this thread that there is a screen which is only seen if you have your phone locked and get a call. it is a nice look with a theme-matching background and oval buttons. great improvement compared to the usual wimno screen. is anyone looking into finding out how to incorporate this into all calls? wozz, adryn, blaz? i know you can do it. any ideas?

go to lock and change the windows default to the other option.
