Guest jprowland Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Props again WoZZeR... I love the idea of a "naked" version! I've been running your Lite ROM for a while with PointUI Home2 (I just couldn't get into M2D, Home2 is more compact, intuitive, and responsive, not to mention works in Landscape). There are several programs I never have and never will use like Total Commander (I'm sorry, if I can't operate a program one-handed with my thumb, I'm not interested... this isn't the 1980s anymore) so I much prefer being able to pick and choose what to install. Just finished downloading so I'll be installing promptly. Thanks again! JP
Guest faziatic Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Hi there, I'm using an Omnia i900 from Austrian provider A1 with German language. Would you suggest to use this ROM? Are there any side-effects I could encounter?? thx so far
Guest wamsille Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 For the office folders, i had the same problem with two folders. The fix is easy, simply go to /windows/start menu/programs. Then hit menu and check show all files. Finally just go into office mobile and just cut one note out and paste it into Office mobile 1. you can now delete the old folder and rename the new folder. This is where you can edit all of your honeycomb menu items. Also if you are losing your pictures of programs in the honeycomb, simply delete the shortcut and then copy and paste in the .exe file from under /windows back into the /windows/start menu/programs folder. Hey, that's pretty snazzy. Thanks for the tip.

Guest PearlMikeJam Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 The only side effect is that your phone turns into a brick! Wozzer - Great job! Thanks for including voice command. It works with BT now for me. Does any know how I can get the Touch Player to open my videos the way it did on the original VZW ROM? I like using the Media Album app to view pictures and videos. On the stock phone, you could tap a video and it would bring up the Touch Player to view the video. I am sure this is just a file association issue, but I am not sure how to modify file associations in WM.

Use that one, it has the codecs that I took out.

Wozzer - Sorry for the confusion. I am using the Lite ROM with the the Touch Player installed from the file in the first post. If I tap or double tap a video file in Media Album, it just selects it, but will not play it. I can play it if I open it in Touch Player by itself or even in WMP, but I tend to use Media Album more. I do not consider this a bug. I was just trying to see if I was just missing a setting. One more thing. I am not getting the Welcome Center to show on my Today screen. I have disbled it and then enabled it, but no luck. I thought I had this working on the Lite ROM last time. Did I miss something? Thanks again for all the work! Edited May 14, 2009 by PearlMikeJam
Guest xxmadhatter Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 after running naked for nine hours, haha lol, i only had one instance of the screen waking up and being extremely slow. great work. and @jprowland LONG LIVE HOME2 PRO!! everyone should check it out, its pretty sweet
Guest jbrokaw99 Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) Anyone know where to find the rom (i910WM6.1.REV10.CC20.VZW.img)? every link I have clicked is saying the rom has been removed or the daily download limit has been exceeded. Thanks in advance! Edited May 14, 2009 by jbrokaw99
Guest oraclegustavo Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 is anyone else having problems with the motion sensor sort of disabling itself. Meaning when I turn the phone in any direction it wont rotate. soft reset usually fixes it, but it will "disable itself again after a while. Funny thing is, sometimes and rarely, it will enable itself again. I already tried looking in the motion sensor settings and it is set to automatic. Tried changing to manual, applying and then opening again and setting back to automatic. I am using the lite rom, which aside from this IS AWESOME. anyone have any ideas? anyone?
Guest Yelofnitsuj Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) I got the GPS working (not that anyone even responded to my post), don't know what the issue was, probably just poor reception. I kept trying and eventually it worked. The other issues I posted (XT9 not choosing the letter 'I' automatically and not being able to add words while typing a message) are still problems. Also, if I flash with the update of M2D, will I lose my settings? I spent pretty much all day playing with and adjusting the settings and installing additional programs, I'd hate to have to do that all over again. THanks. Edited May 14, 2009 by Yelofnitsuj
Guest cuzzinz Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Anyone Find custom popup keyboards? I have the one with the Full row space bar well the full size space bar at least and I want that one with the popup keys LOL. Now that v3 has the keyboard a lot faster it would be nice... if not oh well ill just switch to the other one without the popup...
Guest maldonj1 Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) For a flashlight, I'm using mFlash. It runs as a program, but worke great. the site listed in the about tab is http://dev.etechniker.com Either that, or just google it. Great workaround for the M2D issue Thanks man, that little proggy is sweet, lol send SOS and text messages in morse code using your flash...lol nice, anyways my two co workers love it so they are happy, yea thats the good thing about flashing is i have 3 omnias to play with and soon to have 5 soon as a few more associates upgrade, they never know what im giving them so that makes it more fun. oh and if you go in through start menu, settings, usb to pc i was able to disable the advanced network connectivity which was giving us an IP address. wozzer what is that dialer skin called thats all black? is that the MCarroll? and is there any possible way to disable the annoying connecting to network #777 popup? Guest cheifkeiff Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 I'm running the .03 Stock ROM... The Flash Light works for me. I find that if the device is active, the flashlight works, but if it is idle (or sleep mode, or when the screen dims) then it will behave as the volume control. This is normal according to the disclaimer at the Buttons page in the Flash Light tab. I use this for the flashlight you can assign it to a hardware key or a short cut just install to deviceTorchButtonOmnia.CAB
Guest cuzzinz Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Ok so yeah 6.5 Lite.... is Bad asss!!!! Best Rom I have ever used. Its fast... with soooo much memory available. The only 3 little gripes i have are: 1. Touch player removed means no click to play in Media Album. 2. Clock still shows Home Service instead of vzw or verizon wireless 3. Data Connection no launching.... That is all! Its fast... stable...and ... just wonderful lol.
Guest Higgy76 Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 The alignment dosent seem to be as good as v2 for some reason on my omnia. Ive tryed to align it again but it still isnt right. Did you change anything with the alignment or screen in v3?
Guest gge5 Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) I am having the same issue with Pandora however I have never had it working correctly and have tried several different versions around. I can get signed in, see my stations and then the connecting issue with a message eventually telling me about network difficulties. I didn't think it was related to WoZZer's roms however. Same thing here, but I believe pandora is currently down. Try going to www.pandora.com to see if you can access your stations that way. Also, I can't find Office Word, Excel, or Powerpoint. The only application under Office Mobile is OneNote. There aren't any other folders (e.g. Office Mobile(1)), so I don't think they're around anymore. Is there somewhere I can download and install these programs? I'm using the Lite version. Edited May 14, 2009 by gge5
Guest rosenhauer Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Simply awesome! Thanks for all of the hard work.
Guest Livingghost Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) WoZZer, I just wanted to say that I've been keeping up with your iterations of the 6.5 Roms and I'm enjoying watching it evolve with you. Thus far, I've used each of your "stock" Omnia Roms. I just installed V.03 today. One thing that I've noticed, and I apologize if it's been covered, but I have my screen set to lock so no dialing mishaps can happen, and when I receive a call, I get the sliders showing I can "answer" or "ignore", which is GREAT.. but, once I'm on the call, none of the other touch buttons work--- "volume", "hold", for example. Not even the actualy hardware volume buttons work. Is there a workaround for this, or have I missed something. Again, I try to keep up, but sometimes there's just too much happening. Again, I think you're kicking some ass here, and I appreciate the liberation you're offering to myself and many others in the community. Keep it up. Thank you so much. :D Edited May 14, 2009 by Livingghost
Guest reydiodj Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 and is there any possible way to disable the annoying connecting to network #777 popup? That is in Sounds and Notifications... Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications, under the Notifications tab, select the Connection established event and uncheck the box for "Display message on the screen."
Guest MrSmoofy Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Just installed the STOCK 6.5 v3 rom but poking around I found the honey comb menu isn't there and the black theme I thought you said you included isn't there. Also found the dice game (was just poking around) doesn't work. I see CHome editor is there in utilities but what is it for?
Guest reydiodj Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Also, if I flash with the update of M2D, will I lose my settings? I spent pretty much all day playing with and adjusting the settings and installing additional programs, I'd hate to have to do that all over again. THanks. Yes, flashing removes your customizations/programs/etc.
