I'm still using the 256-count average 1% driver and haven't noticed much of an issue at all. I guess the way I thought about it, averaging 1024+ counts would take more than just averaging 256.. Who knows.. I'm happy with the 256 and that's what I'm keeping.

If more people complain about the power thing, I'd use the default driver, and if people want the 1% drivers, they can just get the .cab versions of them and install the one they want.

I agree, I was not really complaining. Just making a comment on my actual usage. On the 5.1 ROM I made it a whole day with 80% battery under the same usage. kabkab says that he doesn't yet understand why the drain issue happens or if is just perception, but today was my experience. I will leave it on there for a few more days and see. It may simply be a matter how the device is used from one person to the next. I do not get to charge my phone from 430 am EST until after 1000 pm EST. That is a long day for me much less my phone.

Well, it certainly not an issue to put the old battery dll back in. Seems most of you would like me to so I will put it back in for the update.

@Everyone,

I'm looking for ideas on how to incorporate CHome in to the Neo theme. Anyone have any ideas about this?

I'm glad you like the ROM. :D Please post your issues so that I can look in to them.

Thanks Blazing - Here are the issues I have encountered so far that reproduce consistently:

When unlocking the phone (from a corporate imposed security configuration), the contacts window is always displayed regardless of the window that was open when the phone was locked.

The weather section of the home screen has a small open dot instead of the original icon, and the only weather option is MSN. The Accuweather softkey in the bottom right still renders correctly. The other weather applications generated an error for me initially, and are now partially uninstalled.

This is a weird one but reproduces consistently for me:

With the phone horizontal and an application being displayed, an incoming call being displayed; rotating the phone vertically causes the screen to become black at the bottom (I assume where the incoming message dialog is trying to display), the application to stop responding, instable behavior in all applications, and the hard key must be used to anser the call. Rebooting the phone after this occurs resolves the behavior. Very odd but doesnt happen very often, and I have not tried to repro going from vertical to horizontal. I wonder if the accelerometer driver could cause this, but you're the expert (-:

All other behavior is amazingly fast and stable, so thanks again for your hard work on this build. In the event you release a new build, do I just reflash with the same steps to apply it?

Cheers!

1. I'm going to need more info on this one as I am not sure what you mean by corporate security. PM me if you need to.

2. Can you send me a screenshot please so I can see what you mean.

3. I'll look in to it.

Hey Blazing,

I will get some screenshots to you for clarification. Regarding the corporate security peice - I used active sync to setup a connection with my Exchange server at work, which requires the use of a PIN number or complex password to be used on the phone. It may be part of a security update that is imposed on the phone when the connection is setup. Afterwards, the phone must be unlocked using the password before it can be accessed anytime it is idle for 15 minutes, manually locked, or rebooted.

For the rotation part, hold your phone horizontally and open any app or window. Call your phone from another device, and when the incoming call notification is displayed as your phone is ringing, turn your phone vertically. This should repro the error, unless specific to my setup, but I will send a screenshot as well.

Thanks so much for your response, and I will provide any feedback and testing you would like on this ROM.

Hmm, OK. I have no clue on how to reproduce that bug as I don't have your security settings. Does it use lock screen or is it separate?

Here are trhe screenshots for the weather issue:

Looks like the TitaniumWeather panel has become corrupted somehow. Can you remember installing something or making a change before it happened? Have you tried making a backup hard resetting and see if the issue is still there after restoring the backup?

Here's mine right now. :D

It won't survive long though as I need to flash again to test changes I have made.

The only thing I recall about the weather issue is that I did not have a data connection when I first browsed to and selected one of the options. It seems as though the items I selected at that point generated an error and diplayed an odd icon. I will try the hard reset and let you know the outcome.

Regarding the lock screen, I believe it is the default (has a slide bar to unlock, then I get another screen to enter my pin and unlock the phone. Not a big deal on this one, but just weird that the contact window seems associated with the Exchange association. I honestly don't recall this happening before i applied my security policy, so it must be specific to that. No worries on this.

Thanks

From the screenshots leapyear1980 posted, it just looks like he's running the 5.1 rom and hasn't done the weather update to fix whatever the problem everyone has had the last few days.

As far as the security lock pulling up the contacts, I don't think it's associated with his work server or anything like that because mine does the exact same thing and I haven't done anything since flashing to your rom. It's just the slide lock and pin code screen default in your rom and once the pin is entered, the contacts page comes up, usually with the last person I've spoken to on the phone or texted being highlighted. I was gonna ask you about this very same issue but leapyear beat me to it. I find the contacts thing annoying but was planning on flashing to your new rom anyway so I was just hoping this issue was resolved or non-existant in the new rom. Still diggin 5.1 though so maybe a resolve to this would be nice.

Either way, you're a total stud!!! Thanks for all the hard work. I know you get a ton of these pats on the back so to speak but I really mean it. You da man!!! :D

Alright. Thanks for the extra explanation. Please check the weather issue after a hard reset and make sure that you install the weather fix. You could also upgrade to the newer ROM and see if this helps you.

I will investigate the lockscreen issue to see if I can duplicate it.

I don't think the weather issue is from that. He is missing several pages from the panel and the pages should still show.

I will look in to the lock issue and see if I can get it fixed.

That weather issue happened to me...not sure why or when it happened but it worked for like a week and then stopped...all the pages are still there but it seems like the data it grabs from the internet isn't there...that's why a degree sign is there but there are no numbers and the detailed weather descriptions have the wording just not the numbers...i'm still running 5.1 and just let it go because i know once i get the chance i'll be flashing to 6 and the issue will be resolved there...lol...

Right, that is a different issue that affected everyone that used TitaniumWeather. leap is missing pages which leads me to believe that it is a different issue. I've already posted the fix for the weather issue if you want the weather working before upgrading to v6.

Is there any cab to install Different Weather Icons, the cartoony ones are too plain for me? And 1 more thing b4 I go to work how about working in the Full Screen Volume Changer that was in the CC20 Rom...I really like the Volume Wheel. Its one of the things I show people a lot.

There are more icons in the WM6.5 goodies thread. If you install them though just do the icons as it will mess up the layout otherwise. I will make up a couple of packs with the Neo layout in the next couple of days.

The large volume is broken in my ROM right now. I'm looking into this and hope to have something for it.

For those with the pin screen issues try this cab please.

The issue is that there are buttons under the unlock button. So when you tap over them they are still activating. This cab removes the covering over those buttons so that you see three distinct buttons. That way when you tap the unlock button it goes straight to the today screen. If you tap on the contact button it goes to contact screen, etc.

Edit: The original lock fix cab broke another portion of the lock system. This one is the new version which fixes the lock screen and does not break any thing else. Amazing what a spelling mistake will do. :D

When I try to copy the new weather icons into the windows directory, I get an error telling me I can't copy since the originals are ROM files. Any Suggustions?

Also, how can I edit the boot up screens?

You need to use Resco Explorer or Total Commander.

Replace welcomehead.96.png with a image of the same name. You will need to use one of the file explorers above to do this also.

BW, can I have your dragon background? :D

Any idea why when I open messaging it defaults to a keyboard even though I have phonepad set in all defaults?
