will the Windows Live Chome work?

Yes, it works. You have to sign in first though and tell the plugin to work. It has not been converted for the Neo theme yet either but it does work.

Hey BW, I have two questions, one I have watched a few Youtube videos showing other people playing with 6.5 ROMs and having wickedly fast scrolling on say the Windows folder, the one in this (and other) ROMs makes this tick, tick sound and really can't be forced to fast. Is this just because the ROM is a "modified" version of 6.5?

Secondly, Is there a standard CAB made that allows a person to add M2D to "any" ROM made? Please forgive my ignorance, I am trying to get schooled up on what is available with ROMs.

1. The scrolling is from Samsung. This is a frankin build of 6.5 so it still has 6.1 stuff in it like the scroll from Samsung. I can't fix this unfortunately. There is a work around though. Install FTouchSL. Don't have to do anything else nor buy it as just installing it changes the driver. Unfortunately I can not just change the driver. ;)

2. Yeah, there is a cab for it though I'm not sure where at the moment. If you do a search here you should be able to find it.

Oh, thanks for posting. I was beginning to think I had small pox or something. :D

so this will probably be the weirdest question you've gotten so far, but its important to me, when my computer slows down i do a defrag and usually that does the trick, is there a program you like to use that would help speed up your phone after a few simple installations or anything? cause my scroller thingy-ma-bob is even going slowly >.<

Just installed without a hitch on my one week old Omnia. Looks great so far! I was pleasantly surprised that my photos remained (yes, I forgot to backup). Thanks very much for your efforts :D

Chose yours over Bgill55's because I wanted to keep Today for now. I'm curious about the USB battery charging issue, though. He seems to say his f/w solves it. Are you both using the same driver or patch?

what's in this rom!

Update 2.5

Changed the page pool to 12mb

New Build 21820

Battery diver fixed(for real this time)

On the subject of fixing OEM bugs, Has anyone got Wi-Fi to work with long WPA passphrases? I have been able to connect with up to 11 char passphrases, but have not been able to connect with several long passphrases (40+ chars) after trying on several different routers/APs. Haven't really tested intermediate length phrases. This was true with all of original BJ28, leaked CC20 and BW7 firmwares. Any ideas?

BW,

Great build. using v 7 for a couple days now and no issues specific to ROM yet. Battery life seems excellent. all day yesterday and through the night without charging still at 80%. I like the gray background on everything, nice touch.

I have a request. Can you look at the CComm panel and see if you can get it to fit the Neo layout? I like using it more than the CLinks.

Excellent work on the neo panels btw, I am sure greatbal is appreciative.

Well, any time you flash it is like doing a clean install of the OS on your PC. So that should always help. You can also do a format of the My Storage area though most times you don't need to do this.

The advantage of these devices is that they use solid state memory so don't really need to be defragged like a hard drive on your PC.

You can get tools like SKTools or Pocket Mechanic that can do many things like clean up bad files, remove programs you dont use and many other useful things.

BW - love the new rom. Working very well, no problems so far. Question - did you load MortScript v4.2? I checked the about screen, and it still shows Mort 4.1? I tried installing 4.2 myself, and the install runs. However, the info screen still shows that it is v 4.1? Since this is cooked into the rom, does that mean I cannot upgrade to 4.2 myself? Also, do you have plans to move to 4.2?

By the way, I am still trying to get jml stocks app to run on my omnia. If anyone has it working, can you please post how you got it working, or where I can go to get more info. I have read through the threads on xda, but still can't get it to work! :D

USB charging issue? The Omnia will charge over USB but it does it very slowly and will not do it very well while your device is in use. This is a design issue and really can't be fixed in any way.

That WiFi sounds like an issue with the software not accepting long codes. I doubt I can do anything to fix that. The device drivers have to be designed specifically for the Omnia so even if one worked for HTC device I would not be able to use it with the Omnia (I can't program anything like that).

I have noticed with the last two builds that my Activesync is not connecting as well. I have had to go to connection setting and switch to my storage and then back to activesync. Has anyone noticed this? My IT department just made some changes to my laptop when they installed a T1 line. That may have caused the problem.

I tried reinstalling activesync on the computer but it still happened.

EDIT: I really just use the activesync to browse the mobile device. so it is not a big problem. I don't sync contacts, email etc much cuz most of my data I have to forward through POP3 accts (comany uses only blackberry servers).

I use activesync all of the time and have not had an issue yet (though activesync may work for one and not another). So I am currently thinking that it is something on your end. Let ma know if you find something.

I didn't use another program.

1.I went to start.

2.Settings.

3.Personal.

4.Buttons.

5.Scrolled to wake up.

6.Selected Power button only.

7.I checked the box that say "When device is woken up,lock device"

I works perfectly for a couple minutes then when I get a phone call and hit the end key is doesn't work.So I powered of the phone and powered it back up.It came on and worked perfectly. Then I press and hold the end key and all of a sudden it's acting like the down volume key and turning on and of the flash light.

Oh. I got you now the first post didn't explain it very well.

Are you answering from the lock screen or while using the device? I am trying to recreate this but I have not been able to yet. :D

Yeah, I did. I was hoping that they were going to open it soon. I have recently read though that it will not open till the fall so I will pull it again unless everyone wants it left in. It's not that large of a program.

I hope it will be found soon. I know Genix9 is working on another version for it.
