Hey BW, I think you said something about this before on another post, but am I correct that Vlingo doesn't work with this ROM? I have the beta installed and get as far as the set up screen where you say "Search concert tickets" and it just sits there.

Correct. Vlingo does not work on any WM6.5 ROM.

I have been working towards making installing programs and tweaks easier after each flash. With that in mind I bring you version 7.1. This versions integrates user customization by using a new installtion product made by Noonski over at XDA-Developers.com.

This item is called XDA_UC. It will allow you to place your theme, tweaks, cabs and other files on your storage card and have them installed automatically after a flash or hard reset. To get a better idea of what I am talking about please see this thread over at XDA-Developers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3611692

These files will need to be put in a folder in the root of your storage card. The folder is called XDA_UC.

For your theme to be used you will need to rename it to My.tsk and place it in the XDA_UC folder. Then on first boot your theme will be used.

At this time any cab files that you place in this folder will be installed to device memory. I am looking for a way to make it a bit more configurable. Hopefully this will come later.

Reg tweaks that you put in will need contain the following line at the top of the file "Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00", a line space must be included at the end of the file. If you look at the XDA-Devlopers thread I linked above you will see more information about this.

Now that I have done this there are some changes to the startup procedure. Please note the changes so you do not have issues.

You no longer need to tap on the start menu to have the ROM finish loading. This will be done automatically for you. Wait for about 30 seconds or so and you will see a customization popup that will let you know that customization is starting. You can tap on the countdown number to start or just let it count down. This will install any items that you have in the XDA_UC folder.

If you have no XDA_UC folder you will still see the customization popup. Tap on the countdown or let it finish. It will finish installation of the items I have placed in the ROM.

Once this has finished a popup screen will apear letting you know that the customizations have finished. OK out of this screen and you will be finished. Soft reset is not necessary but is recommended to make sure that all items have completly installed.

A new item installed in the dotFred Task Manager. It is used to import certain files and replaces the default Microsoft Task Manager. HTC Task Manager is still installed on this ROM. The dotFred Task Manager is much more powerful and includes many new features.

Other new items in the ROM.

PSShutXP - This provides a software utility to soft reset, shut down or turn off the back light of your device.

12MB pagepool - This provides more memory to the pagepool which helps to make the device faster and make all transitions smoother. It does reduce the Program Memory but it goes down to about 55MB right now which does not affect any usage of the device.

Version ID - This will now show which ROM of mine that you are using. This ROM will be BWRR71. Which stands for Blazingwolf RockRepublic 7.1. :D

It appears development is on hold for it and there are a few things broken on it... I am a bit clueless on cpr and mscr files - how to edit change configure what have you

or give me some guidance - I like the look and feel of it but I would like to have facebook added as a panel to it as well and a easier way to customize the programs, I am willing to paypal some money to the person who does this for me as its a pain.

Blaze, so I just flashed your rom with BAF toggle... but I can't seem to find it. It wasn't under the list in Settings, do I need to do anything to use the toggle? thanks!

baf toggle needs to be activited in the today screen options from the control panel, it cannot be used with titanium. so if you want to run titanium i suggest you get another gps toggle program that works independantly, like gpstoday from geoterrestrial.com. they have two versions, one as a today plugin and one as a standalone program. when installing you will get a warning that says your device resolution not supported or something like that, but just ignore it..

the i910 does not have video calling, so maybe you are in the wrong section since the i900 has its own area.

I'm not using that in my ROM. It would be best to ask for help in the WM6.5 goodies thread that is in the i900 forums.

Yep. It is not created by the ROM. You will need to do this your self and populate it with the things you want. :D

Thanks, I managed to get it working by removing things and just using different panels then the ones stocked which will work for now but thanks for the pointing me into the right direction.

BW, I just tried Adrynlyne's GPS fix/helper its not perfect but I think would make a Great addition to your rom! I was able to cold lock in about 30 sec where I have crappy reception with my Garmin GPS.
