BW, I just tried Adrynlyne's GPS fix/helper its not perfect but I think would make a Great addition to your rom! I was able to cold lock in about 30 sec where I have crappy reception with my Garmin GPS.

Yep. Tested it and I got a cold lock in Igo 8 in about a minute. So that is much faster than before. I will be posting a new version in a little bit. :D

This does negate the need for GPS Toggle. ;)

Earliest would be tomorrow. It is to late to get everything done and tested tonight. I have physical therapy tomorrow though so it will probably be in the afternoon.

GPS Toggle versions have not been updated. GPS Quick Position should actually be better then toggle. :D

Yup i just put 7.2 on my phone, it lock fast!! i didnt try google maps but i used bing. Thats sweet!! By the way, i tried the 7.1 with toggle prior to this release, but it did not seem to have the toggle program in it.. no need now, but maybe something went wrong there.

Oh 2 quick questions 1 is there any titanium theme that will make the scrolling tabs go horizontally(like m2d)

and 2 is there and way to make the clock always display other than in the taskbar.....

I guess I kind of want titainium but with an m2d look...any suggestions(short of installing m2d)

6.5 will never be official for the Omnia. The RTM build was 21234 so everything we are getting now are after 6.5. So we are working with 6.5.0.1, etc. Better and newer then the RTM. :D

No and no. To get what you want you will need M2d though even there the time will only display in the taskbar.

Out of curiosity....what does SYS and XIP stand for?

I have not been able to keep up the thread I'm afraid, but here is my situation. first, love the rom, like the sliders etc, very nice, and the "honeycomb" layout of the apps.

Problems:

I had the GPS working well in the CC20 Rom, but does not work now (just does not find the satellites in Windows pick mode or in Com8 57600 mode, which worked previously.

Rom I have installed is Flash.BW.RockRepublic5.1

Also seem to be having a digitizer problem, which is probably not related to anything, but if I run the alignment program it just keeps starting over and never accepts my inputs, even though they take when I push on them! Upper right hand corner of screen seems to be the achilles heel of usage (makes hitting those close X's almost impossible!)

Any insights would be great! (looks like I should wait to update until tomorrow?)

In the most basic sense, its the System files and settings for Windows Mobile. Each new build has different SYS and XIP files and settings that make up that build ;)

For the GPS: Did you go to Settings - Personal - Phone - Services - GPS - Location ON and do a soft reset?

For the Screen alignmet: The screen alignment registry settings are built into the ROM and shouldn't need to be changed. If you're experiencing mis-touches or your touches are off, chances are you have a faulty digitizer... :D I've heard they're available, and not too expensive either ;)

SYStem files and XIP stands for Execute In Place. Like necosino said they comprise the basic files needed for your device to work. ;)

Please update to version 8 which is online now and has a lot of fixes included in it. GPS should work out of the box assuming you have turned location to on in the phone services tab. There is also a new program included in version 8 called GPS Quick Position which should provide much quicker locks. In some cases locks are taking around 4 seconds. ;) This app was found by Adrynalyne.

If the screen alignment screen does not exit then screen taps are not being recognized in the correct location. Make sure nothing external is pressing on the screen when you try the alignment. It may be a necosino said and your digitizer is going bad. Try version 8 and see if that helps you.

Holy cow you have a ton of stuff....how do you like warcraft? Does it work on the 910 with all these updates...especially with this newest one?
