Guest argenys Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 Is there a way to make the Artesea Twitter work with CTwitter?
Guest strong sad Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 I just flashed to the Blazingwolf Rock and Republic ROM last night. It was about 2 am and I was playing around with settings and I somehow screwed up my data access. I can no longer get out to the internet on my phone. I know it is a settings issue somewhere. I've already spent 2 hours trying to figure out exactly how the settings should be but I never knew them to begin with so it makes it hard to tell if I am even going in the right direction. Someone want to point me in the right direction? I am basically starting from the beginning because I just deleted everything out of the Settings-->Connections-->My ISP
Guest iflyfish Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 try this one Panoramic.Calc.Pro.v2.0.8_cab.cab how do i install it?

Guest blazingwolf Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 (edited) First off, thanks to blazingwolf and all the helpful folks on this site for all of their hard work. Before stumbling on this site I didn't know anything about flashing or roms or anything like that, but your straightfoward instructions and all your help made it possible for a complete noob like me to update my omnia with no problems whatsoever. This rom is awesome and it feels like I have a new, vastly upgraded phone. I have two questions. First, a general question about reflashing my phone when you release updates to your rom. I see that a lot of people on this board flash roms quite often. I imagine that having to reset all of your settings, re-import your contacts (not that hard, but still) and re-install your programs (google maps, chess pro, etc) each time you flash would get tiresome. Is there an easy way to do this? Second, I'm having an issue with the ring volume. I turn the ringer volume down as low as it will go, and when I play samples of the rings from the settings menu the volume appears to be low, but when a phone actually comes in the ring is always at the maximum. I can't figure out if there's another volume setting somewhere that I'm missing, or what the problem is. Sorry if these have been addressed elsewhere, I looked around a bit and couldn't find an answer. Thanks again! Hello, glad to know you like the ROM. ;) 1. Version 8 comes with XDA_UC. This helps you to set up your phone after a new flash. It is pretty simple and I posted the instructions on how to use it earlier. Those can be found here in post #1104. (The site linking seems to be broken as it goes to the home page instead of the post) 2. Where are you turning the volume down at? Are you using any other software that affects the volume control? Guest sevymt Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 I love the rom. Its easy for me to navigate.....my only issue is no matter what setting I try, my GPS wont work. It had beeen working, but since flashing I cannot get my satelites. Any suggestions? I have the latest. by thee way I cant find the setting option for 911, to change that. Im new to flashing and have only done it a couple times. so I may be missing something obvious.

Guest sevymt Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 Thanks . I changed to location on. It still wont locate satelites. Im going to try outside. Previously I was able to use inside, but maybe for intial lock I should be outside.
Guest ChrisColumbus Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 Blazing u are the man.. I think this is the best rom yet.. I havent had that problem with hotmail either.. I dont know if the new version corrected it or whatever.. but everything seems to be working with hotmail and notifications... have you seen any problems with accuweather getting stuck on "connecting to accuweather" It does it sometimes and sometimes does not.. A good soft reset clears it out.. but is it mortscript that could be getting stuck..?? when it says connecting to accuweather, its not using data, so its not draining battery, it just will not update at all until the soft reset or I go in and force it to update.. have you seen this?? on the hotmail issue.. it is working perfectly from 0-1 emails arrived and so forth and Im am back to using "as items arrive" somehow the kink got worked out. .lol

Previously I was able to use inside, but maybe for intial lock I should be outside. Initial lock is usually the worst. So please try it outside and wait for 10 to 15 minutes. I have done nothing to GPS itself so it should still work. You can also try Quick GPS position. That might help but might not.

Must have been something in the new build or something as I did not fnd anything specific. I have never had an issue with connecting to Accuweather but I do so manually. There have been many issues with TitaniumWeather and auto updates. Do you have it auto updating?
Guest blazingwolf Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 (edited) Here is Neo Taskanium. For the life of me I can't get it to cab and work correctly so I have just zipped the files up. To install put all files in the Taskanium folder in Program Files/Taskanium. Then explore to the folder and tap TaskaniumInstall. You should be set. To uninstall explore to the Taskanium folder and tap on TaskaniumUninstall. Simple as that. Sorry it's not a cab file. If someone can cab it to where it works installing and uninstalling please let me know.BW_Neo_Taskanium.zip Edited July 4, 2009 by blazingwolf

Guest ChrisColumbus Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 yes it is with the auto updates.. like I stated though.. really not a big deal since its not draining the battery.. a manual update is generally fixing the problem...
Guest grondak Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 Sorry if this ends up being a double post, didn't see the last one pop up... Just wanted to say thank you to BW for all the hard work! Flashed the last few ROM's, it's like a new phone in many ways...thank you. Had a couple of questions, though. I've had a couple of issues with the i910 since I got it, and had been hoping an official update would fix them. Since it seems like that won't happen I was wondering if any ROM cookers had been looking into fixing the following issues: 1) when recording video, the audio is at least 150 ms ahead of the video, requiring various conversions and transfers to make it look right, very annoying 2) signal on the Omnia i910 seems weak when compared to other (simpler) Verizon phones that my friends have. not even sure it's possible to fix the amount of signal a phone sends/receives through a ROM update Thanks again, lookin' forward to the next update BW!
Guest joehero Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 How do I reconnect to the computer via ActiveSync after flashing to restore my contacts? Is this not possible? My Windows Mobile Device Center wont recognize my phone anymore. I hear the USB connect sound, but can't connect to the phone to sync.
Guest joehero Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 By the way, I love this ROM, you are the master!
Guest jaycarl Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 BW, I have read that you use and recommend spb keyboard. I have used it but prefer the standard KB. Only problem with the standard KB is that as far as I can tell it does not have the CTL+C or V function (copy, paste). Very frustrating when you want to paste an address in google maps. Is there a way to do this in the standard KB? If not where can I find Shokka keyboard so I can give it a try (looked everywhere)? BTW I flashed to v8 from v6 and again I am impressed with your work. Thanks
Guest blazingwolf Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 yes it is with the auto updates.. like I stated though.. really not a big deal since its not draining the battery.. a manual update is generally fixing the problem... OK. Sounds like another issue with the auto update feature. Doesn't seem like there is much I can do about it. One day when I finally understand scripting I might look in to it. ;)

Than you for the kind words. ;) 1. I have never noticed this but I don't use video very often. I'll see if it is happening to me. 2. Nothing I can do. Has everything to do with the design annd the radio of the phone. Also, remember that the bars are just a general idea of your signal strength. They are quite often wrong.

There is nothing special you should need to do to use activesync or WMDC again after a flash. I change nothing in this area. Try deleting your partnership. Restart both the PC and the device. Check your firewall settings to make sure the connection is being allowed.
