Guest blazingwolf Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 By the way, I love this ROM, you are the master! Thanks. ;)
Guest blazingwolf Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 BW, I have read that you use and recommend spb keyboard. I have used it but prefer the standard KB. Only problem with the standard KB is that as far as I can tell it does not have the CTL+C or V function (copy, paste). Very frustrating when you want to paste an address in google maps. Is there a way to do this in the standard KB? If not where can I find Shokka keyboard so I can give it a try (looked everywhere)? BTW I flashed to v8 from v6 and again I am impressed with your work. Thanks Not with the CC20 keyboard. They don't have it included. Shokkas keyboard will be no different. The standard MS keyboard does have this feature as well as Spb keyboard. You can also check FingerKeyboard though I am not sure if it is included or not. Thanks for the nice words. ;)

Guest blazingwolf Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 haha...just my nit picky comments...oh one more thing...could you make ftouchsl built into the Rom so we have kinetic scrolling right off the bat...and have noticed scrolling emails is kinda challenging...you have to kinda hold your finger down a lil to get it to start...hmm I don't have any plans to do this. You can put it in the XDA_UC folder on your storage card though and it will install automatically for you. ;) I am assuming you have read the post about user customization that is included in this ROM. :D Post #1104 if you have not.
Guest necosino Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 How do I reconnect to the computer via ActiveSync after flashing to restore my contacts? Is this not possible? My Windows Mobile Device Center wont recognize my phone anymore. I hear the USB connect sound, but can't connect to the phone to sync. You have to go back into the connection settings and re-check Allow USB Connections ;)
Guest blazingwolf Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 You have to go back into the connection settings and re-check Allow USB Connections ;) Yes, that is important.
Guest blazingwolf Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 With the fantastic work of of Noonski from XDA-Developers, XDA_UC now allows you to install programs to a storage card or My Storage with minimal activity from the user. :D This upgrade will be added to the next version of my ROM which, unless a new build emerges will probably come tomorrow. I also need to work on some more Neo panels and make some more icons the correct size. I will see if I can add the latest version of SkyFire and Bing too. ;)
Guest joehero Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 Adding Skyfire would be amazing! Is there a specific place where I would find the icons to a program I am putting into cLauncher? Google Maps for example. I have added it and Skyfire and cannot find icons for them anywhere on my device. Do they even exist?

Google Maps for example. I have added it and Skyfire and cannot find icons for them anywhere on my device. Do they even exist? SkyFire is already in the ROM. I would be updating it to the latest version. Icons for CLauncher have to be added by you. Some have been provided and can be found in program files/clauncher.
Guest sevymt Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 I got the intial lock on the gps outside and then it also worked inside. Thanks for a great ROM! Love the Wolf! Happy 4th to all!
Guest joehero Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 I am seriously loving this ROM. Doing some reading I have figured out how to add CFacebook to it, but the CAB i found is titanium style. Is there an easy way to switch it to Neo? Can you point me in the right direction?

Porting a panel to Neo is rather simple. It is making changes to the xml file in the panel. You can use other Neo panels as examples of what needs to be done. There is no instructions on how to do it though.
Guest iflyfish Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 hey blazingwolf how can i start to learn how to start making my own rom?
Guest aace Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 After days of work and a lot of fantastic help from Adrynalyne (he got the XIP to work. :o ) here is my Rock and Republic WM6.5 ROM. This ROM is built with the SYS and XIP of 23001, which is the latest release of WM6.5. ;) Please remember that you flash at your own risk and I am not responsible for any bad things that happen to your device. Now turn your device off by holding the power button until you see the shutdown gif. Once your device is shutdown plug it in to your pc. Now turn your device back on by pressing and holding the power button. UMDL should detect your device and start loading the new ROM on to your device. 6-30-09: Updated SYS and XIP. 6-29-09: Added GPS Quick Position found by Adrynalyne. :D 6-28-09: User customization, 12MB Pagepool, new programs. Sorry - i'm newbie to all of this but just ot tired of waiting for vz to do right and get it togther. I've been following theards here and other (ppcgeeks) on diff. ROMs and now totally confused on which or who's rom to try out - it's GREAT so much choices - so still "shopping" (which one are latest version / revs?); gathering up all info (comparison between roms) and courage (balls) to dive into it. My question though is have any one tried to flash their Omnia i910 using Macbook Pro OSX (Tiger - 10.4.11) with Parallel and XP Pro SP3? I do use MS Activseync 4.5 (5096) to sync my ppc and Outlook (Office 2007). Sorry if this should have been another thread - i did not find one as well.... Again thanks! aace

Guest blazingwolf Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 Well, a new build did drop. Still working all of the kinks out so the release will be delayed. Hope every one understands. ;)
Guest Wildman3064132 Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 For everyone reflashing every week what do you use to back stuff up? Is there a way to back up almost all your settings and not just messages and emails? I use PPC Pim backup, but is there something to save your menu order, M2D settings, etc for an easier transition? If you want a good application for this I suggest SPB Backup, I use it all the time and what I love about it is that it has a feature that checks system for ROM updates and give you option to run in ROM update modes that only copies the safe files to restore, like contacts, emails and text messages, all email and text message settings and some activation regitries for some applications so when you reinstall its already activates applications.. Also it has a check list under custom mode that let you restore single files without effecting system. You can download trial and see how it works for you froma number of software sites or even SPB homepage.. Hope this helps..

Guest iflyfish Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 (edited) http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=68238 thanks and do you know how i can sync my gmail with my phone? Edited July 6, 2009 by iflyfish
Guest strong sad Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 Yeah the hard reset worked, I did have some weird issues after the hard reset. The screen would freeze up and the whole phone was running extremely slow. I couldn't power it off either, I had to take the battery out. It still locks up every once and a while but I might just do another hard reset to see if that fixes it. To get my GPS working I had switch the baud rate to 56000 but it has a hard time locking on when I am anywhere indoors.
Guest jaycarl Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 Well, a new build did drop. Still working all of the kinks out so the release will be delayed. Hope every one understands. ;) Take your time BW. v8 seems to be working rock solid which is the reason people can and will happily wait. I use my Omnia for business so I only have time once a month to flash. BTW my associates can't get over the new Rom. They wanted me to hook up their phones but I'm not that nice of a person plus all my free time is devoted to the family. Besides I believe in the old "Teach a man how to fish" saying. I was reading about the new digitizer for the Omnia touchscreen that is alot more responsive. Have you changed yours yet? If so what do you think about it? Thanks
Guest JDawg183 Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 Blazin, I was just wondering if there was any chance we could get the original Samsung Clock put back into the ROM. I am using 7.1 and reinstalled the clock from Shokka and it worked fine for the first few days, but I turned it off for the weekend and turned it back on last night, then it didnt go off this morning. I am wondering if maybe the I900 had a few differences in the file or something. if you could put that back in, it would be much appreciated! Thanks!
