Guest Inbreakable Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 I have tried every rom on this site and I absolutely love the way you set up the start menu buttons which really won me over... I was wondering if you noticed that typing in WM6.5 is WAYYY slower at least on my omnia to the point were it doesn't input some of the letters i press when i start typing faster. I am back with wm6.1 right now =[ almost makes me cry b/c ur 6.5 looks amazing. I also noticed it runs slow with spb mobile shell v3. Any hints to make it any faster?
Guest pallen Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 I believe iflyfish is talking about this one. I wouldn't mind having it either if you would like to put it in your next rom. I think shokka9 made it but don't quote me. Actually, I like the regular Samsung keyboard. I was a big fan of bgill55's rom, but I came back to this one mainly because of the keyboard - the black just didnt appeal to me, and I like the pop-up letters on touch of the new version. An option to switch back and forth would be cool though.

Guest BrianPick Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 Maybe I just have something reltaed to my device. I am using the clasic titanium and not neo. The icon is only missing on the condensed panel and not when it is expanded and only after I connect to my exchange server via OWA does this happen. I have attached a screen and a quick video to show you what is going on. Thanks for helping. I know you have a thousand questions a day. I am just kind of bumping this to the new page. Doe this screen help ring a bell ?

Well, now I know what you are talking about. ;) That is a bug with CHome that I can't fix. I've tried. There is a work around which is to use a static image. I don't like the work around because it removes some functionality which is the icon highlight upon reception of an email. The fix is relatively simple as all you need to do is edit the Titanium_240_400.cpr. Look for this line in the Notificationscondensed area.
Then change it to look similar to this:
Some things you will need to change in that line like the left and top locations and the size and name of the icon you want to use.
Guest blazingwolf Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 I also had a problem with the conversation length with the original ROM. Mine got so big it would not allow me to send any texts out of my phone but I could receive texts. Every single text I sent I got the notification that the text could not be received. I don't have the problem any more because I no longer have a gf and I reflash my phone often enough to not have to worry about them getting that big. I think this is a design flaw in the Omnia and unless someone creates a program to manage the text messaging inbox size then we just have to find other ways to deal. So it sounds like a storage issue then. If you have to many messages it kills things. I never send that many messages which is why I have never encountered it. Not sure I can help but I will see if I can find something.

Sorry for all the hooba joob. I get around it by using message center and will porbably just stick with that until a solution arises. Just as an FYI other than this issue your ROM is working so well that I have flashed my girlfriends Omnia. She has not patience for bugginess and I have not heard a complaint from her. She in no way tinkers with her device as much as we do and i think that is a better real world test of how it works. I break things but usually I did it on my own. Thanks for all the responses. Any idea when we will se another ROM ? I know you have plenty of folks going into cold shakes waiting the next fix. :D

Is that with the standard keyboard? I don't use it as I don't like that keyboard. I use Spb keyboard but I don't know if that will fix your issue or not. Slowness with MS3? How so? I have used it on mine before and it seems OK to me.

I need to work on more panels for the Neo theme. I also need to play with the new build that just dropped. So I will be busy. ;) Glad to hear the ROM is working well on yours and your girlfriends ROM. :D

We all need to make sure you are able to stock those Beers, I will see to it I do my part when I get home$$. I know it's a little of topic but if you lean toward the dark stuff, I have recently discovered (right under my nose) New Belgium Brewing Co's 1554 Enlightened Black Ale. I have been seeing it but had dismissed it because I saw it first at a gas station beside the Butwiper and other swill. Tried it the other night and I was wrong. Turns out this is a reporduction of a Dutch Abby formula that the brewer traveled to Holland to discover. If it is availble in your area you should give it a try, assuming you had not already, amoungst my friends I was the last to know. Edited July 9, 2009 by BrianPick

Guest blazingwolf Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 (edited) So here is another Neo panel. Genix9 new version of CMultiClock. Seems to work a lot better then the .6 version. ;)Genix9_CMultiClock_Neo_0.9.1_WQVGA.cab Edited July 9, 2009 by blazingwolf
Guest Gaurhoth Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 I tried searching around and came up empty. Where do I start looking to customize the lock screen? I was using Wozzer's rom and moved over blazingwolf's but I don't care for the lock slider being at the bottom. They way I hold my omnia, the thumb naturally falls closer to the top. Hopefully it's not harder than it needs to be ;) Thanks! Gaurhoth

Guest dmcnado Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 Hey, BW. Nice rom! I'm esp intrigued by your incorporation of the XDA_UC autoconfiguration (I've been using Sashimi). Do you have any comment on the differences between the two? Any chance of a screen shot of the available memory/storage of your latest rom? Thanks!

I like XDA_UC because it starts immediately after the first boot. I don't have to reinstall Sashimi or start a file to get it installing. With this version of XDA_UC you can install things to your SD card or My Storage. To me it is just easier. Here is a screenshot of my memory after installing 11 programs on to my device. They auto install with XDA_UC. ;)
Guest aace Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 After days of work and a lot of fantastic help from Adrynalyne (he got the XIP to work. :D ) here is my Rock and Republic WM6.5 ROM. This ROM is built with the SYS and XIP of 23003, which is the latest release of WM6.5. ;) Please remember that you flash at your own risk and I am not responsible for any bad things that happen to your device. Hey Blaze - what a ROM you cooked up - just finished installing v9 and go thru the choices you have available- mind blowing! Thank you so much - will send pepsi tonight from home. Quick question - that xda thing... not sure how to use it... my head still spinning from joy of succesfull flash :) thanks again!

Guest trunks67 Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 First time trying out your roms. V9 is very smooth great work!!
Guest Ruffroc02 Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 wow yes that is it. thanks Ruffroc02 For those who can't wait for the next rom to have the Shokka9 keyboard, here is the link to download it. http://www.samsung-omnia.org/third-party-s..._xt9_keyboards/ Iflyfish: Do you remember the dial pad that was in Wozzer's latest rom? I think it was from HTC. It was black and red buttons and had spaces in between. I can't remember if it was from Wozzer's or Adrynalyn's latest rom. I done flash this thing so much I forgot who had what.
