[ROM] blazingwolf Rock and Republic WM6.5 v10

Hey Blaze got the new ROM up and running for 2 days, nice, very nice. Just a couple questions:

1. I'm getting a lot of dialing #777 broadband connection, almost everytime I wake my phone I'm getting the annoying drop-down connection message. Don't know if this is normal or if the stock ROM just did it in the background, but I never saw it do it this much. The longest connection time I've seen since the new ROM is 20 min.

2. I have active sync with gmail for contacts, calendar. Also checking two email accounts every hour, making <5 calls per day, couple texts, no GPS or Wi-Fi and my phone is dead / 1bar after 8-10 hr. Anyone else having this issue, or am I just expecting too much from this battery.

Something else to try. Look here

Will help minimize unneccessary time spent connected. Also good for those without unlimited data plans.

Please follow the advice from Draconius, Tim-H and monsterpt gave and see if it helps.

Blazingwolf, thanks for the ROM. so far it has the potential to be the most stable of all the available 6.5s.

One issue is the alignment of the panels in landscape. Some of the lettering is all the way to the left, some is spaced over a bit. - may need to tweak the cpr a bit - I'm not gonna bother cuz I only use 240x400 just wanted to give you a heads up.

I will look in to the landscape issue you mentioned. I haven't noticed it before but I don't use landscape much either.

I found 2 small issues. The Batti link in the start menu is linked to the wrong item. It should lead to the settings but instead it leads to the exe. You can get to the settings by tapping on the battery line. <_<

The second is the top hard key (Main Menu Key) should be link to Advanced Config but it is broken. Just re-associate the key by reassigning it and then change it back to Advanced Config.

Mine already does go to Advanced Config.

Is there a way to take the Task Manager icon/ button off the top menu bar? I use it too much and never use the stylus, I would rather just have it assigned to a button.

Is there a way to fix the Batti link under start, I could just tap the battery icon to start with. If it doesn't work I would rather not have it cluttering up my menu.

All in all, this is by far my favorite ROM to date. Great Job.

Those issues have been fixed in my latest ROM. The task manager icon in the task bar is clickable by the thumb (that's how I use it). However, if you wish to remove it it an be removed by going to Start/Settings/System/TaskManager. There is a setting in that config to remove it.

Think I may have found an issue.. My Voicemail notification keeps saying I have 1 v-mail when I have none.. I have waited almost a day, called VMail 3 times to make sure there are no voicemails, and reset the phone like 5 times.. Any ideas?

This is usually a system issue and not a ROM issue. A fix I have seen before is to leave yourself a voicemail. Wait a little bit and then delete that voicemail.

Blazingwolf - switched over to 6.5 to play with while I figure out what is wrong with MS and ring tones not working...

Probably a dumb question, but I don't really find the wm 6.5 today screen interface (is that what is called Chrome? vs Titanium...) to be the nice .... certainly prefer Mobile Shell...

Without knowing how much memory that function takes - I am musing whether or not a build without it could be done and would the trouble be worth the additional space savings... In your Manilla build do you specifically pull those files?

Thanks for the advise, went to the website, but the No Data program isn't what I was looking for. I have unlimited data and its worked flawlessly since December, meaning data session / broadband was more or less always connected. When I clicked the Ev" button in tool bar, sometimes time would be several days connected. However with WM6.5, everytime I wake phone just to browse any new emails, google maps or most anything for that matter, I always get the drop down and pause during connecting #777. I want it to stay connected and not have to re-connect everytime I wake it.

Is anyone else having this same issue with data session not staying connected?

Or is this normal for the data session/broadband to disconnect whenever screen turns off?

Wow Blazingwolf, AWESOME ROM! I just took the plunge and went from slight mods to the full ROM update and I want to thank you for the amazing work you've put into this. I've wanted to try this for awhile but never found a more helpful and easy to follow guide.

Titanium (Chome is the name of the file in the SYS folder which you guys don't see) doesn't take up that much space unless you add a lot to it. No reason you can't install MS3 on this ROM. You can check and see if it fixes your ringtone issue. <_<

The theory there is if data is not always connected your battery life will be better. What do you have installed on the device?

Do you have Titanium weather set to update automatically? It has been known to cause data connection issues. There is a hack to get rid of the data connection bubble. I don't know it off the top of my head though so I will need to look for it.
