Guest treid71 Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Thanks Man I appreciate the kind words! :D One thing I did notice is I am showing a red X icon next to my contacts on the Favorite People Plugin. Not a big deal but if anyone knows a fix it would be much appreciated.
Guest barnr Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 you right it isnt in there i could have sworn i saw it, but give this reg hack a try. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\A877d663...\ delete the WAV file in there that should kill the sound. I havent tested it cause my battery is at a full charge I'll let you know when my battery dies in a while. Received an error when trying to add to ATcontacts. I get "An unexpected error has occurred in ATcontacts.exe" when I try to add people to the list of contacts. I was able to add two people when I first booted up the new ROM but now I get this error every time. Gonna try a soft reset to see what happens. So I did a soft reset and now only one contact appears and there is no longer an option to add contacts. Weird.

Guest whitj Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 After a day with your 2.4 titanium Rom, everything seemed to be working smoothly, however it just reinforced the fact to me that I HATE TITANIUM! I just love how organized M2d is. SMS woke up my phone every time, which was great, now I'm flashing to your 2.4 M2d with all the excitement of a school girl with brand new pig tails! or are they handle bars??? Anyways, THANKS Bga, you're by far my favorite chef in the 6.5 kitchen, and I salute you for it!

Guest whitj Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 I'm in the process of installing all the usuals after a new flash, and I was wondering what you think about including the FTouchSL into the builds. I would never run a rom without it after using it for a while. Otherwise everything is going smoothly. Loving the return to standard M2d background. Makes the start menu real easy to read. Oh, second thought, can you include the wireless fix to enable the G band for the wifi? would save a few steps installing SKTools to tune it up. Again, thanks for all the work!

FtouchSL is not a free program so i cant include it, well i could but it would just be the demo, and i cant ask all my users to purchase the App. I U se it as well by the way. ill look into that wireless fix you were talking about, not quitw sure what that is but ill do some home work

And I didn't know that FTouchSL wasn't a free program, lol, I just found it online and installed it. I've never actually run the program before, as I've heard it can actually screw up the scrolling with 6.5, but I definitely understand why you don't include it now. One thing I'm running into currently is that I can't unzip files like I used to be able to. I have downloaded through PIE the zipped cab file for batti 2.4, but inside File explorer it doesn't recognize the file type as a zipped folder and wants me to run an associated program to open the folder (ie winzip or whatever is equivalent on phones.) Does your brilliance know what's going on here? also, I can give you the cab for SKTools if you want to test out the G-band fix yourself
Guest jschuk Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 v2.4 Online!! check first post I am very new to Windows Mobile, so I am making an assumption based on a Windows computer. Your new build shows ~49MB of free memory, quite a bit less than previous version. Is that due to the increase of the paging file size? I assume that shouldn't affect performance as programs will load into that paging file as well? I am currently using your 21806 build and have been very happy with it. I was using another person's 21725 (or 21728?) build and it locked up frequently. I have had the phone for a little over a month now (my 1st smartphone) and love this site and the information you and others share on it. Jason

Jason yeah you will notice that the program memory is at 90.09 instead of the 97mb which it was before, this is because i increased the pagepool size to 15mb! Deep in the depths of the operating system of your device, there is something called the 'PagePool'. Without going into too much detail (and as I understand it!), the PagePool is a special area of memory reserved for loading apps into from ROM. This PagePool is a lot faster than ROM, so when things are executed from this 'cache' instead, the performance of a device will be quicker. i hopes that sheds some light!

I install Resco explorer right off the bat and that handles all my zip files and cab files so i will HR and see if i can duplicate your issue
Guest Mercuie Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Thank you for all your work on these 6.5 roms. I been flashing my phone way more then I should with each of your updates. I recently just flashed up to your newest version, and have ran into a rather annoying bug maybe. My text screen tends to just lock up. When I open it, it works fine at first, I can usually open and close a thread, but after I close a text I can’t close the text window at all. Its awkward because I can still select texts and use the menus, but it won’t close, and it eventually runs into a crawl and the only way to get it to stop is to end the task after I can get it to pop up. I don’t have this problem on any of your past roms and it’s doing it stock without me installing anything. I was reading to see if anybody else had this problem but nobody has said anything so I thought I would chime in. Apparently it might just be me. Anyway I’m just running your regular version. Anyway I guess I’ll just flash back. Love the theme in this one though, minus the grey backgrounds instead of white. Keep up the great work, I really do enjoy all the updates (both rom wise and forum replies) and the very stableness that seems to be pretty unique to you.

First, it tweaks for a driver not on the system. Second, if the Omnia were in b mode, it would not connect to a G only set router. In which case, it does. The zip mobile issue is a problem with Office in 6.5. It showed up a few builds ago, and has hung on for dear life. Edited June 23, 2009 by Adrynalyne
