I guess I'll put in my 2 cents for what it's worth. I was using Bgill's 2.61 ROM, and I was getting daily lockups, sometimes multiple times daily. I skipped to 3.1, and I'm still having the same problem. The only thing I have installed on 3.1 is Total Commander, and the only thing I installed on the 2.61 was FingerKbd and Total Commander. The only other thing I can think of that wasn't part of the ROM was an mp3 ringtone that I moved to the My Ringtones directory (312.7k file). I did install Personalizer as well, which was included in the ROM. One other thing I have noticed on both versions is that my WiFi connection will start up automatically at random, and I haven't even attempted to configure my WiFi connection on either ROM version. It also would not let me turn off the WiFi when it started. Lockups seem to happen in conjunction with an incoming call or text message, as my screen has been frozen on an incoming call screen a few times, or right after I've sent a text and somebody has replied back to me (which I didn't get til I reset the phone).

I love the look and feel of these ROMs, and kudos to BGill for putting all the hard work into them. I hope my input helps...

I used to get lockups when using the original rom (1 every day) but after flashing to blazingwolfs v6 and now v8 I have not experienced one lockup.

@sessionthree, did you experience any lockups using BW rom?

First off; I have been flashing Bgill's ROM's since his first. The series 3 ROM seems completely stable to me. I have Resco Explorer, Inesoft Phone, hacked 1% battery driver, Pocket Informant, and several other titles installed... still without problem.

Did you do a "clean install?" That is, did you reinstall your software after the flash from cab files, or did you use a "restore" application (Sprite, Resco, SBP, etc.)? I strongly recommend reinstalling apps after a flash from scratch. You can bet on having issues from an "upgrade" restore process after ROM flash.

Take it from one who has made that mistake before.

Thanks for a nice ROM! Switched from BW 7 to BG 3.2 and enjoying it ;) Quick question: I selected "Internet Calling" to be displayed on the Today screen but nothing appears, even after a hard reset. Is it simply not available?

I did a hard reset after the flash and only installed the wireless sync client. Still get lockups. I may try another rom just as a datapoint but I really like this one.

Interesting, I just had it lock up while the windows racetrack animation was running. The phone quit responding to all input but animation kept going. That points pretty hard at a running process going wonky. Not sure how to debug it but it's a data point.

Bumping last question re: Internet Calling in Today screen. I'll also add an observation to jaycemil's experiences.

I have noticed some odd sluggishness (not quite "lockup", though) when still connected to ActiveSync (at least when a file explorer window was open to the Windows directory on the Omnia), but nothing too serious. Everything seems fine to me once completely disconnected from PC (and my rule of thumb is never leave connected unless there's a good reason). Was your lockup when still connected? Also, keep in mind that it takes a very long time the first time after flash or hard reset, and should be allowed to do so (should wait for multi-colored Windows dots to dissappear).

Just want to chime in that my phone has been very stable with Bg's 3.0 M2D. I'm also running WMwifirouter (for hours at a time) and often run the Citrix ICA client for extended periods of time. The *only* issue I've had is some corruption of the graphics after ending a phone call. Simply hitting the end hard key again brings the screen back to normal. I'm assuming this is a M2D issue. But, as far as stability, it's been rock solid.

Hey bgill I have your 3.2 Rom installed and it seems like my touch sensitivity is out of whack, I have to press and hold on the screen to select something can't just do a quick tap. How can I fix this? <<<NEVERMIND>>>

Did a HS and everythings fine now!

using the same version rom here and wanted to say how great it is... almost don't wanna flash to the 3.1 (since there isnt a 3.2 version yet w/ M2D.....). And battery life and sluggishness were some of my concerns back in the 2.6 range but i see none of that now. Just wanted to say again how much i appreciate the hard work!!!

Tampaboy: I've had this problem with all of the 6.5 ROMs I've tried on the Omnia. When you said HS did you mean a hard reset? I've just flashed to Bgill55's 3.2 ROM and did a hard reset after the flash. Will see if that makes any difference myself.

Otherwise, if you come across anything to fix this alignment issue, let me/us know!

Ya I did a hard reset and it was working for a lil while now it's doing the same thing. In any Folder I can't select without holding down then releasing the screen, will not allow just a quick tap or even a press. Bgill please help us!! ;) Your work is greatly appreciated!! I will be donating sometime soon to for you hard efforts I promise. Besides this issue the rom is totally perfect!!

I was using i think a BW Rom and this happened to me and he made me a .cab to fix it. I'm scouring for in in BW's i910 Rom page when I find it i'll let you know chimp.

..Still Looking...

Too anybody that is having touch sensitivity issues try this... THANKS GOES TO BlazingWolf!! :D

Edit the follow registry section and see if it helps.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GWE\Touch\Filter]

"MinimumTapTime"=dword:28

Change the dword to 0 wait for about 30 seconds and then soft reset.

or install this cab http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=2190424...04e75f6e8ebb871

Have you guys tried this hack? I haven't tried with WM 6.5 or this ROM but it worked a charm with 6.1. Just be sure to back up your registry in case this isn't working with WM 6.5:

* Improve Touch Sensitivity

	[ H K E Y _ L O C A L _ M A C H I N E \ \ H A R D W A R E \ D E V I C E M A P \ T O U C H ]

	” C l i c k ” = d w o r d : set to 2000

	[ H K E Y _ L O C A L _ M A C H I N E \ \ H A R D W A R E \ D E V I C E M A P \ T O U C H ]

	” D o w n U p ” = d w o r d : set to 750

	soft reset required

	1. Open your Registry Editor(PHM Registry Editor)

	2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/HARDWARE/DEVICEMAP/TOUCH/

	3. Click on CalibrationData

	4. Value Data change to > 519,503 177,881 182,129 847,127 849,872

I'm running the latest 3.2 standard ROM and have added my own installation of M2D and M2DC (configurator for M2D) and just took a trip to the beach and used my Garmin Mobile XT and sent and received text messages the whole while without any issues. I did do a hard reset before I installed the M2D software, after flashing, including the storage card. I think people having stability issues is related to either your storage card containing old files or the 3dr party software you are using....I have found some bugs even in M2D themes that litereally froze my phone every time, such as the AlienX theme!

Use this link to download the M2D software:

http://winmo.sztupy.hu/m2daio/Manila2D%201...by%20SztupY.cab

Then install this M2DC to configure your TouchFLO:

http://manilla2dcustomizer.googlecode.com/...C_v0.29.235.CAB

After you install this you will create a 'Themes' folder in your Program Files/M2DC folder, just copy your themes here.

Hope this helps, my phone is running great with this configuration

Well, just to get me off the radar. I flashed your M2D 3.1 this morning and haven't touched it. Haven't had a lockup all day which, unless the debugging flakiness fairies are screwing with me, says it's definitely something I'm installing. I'll add one thing a day and see if I can pin it down. Thanks again for an awesome rom.

ok let me speak some knowledge here or try to at least!

Everyone with lock up issues you have to speak up i had no idea lock ups were occurring, I cn only fix what has been brought to my attention, or if its something that i notice on the phone. Yes i have had lock ups here and there but no more than i did on the stock CC20 rom, and thats what it comes down to. the few of that are cooking and releasing roms are using Firmware that was leaked, for a 6.1 OS, we then were able to get 6.5 to work on our omnias. Granted we are using build that were released not to the public but to testers fot HTC phones we have to port the XIP and the SYS for it even to work on our phones. So in the end what you have is a frakenrom half 6.1 half 6.5 part HTC part omnia so lock up are inevitable, with all those factors I think that this Rom is not to shabby!

Every time a build gets leaked its a gamble, MS is trying new stuff and giving it to the testers some stuff is great others is garbage!

If there is problems i can ussaly fix it sometimes i cant but between Adryn, BW and myself there is always a fix around the corner!!!

on flashing new roms Midiwriter has nailed it, if you are using any form of back up for programs or reg hacks and then you bavk it up to a new rom stuff will get broken, sometimes the new SYS doesn't agree with what you are backing up or a program i have loaded or a reg hack i have cooked in to fix stuff gets overwitten and you will have a bug!

So this is what i do, i use My phone for cantacts and texts! Everything else is on my storage card and i just reinstall after flash, im up and running within 5 mins. also some programs dont play well with 6.5 for example Pone Ex doesnt get along with 6.5 lock screen at all!!

ok enough ranting all address issues and report what i find

Happy Flashing

I don't recall ever having a lockup with BlazingWolf's roms. I may have to switch back to BW because my wife's phone locked up today as she was hanging up from talking to me. She has bgill's 3.2 rom and no other software at all. Mine locked up this morning on the today screen (same rom), but ran fine for the rest of the day.

I'm sitting here looking at my wife's phone. It's locked up on the dialer screen. The volume control is showing (she may have hit one of the volume adjusts keys just as she hung up). It still says connected, but it obviously is not. The phone is unresponsive and I'll have to remove the battery to unlock it. I can tell the CPU is doing something because that area of the phone is quite warm to the touch.

And before anyone asks, I did a full hard reset on both of these phones before installing 3.2.
