Guest mamuco Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 Be sure that when you flash over to any of the cooked ROMs that you SELECT PDA and not unified image. Also Bgill's roms are compressed with 7zip. sou will need that to decompress and Bin file. In umdl click on PDA then select the bin file. otherwise the procedure is the same. 7 zip files unlock just fine with winrar for me:)
Guest Carmel Abela Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 red under the start menu? what are you talking about? Mine went blue for some unknown reason. I haven't been able to figure out how to change it. I thought maybe theme maker would allow me to change the color but theme maker doesn't want to launch.

Guest RwP1138 Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 that dude has a attention to detail he posted all that just to ask how to get the red out
Guest snkeyez95 Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 I know this is more of a Win 6.5 question rather than a specific ROM question...But I'll ask anyways. Is there a way to have your programs sorted by most recently or most commonly used?
Guest aeroclown Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 So far, I'm having a lot of problems with 3.4 that I didn't have with any past cooked ROM. However, I can't say for certain they're ROM related. Each of the following problems have occurred more than once since I flashed Friday night: 1) Accelerometer stopped working. It was working at first, then at some point, it just stropped rotating the screen, on all programs. 2) GPS would not get a fix at all. This was with Adrynalyn's patched HTC QuickGPS installed and updated. Let it sit half an hour, no lock. 3) Lost sound in the ear speaker. I would call out, and after seeing connected in the dialer skin, I'd put it up to my ear and hear nothing, not even the hiss of the speaker. All of these were fixed immediately after a soft reset. I can't say they happened concurrently, as once I found one problem, I soft-reset right away. The good news? Well, after the flash, Youtube's app works again! Maybe try a Hard reset or reflashing your device. I haven't had that yet, but then again I did just flash this morning.

I am going to flash the phone, just might wait til I am done using it as a phone, can it still be flashed if it's deactivated? and does the GPS work while the phone isn't active?

Is there a way to have your programs sorted by most recently or most commonly used? yup.... in start menu, when you use a program, keep your finger on it.. then press move to top. that way all the proggies you use will be at the top.
Guest jaycarl Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 (edited) I know this is more of a Win 6.5 question rather than a specific ROM question...But I'll ask anyways. Is there a way to have your programs sorted by most recently or most commonly used? The only way I know how to do this and it works very well is by using spb Mobile shell 3.1 (MS3). Any program you use will automatically list first under Launch. Example: click on Opera, Opera is first in Launch, click on Gmaps, Gmaps is listed first in Launch Opera is now second in list. Guest mikentammy610 Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 AWESOME ROM.... Probably already been asked but is there a radar file list to edit with notepad for titanium weather like weather panel had instead of typing in each link to an image... Copy and pasting images links with notepad on the pc is so much easier... THANKS
Guest necosino Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 13MB page pool!? That's just insane...
Guest Carmel Abela Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Question, What happened to the finger friendly menus? I just noticed they are back to the old style (like WM 6.1). I liked the finger friendliness of the 3.1 rom and somehow with 3.4 they are gone. Is this a config option or have they been removed or is my install boned up? Thanks, Carmel
Guest jamesstone Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 The only problem I had with the 3.4 M2D rom, was yesterday. I had the usual missed phone call without any notification I had a call until the voice mail alert pops up. Then when I listened to it the sound faded out toward the end chopping off the message. This happpened on all three voicemails. Two saved and one that just came in. Happened around 4:30pm.

I recall yesterday getting a voicemail w/ no missed call indicator... but I just figured I was out of range at the moment the call came in. But when I heard the VM, it came in just fine. And since then I've gotten a few missed calls that actually show up on the missed call section.
Guest kidrocking79 Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 13MB page pool!? That's just insane... can anyone explain what the difference is.. 12mb page pool, 13...10... etc.. what is the page pool??? do we want more??? less??? etc?

Guest bga7x Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 can anyone explain what the difference is.. 12mb page pool, 13...10... etc.. what is the page pool??? do we want more??? less??? etc? pagepool lives in RAM and works like cache, low pagepool makes your device noticeably slower. RAMdisk is a place to store any kind of files just like storage card, just not removable. It's a bit more volatile, shorting the battery contacts will remove its contents. So increasing the Pagepool give a boot to the RAM make programs load a little faster. but there is a cost, it takes from the free Program memory, default is 8mb so that leaves you with about 97mb of program storage. 3.4 i bumped it up to 13mb so the total prgram memoery dropped to 92.10mb. i think between 12 to 13 is ideal anymore is kinda to much, do to memory leaks! thats page pool in a nut shell!
Guest Scott6 Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 I use your 3.2 and soon to be 3.4 rom with SPB MS3, and without the theme editor, I cannot change the SPB to black.. Any way around this? I can click another color in SMP theme but it changes for a sec and then jumps back to blue. Also, anyway to make the quick menue stay when at the SPB home screens? It did on 3.0 but on 3.2.
Guest Carmel Abela Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 did you add a theme? cause im running 3.4 and they are still there! Nope, not intentionally, anyway. I'm doing a hard reset right now to see if that makes a diff. btw, am I supposed to do a hard reset after I flash up to one of your new releases?
