i've used both fring and skype on my omnia. Both work fine, but in australia because of how fring works, you will never be able to use it to call anyone. The latency bounces your call from australia overseas to america (or wherever the servers are for fring) and then back to skype and then to australia to whoever you call. Pretty much the laggiest thing ever.

But for messaging I like how fring works, but I prefer skype. Fring seems to use less battery then skype though from my experience. (not sure if its a bug but my phone runs hot all the time and burns through the battery in about 10 hours on standby on skype)

I have tried fring, but it hang the phone when trying to exit.

Overall experience was that it still unstable.

I used fring with N95 and had a very good experience.

Unfortunately, on Omnia it does not work well.

Inspite of the poor UI, Nimbuzz is still the best all-in-one, feature-riched messaging client on the planet.

Other than ability to send video, picture and files, No other client support avatar and voice call for skype, window live messenger (msn) and yahoo messenger like Nimbuzz

Nimbuzz also support popular social network like facebook chat, myspace and soon-to-be-world-big-thing twitter

Forget about fring and palmringo
