I'm just stuck with one problem: can't get the Honeycomb menu and the boot up setup working. Everything else works fine. Problems: Boot up setup does not even show up Honeycomb just shows a Today Icon and nothing else.. Can anybody help me? And what about extracting ROMs with the executor, how can I dump the SYS folder? Thanks a lot for your great work...!!! Just to help anybody else who might have this kind of problems. I was really hard work. Thanks for your help anyways. Anyone having a solution for the SMS problem? Guest smaury Posted July 20, 2009 Report Share Posted July 20, 2009 I'v some problem cooking 23007 ROM DXID1 based... I've ported the SYS by deleting DPI192 folders and puting DPI96 folders... I've took th ported XIP from an other ROM by it extracting with i900EXEcutor 2.0 I've translated all in ITA (MUIs, initflashfiles.dat), i've changed values in MUI's rgu from 410 to 409. When i flash my omnia all sims works fine, but at welcome center starts only calibration and then it asks me the pin and it repeat it every boot! Where i made a mistake?? THANKS IN ADVANCE! If you download the 23007 for the post linked in first post you have to port the SYS from DPI 102 to DPI 96 and you have to port the XIP too... Guest defaultBR Posted July 20, 2009 Report Share Posted July 20, 2009 (edited) This is how to extracted the XIP 23007 or others from cooked rom: Download the RomInstaller.EXE Download Pako i900Executor.exe (V2.0 Stick in forum) Open i900executor EXE -> Disassemble Select PDA and Click GO ------ You have the PDA.bin so now you can get the XIP.bin Open i900Executor, go to PDA -> OTHER Select the PDA.BIN in the first ... after the first arrow, mark XIP.bin and click GO! so you will have the XIP.bin of the build version of the rom :D!!! Its correct isnt it ;)? BARBOSS? and the sys i dont remember the link correctly, i have to look here, but one guy junk, dunk something like that, ported much thanks to he =]!! Guest defaultBR Posted July 20, 2009 Report Share Posted July 20, 2009 (edited) ARRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHH im gonna crazy and my head will explode killing all the world ¬¬!! i read all the guides again and again but i dont found where is the mistake.... see what i do: 1) Extracted DXID1 with i900Executor: Got customer.csc(disamblede already) Phone.bin Eboot.nb0 i900XX.exe(userdownloader.exe renamed) SYS FOLDER OEM FOLDER ROM FOLDER!! 2) Porting PART: Downloaded The 23007 SYS FOLDER TO 96DPI 0409 copied from the old DXID1 SYS the .VM folder deleted all the content in the DXID1 SYS copied the new SYS 23007 96DPI 0409 to SYS FOLDER in the ROM Kitchen pasted the old .VM folder from DXID1 (new sys dont have it) 3) Customized: REMOVED ALL THE SAMSUNG APPS UPDATE FLASHLITE TO 3.1 and NETCF to 3.5 4) PORTING XIP(DOWNLOADED FROM A COOKED 23007 ROM): INSERTING IN os.nb Tools\osnbtool.exe -c OS.nb 1 xip.bin. deleted the old os.nb and left the New OS.nb.new 5) DUMPING XIP: deleted XIP and romhdr.bin from /ROM/ folder copied the Dump.exe, 23007 XIP.bin, and a cmd to do the command: dump.exe xip.bin GOT THE NEW XIP dir and the new romhdr.bin into the /ROM/ folder 6) Grab the attached Tools.rar now and replace it with the old \Tools. (WHY THIS???? something new to overwrite the old tools?? mean: fix of something???) 7) Grab OS.nb.new into BUildRom.CMD(BuildOS.exe) -- deleted from new sys23007 the /AdobeFlash_LANG_0409/ Folder (returning exist error, dont remeber the file currectly). -- deleted from new sys23007 the /AdobeFlashCodecs/ Folder (returning exist error in flashsnddec.dll). -- deleted from new sys23007 the /Adobeflash/ Folder (returning exist error in the .RGU file and flashlite.dll) -- deleted from new sys23007 the /SIM_TKit/ folder (returning exist error in simtkit.dll) ---stayed with the new folder in SYS /ZZ_AdobeFlash/ created bye syokr, update Flash to 3.1 ---stayed with the new folder in SYS /ZZ_AdobeFlash_LANG_0409/ created by syokr, update flash to 3.1 ---stayed with the new folder in SYS /NETCFv35/ created by syokr, update netcf3.5 (the old was complety automatic removed) 8) Grab OS.nb.new into BuildRom.CMD(BuildOS.exe) AGAIN: --Fine i got the new PDA.bin without errors. 9) Creating the .exe updater - opened the cmd and typed: i900Tool.exe -c DXID1_wm6.5_testrom.exe GOT THE updater correctly trying to update to the phone NICE ALL is working fine lets see phone restarting... uuuu... samsung omnia logo, NICE........ samsung logo, nice......hmmm..hmmm why samsung logo dont go out?......20minutes later..... samsung logo still stucked in the screen... Guest DominikZ Posted July 20, 2009 Report Share Posted July 20, 2009 I don't know where you got your 23007 SYS folder, but it seems not beeing ported to omnia. 1st of all: you get the error messages because you have two adobe flash folders in SYS. 2nd: I think I got today the same sys folder as you. And it didn't work for me either. Try using 21812 from the first page. At least this release is working fine for me without any bugs/problems. Guest defaultBR Posted July 20, 2009 Report Share Posted July 20, 2009 (edited) Yes its not ported to Omnia, 1) no more ;) i deleted the old adobe flash folder as i said 2) yes the 21812 works coz its ported to omnia i tried it :) (Success) now im pretend to know how to port sys folder to... im reading one tutorial by ameet from xda about porting sys, i will try later :D!!! but i dont know if the tutorial "works" with omnia too, coz its in one cel section not in general forum :S!! btw dont have "only for xxx model" EDIT: tryed to port to 240x400(not changing the names) i got a ported omnias folders and put but in the buildos.exe i got the "dump/oem/imageinfo.bin doesnt exist o0 one idea? But it could be that problems are linked to the translation and not to the porting.... This afternoon i will upload ported SYS with 0409 lang for english cooker!
