Guest Scenarium Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Finnaly, great news!!!! The news are: We are still waiting and having hope... because hope dies last... :) that is the reason why we are comming back to this forum :D This new report is even better and even more exciting than the day the earth will explode! thank you so much, for letting us know :P
Guest andygreenough Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 So I'm guessing this just died then? Shame as it was looking promising.
Guest X-Ray A4T Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Well they have just redone the website so there is hope :) http://www.andromnia.net
Guest Mikew07 Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Well they have just redone the website so there is hope :) http://www.andromnia.net Unfortunately I think it is all about to die soon. Looks like google is starting to look more like apple with the latest cease-and-desist orders to a popular Android ROM creator. http://techblips.dailyradar.com/article/go...ase-and-desist/ One could only wonder if Verizon had something to do with this...

So if I'm reading the article correctly, I'm on a lot of allergy meds so I may have missed something, it looks like if we do get android on the omnia we we will have limited apps or non at all. Is there a legal roundabout way to use the marketplace on a modded rom?
Guest Zeski Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 So if I'm reading the article correctly, I'm on a lot of allergy meds so I may have missed something, it looks like if we do get android on the omnia we we will have limited apps or non at all. Is there a legal roundabout way to use the marketplace on a modded rom? Guys - calm down. This "cease and desist" is to do with an ex-Google employee making Android roms that contained proprietary source code. It has nothing to do with the Andromnia project.
Guest Stefan Jager Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 Helloo,, very nice that android on samsung.. i have tried but without result.. im from holland, and my english is not good.. for more words.. :) can some body help me? dutch spoken? dont get this forum. greetz.. Guest FeLLa_ Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 I think this project is dead. why do you say this? i.e. some guys working nearly 3 years on linux for nano (2G and later) we are working 6 month on andromnia o_O look here http://www.andromnia.net/
Guest semmtexx Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 why do you say this? i.e. some guys working nearly 3 years on linux for nano (2G and later) we are working 6 month on andromnia o_O look here http://www.andromnia.net/ People just get impatient alot. They don't realize that you guys work on this project in your free time and you don't have some huge, high paid development team working around the clock to pound this thing out. Keep up the good work!

Guest Mir_X Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 good luck, we're behind you all the way! =) +1 yes me too... keep going on it...
Guest Gibeon Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 Keep going indeed, however, I cant test it anymore, my omnia doesn't recognise SD cards anymore...
Guest shokka9 Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 I think this project is dead. thats a very disrespectful thing to say bro :) Can you get Android running on i900?
Guest thiefo Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 I think this project is dead. +1 i think
Guest semmtexx Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 Rant: @Thiefo: Just because you don't see much activity in THIS post does not mean there is no activity. This is not the main development thread. Maybe try and google it. Or maybe just jump on the "I'm an impatient douche that thinks this project is dead" bandwagon.
Guest Adyz Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 Rant: @Thiefo: Just because you don't see much activity in THIS post does not mean there is no activity. This is not the main development thread. Maybe try and google it. Or maybe just jump on the "I'm an impatient douche that thinks this project is dead" bandwagon. Can you please kindly direct me to the "main development thread"? I really would like to follow up with the project, but if you mean the http://www.andromnia.net/ site, I can't find any more detailed info there (sorry if I'm just blind ;-) )
Guest shokka9 Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 Some people make me laugh.. I went the easiet route to Android...i bought HTC Hero, and still have Omnia too....:D But seriously, i dont think alot of people that come here actually fully grasp the fact of how much work is actually needed to be able to run Android on the Omnia. Thats a fact, now add to that the guys who are doing this, are working in their OWN free time. So it will take longer. Guys, if something isnt moving at the rate you expect, then you need to get a life, do some reading, or try for yourself. Then you will realise this is not a couple of week job. Bye :)
Guest semmtexx Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 +1 for shokka, -1 for the smacktards like Adyz. Stop being a dopey ass, Adyz.
Guest RobMac92 Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Shokka, slightly off topic, but hows the responsiveness and speed of the HTC Hero? Was thinking of getting the Hero as well to work alongside my Omnia. Cheers
Guest mynullvoid Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Hi all, great work so far, since we are in the development phase, I would like to suggest to have a matrix of what is done and what is yet to be done - this can be at the first post, anyway this is my two cents :)
