anybody got a solution for the error above ? also tried to reformat the sd and copy the files again :D

It appears that you have permisson problems and that's something that happens in linux not windows. Did you copy the files from a linux distro?

If yes then google chown and set ownership to root. I don't use android but that could fix your problem.

I have ext2 partition on my sd card and when i try to run android, it says

"no filesystem could mount root, tried ext3 ext2 vfav msdos

kernel panic- not syncing UFS unable to mount root fs on unknown-block 179,1"

i have all files wherethey need to be. What name your ext2partition have?

i've tried few of them only some work....

if you don't know, just copy downloaded apps (.apk) to system/app/ folder on SDcard

finally after many attempts i was able to run it on my omnia!!!!! I also created a short video of it, below the link:

not really minimizing the download size but another way works too

download opensuse

install it in virtualbox and it works ok to...no cd burning needed

you can access ext2 partition (opensuse) and fat32 my storage (win) at the same time

no rebooting all the time needed

trien ubuntu that way and it doesn't really mount the ext2 partition...opensuse does

For me it works when  copy all content of system folder to the root and upload  vie live cd linux (slax 190mb) but wait some time after it says it coping

You just use linux to extract the archive. The other files you can use win (image/haret/text file) to put on my storage.

For the record, I got this to work on my i910. It'd be nice to get our hands on the new Samsung Android phone for Verizon that's coming soon, if for nothing else than to see how the CDMA drivers work.

As for the alpha, well, it's an alpha, but very encouraging. Thanks guys!
